Best gameplay in the series right here lads. Let's hope the Switch game can far surpass it.

Best gameplay? More like worst gameplay!
Eh, it was ok, but I thought it was way too short, even if it had a fair bit of gems. Felt like a "part 1" of a larger TRPG.
how is it the worst?
conquest is sufficiently difficult and requires a lot of tactics to succeed in. it's the most fun game in the series because you have to be the most observant and opportunistically minded compared to other games within the series.
Just a bunch of RNG bullshit with retarded maps
the entire series contains the same amount of rng as fates has so i don't understand your point
Well Fates was split up in three games so that's probably why.
They don't all have every enemy in the game getting random skills, many of which involve more RNG
Probably. I'd like a full-length game with some takeaway from it though.
>t. never actually played Conquest
Define "full-length"
>t. never played on Lunatic
Grow some balls kiddo, then come back and try to shitpost
I have. They're not random, unless you're talking about inevitable end being "random" because their shurikens can miss. Nice deflection though.
The money they got from Awakening, Fates, and Heroes will allow them to make a console installment as long RD at least.
What are you even saying?
You know what, retard motherfucker? My mistake, I was thinking of Awakening.
Conquest still has some pretty heinous maps, though. The kitsune map, the wind map, the vase map come to mind.
It was okay, difficulty got way too carried away in the final maps.
Map gimmicks are annoying.
Also desu, FE's gameplay is kind of boring me, I replayed the game a few times, and essentially for each playthrough, due to the high difficulty, I was pretty much locked into using the strongest units and royal family.
I don't like how characters due to specific stat growths are generally locked into the same role, I tried my hardest to make Elise into a good general, but my dreams were never fulfilled.
Fuck you casual
Go back to Echoes
I love all those maps but Kitsune. It can be pretty cheap because of the speed of the foxs and they always land of terrain. Beastkiller and lunge is really good there. Only maps I find bad are endgame lunatic and that.
I played the game on hard though.
I'd prefer if FE games allowed for more customization and ways of approaching situations, rather than "go royal family or go home."
Fates has the best customisation in the series with reclassing offering tons of experimental builds. The royals are good but you don't have to use them and can be replaced. There's no doubt Marx is the best unit in the game but like Haar or Percival you don't have to use him.
Not Conquest though.
I'll agree on Revelation and Birthright.
On hard mode, you'll most likely be using the Royals in Conquest, unless you bought the grinding and money DLC. I am not saying it's impossible to do, but the game really really pushes you into using them. Especially for the last two chapters, and the final boss which was ridiculous.
This game on Lunatic was literally perfect except for the final map.
Can't wait for FE Switch.
You'll likely use the royals in Conquest, yes, but they're not essential. Furthermore, every character is viable so there's a ton of variation in how you fill out the rest of your team.
Another thing that conquest doesn't get enough credit for is the difficulty curve. Other FE games might have a couple tough chapters early on, but by endgame the difficulty fades away. Conquest is really great in that the difficulty ramps up throughout the game and endgame is the hardest.
Well I was talking about hard. On lunatic Marx and Camilla are really the ones who you need to deploy along since only they can survive the hell that is lunatic. This is really just a initial problem with FE as a whole especially the harder ones. The easiest games have good unit balance, you can usually use anyone because enemies don't pose a threat. Conquest on the otherhand has really fucking threating enemy units who are designed to just fuck up the player. But Conquest also has fantasic balanced but requires some experimentation. You do get like 12 slots so isnt that much of issue.
Kind of dry and gimmicky, not too fun and also easy to break. All qualities of an only ok game
>finally about to beat CQ 12 Lunatic
>turn 15, just have to bust the last two pots and fly Corrin into the objective
>the pot blocking the doorway fucking immobilizes me for 2 turns
Well the bad pots are labeled with a negative effect.
I sort of just expected it to be a damaging one or something. I’ve learned from my mistakes, at any rate.
