Sold twice as much than Syndicate at launch

Did the drm really work that much? What does this mean for the future of gaming?

>Did the drm really work that much?

How the fuck would we know without knowing the specific pc sales. Could be consolefags who can't pirate games.

it's not the drm, it's the fact that they actually made a decent game this time

>game that took twice as long to come out made twice the money
don't really see what the big deal is. and if they're going to make the money, I would prefer they make it trying new stuff instead of the yearly formulaic games

Stupid thread 2/10 try harder next time

If length of development = money, Star Citizen would be golden. It doesn't, however, so your post is retarded. As are you.

This, sunk 60 hours in it. Setting makes Assassins Creed game, not story or gameplay.
AC3, Unity and Syndicate had the worst settings imaginable.

>launch content
What the fuck is that?

>cut stuff out and advertise it as new content
>WOW SO NICE

I don't know, I quite enjoyed London in Syndicate myself, only problem was the fucking river.

it's actually really tiny part of the game, marketing team just have to earn the keep somehow

Then why haven't we had an asian settings yet?

AC3 did. Unity and Syndicate would have been good settings, but Unity was terrible for other reasons, and people were tired of yearly AC by time Syndicate released.

late 19th century london is what any old city in europe looks like, heck i'm in russia and old part of town look like london here
it's nice city but stale, same way with paris if not for a few landmarks

If a modern AAA game launched with no post-launch content, people would complain that the game was unfinished anyway.

How many times will we have to repeat this fact? DRM won't make a pirate pay up! It will only delay the inevitable! GOSH!!

Mongolian invasion China would be nice.
No idea why they ignore it, nobody makes games about china.

or maybe, since we know they took a year off and we know that it sold twice as much, then we know that the average amount of revenue per year would be roughly the same, dumbass

Yeah because a game sells good because of DRM and not because people think the gameplay and story is engaging.

>dont make a game with female protag
>it sells twice as more
>"must be thanks to the DRM"
The absolute state of OP in 2017

Unity was perfect as setting. Origins owes a lot to it.

LOL

interesting ubisoft always say their latest game broke sale records
they never release official numbers or independent third party source confirm their numbers
