The gauntlet from 39 down a few floors then back up to 40 is the most unfun garbage.

Be prepared for a metric shitton of grinding once you get about halfway up.
It can be comfy if you try to make it though.

Another game where the metagame ruins the mechanics.

Well not really. The fucking length of the loading screens ruined it for me. Those motherfuckers are a minute long, almost as long as you spend on most flaws. Most of my gripes just come down to I don't want to sit through that much waiting again.

Would have been a good game if they didn't make it so you either had to pay up or grind like a motherfucker once you hit the surface.

I killed the jackals and made it to the top and there was nothing but grinding forever so I quit.

I think it might be your internet, since thegame has to communicate with the server after almost every action.
I'm constantly moving back and fourth between two houses and the loading screens seem to get way shorter when I'm at the one with better internet.
still. even so, I haven't had any that were nearly that long.

I was like the 20th person in the world to reach the end.
If you actually like the game then you should know that there is literally nothing to do once you do reach the end. It's just a singleplayer game in a sort of multiplayer costume. You also have to grind a shitton and it can get really boring.
You should also know that the devs are extremely incompetent and updates take forever to arrive. And once they do arrive its always: "Wow its fucking nothing"

Man fuck this game. Cool aesthetics/world/characters, good gameplay systems, clunky but okay combat, bogged down by fucking shit MMO grinds and cheese. Why did I even keep playing after the circus stage, let alone beat it

Would have been better with more variety in environment. Also, the next game should straight up be p2p with no microtransactions, but that's just wishful thinking.

I got to floor 16 or something and stopped because of the stupid grinding. The game is repetitive as fuck though the first 10 floors were pretty good in terms of experience with the game. It's one of those games that are fun as fuck to play but only for a short while and then it becomes pure rancid shit afterwards. Also, I didn't find the game to be as hard as people make it out to be, you're just not allowed to play like a retard because it punishes you hard for that.

All i wanted was for fucking jackal y to drop his clothes so i could have all the jackal equipment and be mentally done with the game, but after 150+ kills of him alone and all the fucker does is drop the ray gun BP

Stopped at floor 36 after released. Back then the grind was just too much for good equip. Farming metal from a chest was not fun at all.

you're either grinding money for shop days or grinding chest

but getting T4 long sword makes you kill the first forceman in one counter

Or you could just grind the bosses for materials

I miss the small period where the majority of the community hadn't passed Level 30 and realized it was a bullshit game.

Still, 20 hours of good fun for free isn't bad.

desu they've made the grinding a lot easier with quite a lot of patches

now all they need to actually do is make the combat more fun becuase most of the time you're just baiting the dumb AI

Top tier visuals, music and atmosphere and the all around concept had so much potential. They really ruined it with the grind and freemium shit.

mostly because by the time it was out in japan, they've had those weekly events to make grinding easier

That game had one of the most extensive soundtracks I have ever seen. And some really good songs to boot. It was fun for awhile.
