I unironically think the diplomacy in 6 is way better than 5, I get good deals they don't constantly beg only the dick civs fuck me, or a civ that gets a retarded agenda

I'm playing a hotseat "email game" with 5 friends.

It's pretty retarded that they've forgotten that email games actually exist, since you can change peoples passwords when you load it up.

Make a move, save the game, email the save to somebody else. They load up the save, make their move, save the game, send it to the next person. etc. etc.

I just want them to release a gold edition already, jesus.

Yeah pretty much. Sometimes we have get togethers and play a proper hotseat game, since we can't convert the save to a proper multiplayer one.

Gives you more time to plan ahead though, perfect for grand strategy such as this.

Also, it takes like a whole year for example to play a game. But it feels more real, if that makes sense than one against bots or whatever.

There's very little of that to be honest. It's not like civ V which got you all conservative with cities, VI has you trying to spam cities everywhere you can and the new online speed makes things even quicker in comparison.

I remember the early starts of V where fucking nothing happened, and you'd load up a move just to move a scout two spaces and that's it.

I wanted to play Alpha Centauri, which actually supports email games (it even calls them that), and has a better setting, but the UI is too depressing for modern playthroughs.

I'm currently going for a religious victory, shit's kinda weird.

I did send him back home to heal every one in a while, but that was certainly something I hadn't tried before. Also Russia is fucking great especially later in the game, too bad about Peter's useless leader ability.

Peter is such a cunt, literally every civ hates him in every game because he will shit on you if you aren't ahead in science AND culture

I can't relate, he always loves me for being ahead of him. Maybe because you play on a higher difficulty than prince and I don't?

Been playing a game with my friends. Loving the Aztecs and how quickly they can expand in the early game. Eagle Warriors are based.

Shuffle takes almost all the possible map customization options and puts them all on random, the fact that you had an unlucky spawn is just that; bad luck.

And many more civs that are just made for Ancient/Classic extermination and warfare. It's crazy yo.

It's pretty cool. I always felt like the only real combat began in 5 around the late game, but it's nice to be able to immediately make some troops and send them out.

Civ VI is a dead game and Civ V is still thriving.

I know there aren't many expansions on VI yet, but I don't even think that anything could save it anymore.
