no
it actually looks really awkward
I think I would have more fun just playing normal games with a VR view than playing VR games with wonky VR controllers
My eyes hurt just watching this footage.
>people paying money to play a trash game now with trash and awkward controls
>people have money you don't
Hurts, huh?
>are you hyped
fuck no, it's just another iteration of skyrim. come back when bethesda makes a game for once.
>That black effect while walking
>people have money you don't
Why would I pay for something that's not fun, even If i was a billionaire?
Can they not fucking smooth out those minute twitches
No wonder people get motion sickness with these games, head is thrashing around all over the place up down left and right constantly.
Indeed, fellow poster. I too am looking forward to such an immersive experience. Skyrim VR will surely make VR as a video gaming platform!
Yeah, that works surprisingly well, dolphin VR is pretty great
You can do that in Skyrim.
oh so this is why people get mad at furries
>Skyrim VR: because Skyrim combat wasn't clunky and floaty enough
>no mod support
Oh boy, more recycling! That's right bethesda, milk that cow! I don't want another elder scrolls anyway since you'll just ruin it!
I love modern gaming!
yall acting liek this wont be amazing with mods
Too bad that Skyrim is a trash game
>blah blah blah Hallo, I'm a Cuck Mc'Cucker from Polygon
Thats where i closed the playback
Do people actually complain about Skyrim's opening?
You can breeze through it in 5 minutes.
It'd be even faster if you weren't being yanked around by the short hairs for all of the forced drama and introduction. Oblivion was worse, yes, but Morrowind and Daggerfall basically said "welcome to the elder scrolls faggot, go get lost in the wilderness" and kicked you out the door.
>5 minutes
Do you have any sense of time? The initial cutscene alone is about 7 minutes.
>with mods
About that.
lol looks dope
>Kicked you out the door
You mean besides Daggerfall landing you in a dungeon straight away.
I unironically think that VR won't take off until nintendo or valve make something interesting with it.
We've had nothing but tech demos and very crude ports of games that don't need VR to exist. VR needs its mario 64 and i bet my ass nintendo is just waiting for the right technology to appear.
>Mario 64 VR
as cool as this sounds though with all the moves they'd have to implement when we just aren't really there yet tech-wise.
no
skyrim and fallout vr ports seem to be a stuttery mess so far
it's gonna give a lot of people a bad first impression of vr
also it's still the same bad base game and no porn mods so there's not point playing it
Apparently it can be turned off in the settings
It's not just a matter of "technology" but a matter of design, both hardware and game-wise. The following matters should be tackled:
>How can vidya benefit from VR in a non-shallow way.
>Is 1st person the automatic way to go, or are there other options?
>How "solid" can you make the experience. Is lack of motion/tactile feedback crippling the experience irredemably? Are there ways around it?
>How do you navigate and interact in a VR environment. Mario's sommersaults in 64 are fun as hell but how does that translate in VR? Do I have to perform an actual sommersault? Do I just press a button?
These are crucial and I don't think current VR titles are dealing with them. We need better tech and people aware of how games are made. I personally bet on nintendo.
>nintendo
>good hardware
top lol
>"skyrim was never precise"
>polygon
thanks for wasting my time cuck
>skyrim for the 8073407470th time. Instead of shilling here Todd make TES IIIIX already
but that's not wrong
skyrim combat is like swinging big foam sticks
Nintendo will go at whatever hardware allows them to make the games they want to make.
VR doesn't allow for games like that yet, so they are still monitoring the state of the art until it's not fucking shit.
Have you guys bought your official SKYRIM VR © candles yet?
>Nintendo will go at whatever hardware allows them to make the games they want to make.
Must be why BotW ran 20fps at launch and Mario Odyssey is 640x720 in handheld mode.
Nintendo sells cheap hardware at an insane markup and it hurts their games
>He thinks skyrim vr will have mods
>vr candles
What does that have to do with fucking VR?
Are you perhaps SEETHING?
Nintendo hardware is and always be trash
That looks like a blurry mess. Why is it that when a single new thing pops up every 5 months we have some retard claiming VR isn't dead?
Nice fake news image.
Does this image still get (you)s? I hope so
NONONONONOOOOOOO
Nice fake news.
Is Skyrim the most re-released game right below Resident Evil 4?
>shitch
>4k
AAAAAAAAAAHHHAJAK
>parkinson's simulator
>praised the sun a little bit there
When can we finally gas gaming journalists?
>Shitch
Still seething, aren't you pokebarneyfag? Stop shitting up the thread with your off topic bullshit.
>those swinging sounds when the player even shakes the sword
>stabbing with swords STILL not implemented
how goddamn incompetent can they be
You can do everything in Skyrim
I love how awkward VR is. And people used to claim this thing was going to be immersive and make you forget you were even playing a game.
That looks fucking horrible on a billion levels.
>most people love and embrace memes
>a journalist hamfists memes to appeal to the bigger demographic
>slam them for doing what literally makes the most business sense
I'm not saying I approve. I'm just saying any published opinion is bull shit.
Yeah looks incredible, can only imagine how amazing it'll feel to experience it in VR.
I can go out and spend 25k on a chevy biscayne
but why would I do that? The car sucks
>I don't want another elder scrolls anyway since you'll just ruin it!
This we all know whats coming
>no mod support
you are like little baby. watch THIS
