Tales of Berseria. Is it worth it?

I'm torn between Berseria, L.A. Noire, and Shadow of War.

Berseria's a hit or miss game but it's still the best option of the three

Please. The rest of the series have good music still because of that composer being god-tier, but only Phantasia had a decent storyline and characters. The rest of the series was uguu, over the top weeaboo bullshit and bullshit twists.

It's a nice RPG with OK combat, something like Naruto Ninja Storm series, but with more action buttons and custom combos amazing party, and lot's of hours of fun. From your list, I would buy Berseria, wait for a discount on La Noire, and completely forget about the existence of SoW because it's shit.

It's pretty... different. The party is unapologetically composed of villains full of charisma, in the MC's search for revenge. In the progression of the plot it becomes more and more clear that Velvet and their friends are the villains of the story, and they just end up saving the world by colatheral damage.

I started with Phantasia, then Destiny, and Eternia which I didn't enjoy because of the American voice acting. I just want opinions on the new Berseria game.

LA Noire got kinda boring after the novelty wears off and berseria needs ~30 hours before it gets interesting but only if you like casual animu banter.

The linear battle system is shit. Legendia is only playable because of the story, and Abyss just get good when you gain the ability to run sideways.

The modern games have flaws, but the combat ain't one of then.

Just posting to say PS1 Tales of Phantasia is best. Don't play the SNES or GBA versions.

What's good about L.A. Noire?

What's bad about SoW? I know about the loot boxes and I don't want to support that practice but it looks fun.

What's hit or miss about Berseria?
I've played all of those games, I don't really want something too similar. Games with cute girls aren't a selling point for me if the rest of the game isn't fun.

Are the party members actually composed of villains? It sounds like a revenge story, but plenty of heroes had strong motivation for pursuing revenge (Edmond Dantes for example). How do they cross the definition into becoming villains?
I didn't touch Zestiria. Do I need to?

I am around 20 hours into the game and i am probably going to drop it soon. The story was interesting at first but really it isn't all that good and it can't compensate for everything else being quite lackluster. The combat is really bad, i have put it on the hardest difficulty but i can still close my eyes and win most fights just spamming buttons. The rpg elements are light as fuck as well. What this game really is is a poor dragged out action game with and the enjoyment you will get out of this is based on how much you like the story and characters.

Zestiria was a medicore game, not horrible but nothing special either. Playing it before Berseria lets you notice some of the connection both games have - but it isn't anything major.

Berseria isn't much better, but like i wrote before it can be nice if you are into animu character developement and banter.
