Is Sup Forums enjoying Assassin's Creed Origins?
Fuuuck yeah
Yeah sadly I only got a couple of side quests and locations left to do. The game gave me 75~ hours of entertainment.
Way more than I thought I would, yes. I just killed the Crocodile and I think I’m getting close to the end so I’m just taking it easy exploring and mopping up side quests.
How much should I care about hitting Lv40 and killing Anubis in the next 4 days? I don’t think I have the time to do so, but I’d hate to miss out on something “forever”. (Fuck you too, Hitman elusive targets.)
Aside from the horse-cock combat, it's surprisingly good.
Horse-cock gameplay altogether, really. Stealth, combat, parkour - everything is so painfully basic. But if you just want a nice world to do easy quests in, it's okay.
Shit, idunno. It's pretty shit in some ways, yet it's also pretty chill to play it. Way more fun than most AssCreeds before.
Cracked yet?
You got like 8 main quests left and some of them are pretty lengthy. Anubis will also be back next month, they are rotating 4 different gods weekly afaik.
>Hitman elusive targets
If you haven't heard, they're going to be bringing back all of the elusive targets that have already passed because of the upcoming GOTY Edition. You would have another shot at the ones you've missed if that's any consolation.
Still waiting for the Wii version I ordered >:/
I think it's going to rotate around eventually.
More than I should, I hated it at first but it really grew on me. My biggest complaint though is the simple combat combined with the leveling. The combat can actually be enjoyable on hard when fighting something at your level, but once you're a few levels over them nothing is a challenge. Really needs scaling or a harder difficulty.
I actually much prefer the combat and especially parkour now since it feels a lot more free and “flexible” instead of heavily magnetizing to all enemies and any piece of nearby architecture. In the old games I would constantly be jumping to somewhere I totally didn’t mean to because that’s what the game THOUGHT I wanted to do. I haven’t had that feeling with Origins.
Yeah I feel the gameplay as whole is a jack of all trades but master of none. But I hope they refine the combat and stealth for the next game, like the naval battles in AC3 were a prototype for Black Flag.
Ok, good to know that I’ll get at least one chance per month.
Not much consolation. So I have one (1) more chance forever? Nah, too much pressure. Not even gonna bother reinstalling. The game did just as much to turn me off as it did to draw me in.
Only played the first hour or so after a kind user posted a free code here. Seems legit and I like the positive word of mouth it's getting.
I was really pissed they made you shave the beard
You can put it back on, but it makes sense for lore reasons.
You can press RT/LT + Y/Triangle in the gear menu to bring it back. Seems to be a debug feature they left in. Can do it on PC as well but I think it requires a controller.
they are adding in hair options next PC patch. You can change it already on PC by using a controller when selecting an outfit and pressing L or R.
already beat it and uninstalled, and I'll probably forget most details in a week or two
>please rescue my son, he is in the barracks
>they are holding him captive?
>yes, he joined the army then defected
>...
i literally dont care about anyone i am helping and they are often in the wrong
I could really not care about the lore at all, I just hated how it made him look like everyone else.
>The Hidden Ones (DLC 1) – This expansion takes place years after the events of Assassin’s Creed Origins in a new region occupied by a Roman force. Bayek and the new Assassins will clash with the Romans as the Brotherhood continues to grow, and players will have a new level cap. Slated for release in January 2018.
>The Curse of the Pharaohs (DLC 2) – The second expansion focuses on Egyptian mythology, pitting players against undead pharaohs and famed Egyptian monsters. Bayek will need to explore a mystical new realm and discover the root of the curse that has brought these creatures to life. This expansion will also raise the level cap again and introduce new skills for Bayek. Scheduled for a March 2018 launch.
I have never ever spend any money on Ubisoft season passes and shit like that, but this sounds promising tbqh
Surprisingly fun. If you liked Black Flag you'll like this, if you didn't you won't. My inly complaint is that it's just too easy. That's expected with AC though
Agreed and it seems like the dlc is going to come out really fast unlike a lot of games that release it all over a year.
Agreed, he went from badass to little bitch in one cutscene
Going to be satisfying killing Roman pigs
I wonder if I should save my drachmas now that they are adding a higher level cap and possible a HQ to upgrade in the hidden ones
I was so happy with his appearance at the beginning of the game, now he looks boring as fuck
Haven't played any AC games since Black Flag. I've disregarded the series because of the train wreck that Unity was. Why has this game generated so much hype compared to the others, and is the main story still remotely relevant anymore? I don't understand anything happening ever since Desmond's death.
>no mention of Aya
Thank god fuck that bitch, Bayek better hook up with Praxilla.
Aside from the combat system, this is just another AC game. And in reality, the combat system is just a slightly more interactive version of what they've been doing since the first game. I don't understand the turnaround AC has had on this board.
Don't get me wrong, I unironically enjoyed every AC game, including this one. I just don't get why Sup Forums is suddenly all about AC with only a minor increase in quality over previous installments.
Nah the modern day stuff is pretty unremarkable stuff happening the background, the game progresses the modern day story like a day at maximum and the Assassins gets a new recruit.
>Why has this game generated so much hype compared to the others
shills
>main story
it's still happening but it's not as prominent, and basically non-existent in Origins
they're saving her for the sequel set in Rome
why did Brutus stab Caesar in the balls? He only got one stab in and he made it count.
I actually am.
Finished the normal arena fights today. Hoplite is best boy. I hope you spared him!
Reminder that Denuvo won.
Same "turnaround" that happens every new AC, though it seems only the Black Flag shilling was considered legit enough to accept as fact (despite the game being fucking terrible same as every AC from 3 onward)
Games get shilled to hell and back, come back after a month or two to see what people really thought about this shit.
For me it's mainly that I like the setting.
Pls no, just let her be in the game as an old hag
Is the arena good? I'm worried I'll be over-leveled by the time I get to it.
I'm having so much fun with this game
Definitely the best game we've had in a while.
One of the best if not the best Assassin's Creed games

What a dick move to do, and isn’t it a little overkill to stab him like a billion times?
it's the only way to be sure
wrong, VMprotect DRMING Devenuvo won.
The arena in Cyrene has fights for lvl 30-40 and you can't choose your weapons. I went in fully upgraded and got fucked a few times because the combat's not great. And you BETTER have skills like shield charge and what not, otherwise you're in for a world of pain.
And then there's the elite fights...
Also, fuck Aya. And Layla.
Fuck 'em.
I am fine with this. I am not a father anymore. I am not a husband. I am not a Medjay. I am a Hidden One
Hnng
still waiting for the crack
No, unless there's a crack.
Usually they just tack on some gameplay element, but there are definitely some fundamental changes to the game that sets it apart from the rest, including BF.
Unfortunately the changes are all RPG tropes for the sake of it being an RPG.
I hope we get a Rome sequel with better gladiator fights. The protagonist could be a gladiator for all I care and have us find Spartacus’ weapon and armor or whatever.
>cutting off your finger has become a ritual because Bayek is a big idiot
also, I really appreciate the lack of tailing missions.
A lot of this game reminds me of Phantom Pain.
My exact thoughts, it's not as bad as I thought but it's still just another asscreed game. The setting is very well done though, the team who designed the world put more work in this game than anyone else. Combat is somehow uglier and cheaper feeling than the old combat and I really hate it. Feels like Kmart tier combat system.
yes
great game and it triggers the piratepoors
They need to make the combat much more visceral and have decapitations. The weapons just clip through the enemies and that’s why it looks so cheap.
This is the same game that punishes you for killing goats, they're not going to be gratuitously violent.
I can't explain it. Mechanically it's simplistic and flawed, but I feel compelled to visit every location and do all the shit and I've been completely disinterested in open world games for a while. I think it's the time period and setting and that it looks really good that makes it nice to wander around in.
it looks like shit though
Anyone else start laughing every time they see Alberto barbosa?
Not on my machine, time to upgrade your toaster poorfag.
The only melee technique I ever use is charged heavy attack
All the boat sections were hamfisted in. They didn't feel like they should have been part of the game even though they were kinda fun...
its maxed out tho. it just looks like TRASH
>All the boat sections were hamfisted in. They didn't feel like they should have been part of the game even though they were kinda fun...
This. They felt good in Black Flag because you had a lot more freedom in that game. In Origins they are just sort of there and not even that good...
Phoxidas a bro, tho.
Just hit level 38 and my quest list is enormous. It will be nice to finally upgrade all these low level legendary to endgame level soon.
Environment wise, geometry and architecture etc.
It's a DX11 so yeah if the lighting is flat in an area it looks bad
Is it cracked yet?
>finally complete the hippodrome races
>elite mode unlocked
Hell no fuck this shit
I plan to go through the rest of AC series while the crack is in the works. Any tips on the order of playing? How many games does it takes to burn out?
You’re better off using the money on the heka chests or buying legendaries in the shop that unlocks after beating the main quests
Play 2 and Black Flag
I'm still skeptical on purchasing it, I've never really personally liked the games, mainly for the shit story-telling and bug/glitches, but the gameplay has always been a guilty pleasure to some extent. Is it worth the game guys?
Order of release, but you will burn out really quickly
You can skip Unity and Syndicate.
Also, 3 if you don't really care.
you can skip IV, Rogue, Unity, and Syndicate.
maybe 3 if you don't care about the modern plot that much
no
>skipping 4
absolute madman
>4 is good meme
there's way too many tailing missions for me to recommend it in good conscience
Yes, I personally cracked the game last week but I don't see why I should tell any one else how. They can do their own hard work
If you want to play them all, then go in this order: 2 -> brotherhood -> 1 -> revelations -> black flag -> syndicate -> unity.
Skip 3 and rogue.
i saw my friend playing it yesterday. it looks alright. i would buy it for 20 bucks. none of the animations are smooth. they failed to make a bloodborne dodge.
Why do everyone hate 3? I thought it was pretty good
It’s actually harder to dodge in this game because there’s no iframes
>2 -> brotherhood -> 1 -> revelations
I played through in that order a few years ago, it's a little jarring going from Brotherhood which is just bursting with shit to do to 1 being so sparse but I'd totally back you up on that.
It’s actually harder to dodge in this game because there’s no iframes
people didn't like Connor, especially compared to Haytham
also the cities were shit
it's some kind of meme here. i thought it was good. i liked the protagonist and the city you got to roam in. everything felt good.
Daily reminder Ubisoft paid off the scene with bitcoin to protect initial sales, VMProtect and Denuvo aren't the reason a cracked release hasn't emerged
Everyone has their price
It’s actually harder to dodge in this game because there’s no iframes
Hello ubishill!
It’s actually harder to dodge in this game because there’s no pusseeeeeeeeee
oh shit, the shill's back!! yay
I really liked playing as a big native american dude with a tomahawk and a lot of the main missions were really fun. I don’t like that their newer games jump straight into it like the prologue in Origins.
just change it back then
Wait do i have to wait months until they cycle through the gods to get the anubis outfit?
thats retarded wtf.
Ah the autistic soulsdrones crawled out of the gutter
1 month.
It’s actually harder to dodge in this game because there’s no iframes
Who the hell wants chrome armrests, imagine the fingerprints
