Are they at least different reviewers? Because if so it's, while still suspect, at least plausible they liked the game more than the guy doing the original review and that's the discrepancy. If it's the same dude then fuckin obvious bonus points no matter how you slice it.
Two different reviewers. Switch one was by a "FILIP MIUCIN", while the other was by a "JOAB GILROY "
this happen with mario kart 8 too
>Are they at least different reviewers?
The same company that fired a guy because he gave 7.4 score to Switch hardware...
Not saying Nintendo is evil but Nintendo of America pay for reviews for sure
It's been well established that the Official Nintendo Review Bonus is in the region of 1.2-1.8 points.
Wonder what the average bonus is.
Still the quality of the switch version will definately be lower than that of the PC/ps4/xbox. So really it should score lower as it technically is doom, but missing aspects.
WOAH THE NINTENDO BONUS IS REAL
BLING BLING BWAHOOOOOO
:D
In short Filip is either a fucking nintendo fanboy.
Or Joab Hates video games. or both.
Is this true??
How many millions of dollars did IGN take from Nintendo to do this?
>nintendo bonus is re-
>itt people forget that doom originally shipped a buggy mess til the 66.6GB patch announcement with all DLC included.
>people wonder why a more complete game got a higher score a year later.
Dumb drones
delete pls
>Nintendo bonus is the new meme any time a Nintendo game gets a good score
Wow, Sup Forums was this anally BTFO by both Breath of the Wild and Odyssey, huh?
>doom originally shipped a buggy mess til the 66.6GB patch announcement
What the fuck are you talking about you stupid cunt
they're Wojak shitposters
Just ignore the Nintendo bonus and stop bringing it up.
But both are published as IGN (the website conglomerate)'s accumulative score.
Doom on switch literally shouldn't get a higher score than any other version, even if the reviews are from two different people.
This means either IGN needs to find a consistent scale to grade with, or they need to have multiple editors also judge on the scores before they're published.
Or both.
Don't use logic. Shit posters are going full mental gymnastics recently and it's just funny to watch them stew in their own piss.
I love it when a meme gets forced into relevancy
What does that have to do with whether or not the person writing the reviews differed?
I think he means 6.66 patch - it fixed the game's dlc so everything is unlockable.
>Same game but one of them does everything the other does substantially better except being able to be played portably with really uncomfortable controllers for a shooter
>It gets a lower score
lol
>Meme gets forced into relevancy
That's literally modern Sup Forums. Even the memes this board shits out now are just recycled trash from 2008. Like brainlet wojack.
I think IGN does it for free. they probably see ninty as a potential advertiser and only hire fanboys.
We're complaining about IGN giving Nintendo a biased/paid review
Oh, how the times have changed.
She have porn?
It's all forced memes and other excuses when you expose Nintendo and their cancerous fanbase.
Literally liberals.
Granted, other websites used to have shitstorms because IGN gave Sony games an 8/10 instead of 10/10. I'm not trying to do the whole >b-but sony! shit, but that hivemind is fucking awful to experience.
*squat*
VIDEO GAMES
it means you are fucking 5 years old paying attention to any kind of reviews
kill yourself fucking retard
>Much lower texture quality
>Halved framerate
>1/3 of the package (snapmap) is missing
>1.4 points higher
Even if it is different reviewers, there should have been some overseer monitoring this sort of thing.
The portability and engineering feat getting it on the system is not worth the extra points, especially when they've sacrificed an entire mode and turned a game which touted (and pretty much requires) a 60fps framerate into a 30fps game.
Eh I guess it has DLC included in Multiplayer, but my prediction is MP population will be dead on arrival.
As for the 7.1, if you rewind a year: the Doom MP beta was disliked before release, which negatively impacted reviews. MP was dramatically improved by release and the campaign was way better. IGN reviews (that aren't paid for) often reflect community bandwagons, they'll never stick their neck out for a game unless they're getting paid.
The 8.5 partly represents the growing interest over time that the game received after launch. When it dropped to less than $30 it was pretty good value for money.
But paying full Nintendo Retail Price™ for a suboptimal version of a game that's $20 on other platforms is full retard tier.
lol
Huh? I played at release and didn't come across any bugs.
>Doom
>Gets a 6.66 patch
That's pretty funny, I wonder if they tried getting it to that number or it just happened to be a coincidence.
>literally the first sentence says the game isn't flawless
>100/100
gaming """journalism"""" was a mistake
Mario Kart 8 on switch had more content and considering it's a party game, it being portable makes a massive difference.
10/10 doesn't mean that something is flawless
7.4 was a fair launch review for the switch but not a good long term review. i don't know what points were made in the article but that's certainly not something to be assmad about. reviewing consoles at launch in general is stupid.
>le "10/10 means it was created by god himself" meme
shut up you fucking nerd
You fail to understand what actually happens here.
>game comes out
>no SJW agenda, no cover shooting, nothing that people tend to like
>give the game average score
>gamers love it
>game gets rereleased, IGN now knows people like the game so they give it higher score
Happened to dark souls aswell, that's why DaS2 is the highest rated dark souls game. Game reviewers make money from clicks, there's 2 ways to achieve that. Playing the contrarian which spikes your clicks but turns people off in the long run and then confirming the general opinion which makes people think they were right all along and generate positive feelings for your readers.
>Kirby Air Rider and Custom robo that low
uh?
>Switch superior to PC
lmao okay retards
IGN is a joke. Who knew?
lol nintenfaggot
You can't write ignorant without IGN.
>something with 73 is still in yellow
This is why you should never take Metacritic seriously
>IGN is a joke. Who knew?
People knew this a decade ago.
youtube.com
you are a fucking imbecile. steam reviews had it as 90 plus positive on release night. for a pc game where even the slightest issue results in mass negative reviews it shows it was a practically flawless version of the game.
>implying GOTY2016 had bugs
paid reviewers
>IGN (the website conglomerate)'s accumulative score.
No you stupid faggot, it's published as a review.
A review is done by a reviewer, its just that guys opinion.
Is this the Nintendo Victory Thread?
>It's real
Wow. This is serious dumbfuck territory.
Nintentoddlers have a lower bar. Which is basically the same as the bonus. They’re basically judging it on a different scale where a 10/10 Nintendo game is an 8/10 on any other platform
holy shit will nintendo ever recover?
>7.1
The original score was underrated.
This is a video game console. You might not like it, but this is what peak performance looks like.
Someone post the BLACKED version
Of course the Nintendo bonus exists, just look at the score BOTW and SMO got.
Remember Skyward Sword? No? Yeah well neither does every else and that got high scores across the board like BOTW did.
Your just now figuring out the Nintendo bonus is real?
Seriously?
The switch version doesn't have the issues present at launch. For instance, the multiplayer used to have some serious issues.
>4-6 points off for a port that looks and runs significantly worse than the original which already had performance issues with the number of enemies on screen
>Switch version got a higher score then the PC version, where literally everything looks and feels better
Look at me with a straight face and tell me the Nintendo bonus isn't real
They meant that the game is best played on Switch. What is hard to understand?
Holy shit Sup Forums continues to be an anally ravaged by the Switch.
It feels like the butthurt increased twofold since the gaffags invaded.
>Sup Forums is s-so mad haha...
Switchfags are like broken records. This almost exclusively say this when confronted with any criticism. How absolutely pathetic.
>hadn't used my Pro Controller in almost 2 years
>picked it up yesterday to start playing some Wii U games I didn't get around to finishing
>It came on and I've used it for maybe 4~5 hours since then
The battery life in these things is a sight to behold.
>Two different writers give two different opinons about a game and rate shit differently
The scoring system for any review site means literally nothing.
>best played on Switch
An fps. Best played on a controller, instead of mouse and superior graphics and fps on PC.
Good bait.
How would a paid review get posted without first going through the editor?
>wanting to play a glorified point and click game because he's not good enough to play with dual analogs
Lol, git gud fag
>He's a fucking casual that eats soup with a spoon instead of a single knife like the professionals
Pathetic.
>Custom Robo
>65
Even IGN knows Doomguy needs to be in Smash
This. People are fucking retarded for the paid reviews shit. Sites literally do it for free, either to drive traffic with a controversial review, appease fanboys of very popular series (GTA4, MGS4, V, Nintendo) or just make political statements. Of course there are many normies doing reviews now so it's not unexpected that a normie game gets praise legitimately.
brap
pfft
>My face when PS4/Xbox faggots whine about downgrades when I get to experience the game in its highest quality AND on a portable system
That's a mess of cherry-picked examples. Pilotwings 64, for instance, came from an era where a 6.x would mean reasonably average.
>glorious 320x200@24fps in portable mode like god intended
You can't compare review scores from two different reviewers. That's why review scores, especially from publications with multiple writers, are so worthless.
Not even OP trusts review scores. He just wants to shitpost about them.
The Switch port has the advantage of not having competition on the Switch. There are plenty of alternatives to Doom on XBox and PS4 but not on Switch
It's more DOOM than you can play when you're outside the house, loser.
Which one do you honestly think is better.
Honestly.
>He spent 140 USD for the same game.
End your life already.
The PC version naturally, but can I carry a $900 custom built desktop to casual places that aren't LANs? The answer is pretty obvious.
I still enjoy online MK8D.
>Sup Forums was this anally BTFO
You mean reseterats.
Why the fuck would you play your games outside the house?
Either I'm busy doing something or driving my car. Literally the only people who play consoles outside their homes are children who are driven to school by their moms.
>how good a game is depends on how many other games are on the same platform
le thinking emoji
Yeah, fuck going to friends houses and having something to do when the conversations die down. Fuck going for casual walks through parks assuming you don't live in some crime-ridden shithole.
Could also be that the reviewer gave it a higher score because anything popular should be given a high rating.
>Switchfags think for the business and not for the consumer
Jesus Christ.
>D+ is a good grade
Both the music and movie Metacritic scores don't go yellow until 59.
>going to friends houses and having something to do when the conversations die down
Sorry, I'm not 10
The point is you can current to previous gen console games on a handheld for $300. That's pretty fucking incredible.
>having something to do when the conversations die down
That's adults start fucking, kid.
I'm not sure if I want to buy it again. Got it on pc for 15 bucks.
