Forces is nowhere near 06 or Boom levels of fundamentally broken, even with the retarded Classic Sonic physics. Even the story, as stupid as it is, doesn't reach 06 levels of melodramatic lack of self-awareness.

It's a bad game. But it's not bad enough to go down in the annals of Sonic history. It'll be forgotten and become a "Oh yeah, that existed" soon enough, like Lost World.

Lost World was a bit better though. Forces doesn't really have any good levels where LW had at least a few. Forces is never really terrible though. It's mediocrity incarnate.

I haven't played the game and honestly I'm not even going to bother but for what I saw it's nowhere close to something like Sonic 2006. That game was literally busted. Sonic Forces is just a mediocre game that follows some bad design choices.

But I get that the internet has a much broader idea of "bad" nowadays. Like, a game doesn't have necessarely be Big Rigs level of broken to be considered bad but it's bad seen in it's optic and range.

I can definitely call Sonic Forces a bad game in the sense that it's not a good one, even if the game is not Sonic '06 levels.

Also he's mostly referring to Youtube people who make reaction videos over Sonic Forces being shit despite being not so shit but still bad.

No. After the relatively long hiatus the series took after Lost World, people had much higher expectations for Forces, and it's ridiculous that Sonic Team seemingly ignored the progressive steps they made in Unleashed/Colors/etc for a character creator.

It wasn't. Forces is boring and mediocre, in Sonic 06 was Big Rigs level of broken. You would fall of levels for doing nothing, get bugged in walls after running crazy fast for no apparent reason and it was badly optimized too.

Sonic Forces isn't a great game by any means, but I firmly believe that the review scores are only as low as they are because people had decided it was bad before they played it , and also wanted it to fail in order to put Mania/2D Sonic on a pedestal.
