I prefer 3x 16:9s

The only thing it does better is providing a cinematic view for films, but even then they still look better on an HDTV.

I have two 21:9 monitors and a 4K.

I'm lazy and have four regular monitors and rearranging them seems like a pain in the ass

Because I have a 4k 42" monitor.

Because there weren't any with gsync and 144Hz when I was last shopping for a monitor. Maybe next time.

Sorry but no. Not at all. For most games it's not supported. Emulation? you must love putting those on the side unless you enjoy having a fuckton of wasted space. Some current games don't support it or have UI elements cut off. It's a pain in the ass to play Dragon's Dogma or Deus Ex: MD because of how wonky it is. Multiplayer shooters? Shit everything up by zooming in and cutting part of the screen, "we don't want cheaters".

120hz is at least better. Playing a 60fps limited game on a 120hz monitor is never as bad as playing a 16:9 limited game on a 21:9 monitor.
