Is anyone here a wagecuck? How do you have time and energy for videogames?
>Just did my first day at work 9-6 >Commute takes an hour at least each way assuming no traffic >Barely have time to play videogames once I get back home, assuming I workout, shower, eat, and sleep in an extremely timely manner
Please tell me it gets better. What's the point of money if you're wasting your early 20's being exhausted and then spending whatever money you earn on temporary things like drugs/alcohol/fastfood/clothing just to keep you from going crazy
If you're dissatisfied with your job spend your free time finding a better one.
Logan Thomas
>working part-time >84 hours/month >enough money to pay rent, buy food, buy lots of games and other stupid shit >15 minute walk to work
I'd never work full-time though. I don't care about the money I'm missing out on.
Jaxson Richardson
You can get by with very little if you don't have fuck toy and fuck trophies to take care of.
Lucas Ross
how do you support yourself part-time wagecucking?
Jacob Garcia
For the past two years, my typical work week has me out of the house for 65 hours. It took me several months to complete an RPG with 85 hours logged on play time, because I only could get one day per week to really sink time into it.
The key is arcade styled games. Games with a story just feels like another obligation. You need to play stuff that you can put an hour into it and be done.
Owen Walker
Geriatric nurse. At most 7 hour shifts, so I still got most of the day to be a lazy piece of shit. The job itself isn't great, but the shifts and pay are good.
Adrian Long
The point is that the job is supposed to replace the role of the videogames in your day to day. Instead of trudging through 9 hours a day, find something you don't mind doing and work towards getting a better job, like that other user said.
Aaron Barnes
Not a lot, but i find the work fulfilling enough for it to not be that big an issue. Obviously i wish i could NEET it up forever, but reality is reality.
Alexander Wright
>tfw wagecuck at a retirement home working 9-5, job isn't hard at all >do nothing but play games, work, workout and watch anime/youtube >just spend money on rent, meals, and various jap shit figures >still have time to myself for Sup Forums and above Feels good.
Christopher Price
I work unsupervised nightshift and I'm burning through my Vita and 3DS log.
Jordan Garcia
Stocks, nigga. Work for a year and save money, invest in stocks and change to a part time, and eventually you'll be making enough money from dividends to free market neet lyfe.
Ethan Robinson
Start playing more portable games. If you don't, your game time will be cut even further. First thing I did with my first paycheck was getting a new 3DS since my old one was breaking.
Try and play as much console/PC games as you feel you naturally want to for the first weeks - get used to your new schedule, and if after a month you're not playing as much as you'd like, use specific games or new releases to get back into the habit.
I started work three months ago and used to always play Overwatch on PC plus a ton of stuff on my PS4 when I was NEET. Now I work 5 days a week, some of which are weekends and since starting work I almost never use my PS4 despite using it constantly before, and now use my Vita and 3DS a lot more.
I've recently bought the new Taiko to try and get myself back to using my PS4 though, and have started getting back into Overwatch.
Caleb Wood
>work in retail selling bins and shelves >no talent or social skills >boss still gives me 40 hours a week >sleep 4 hours a night, base my entire schedule around talking to americans on the inernet late at night its a comfy hell
Kevin White
How long have you been doing that? I did about a year on 3 hours of sleep per night with only every other weekend off. I was fucked up for the next few years.
Levi Anderson
no you don't have enough time. Sup Forums is full of NEETs living in their moms basement or whatever paid by society money they can afford to play vidya all day.
Blake Baker
>Start playing more portable games. The point is to make gaming more enjoyable, not to cram video games into every waking moment of life, no matter how shitty they are.
Bentley Parker
about 2 years ive trashed my physical health doing it too but im clingy and the person i want to hang out with is only on around 1-4am my time
Camden Allen
>Overwatch It's a good thing you don't have time to play that pile of dogshit anymore
Asher Torres
You're dead.
Isaac Thompson
9 hours a day is hell
what has humanity done wrong that we must be in this torture
im trying to break free by investing what little i make into an ebay and amazon store
maybe some day i can break free from this curse
Luke Ortiz
>Geriatric nurse >TFW I'm a part time job wage cuck at a minimum wage job I'm assuming being a registered nurse pays slightly better than minimum wage.
Either work a minimum wage job part time where you get tipped out the ass (like I do, sometimes double my daily wage) or a good part time job, flagging pays really well and even a retard can do it, just have to be able to stand on your feet for that long (which I can't be wise I have fucked feet). As long as you don't have another mouth to feed or attempting outside your means living on a part time jobs not that hard.
Also this guy's a faggot.

Currently making overpriced coffee drinks at a retail store. Should I go full food service (Taco Bell) with the holidays coming up?
Jacob Davis
Yeah man, it's easy during the holidays, especially if you get on at a place hiring temp holiday work.
Gabriel Bailey
field i'm in has me making most of my money during the last quarter of the year, that's really the only time i work 55+ hrs a week and feel like death.
just find a field that doesn't have you grinding your dick off all year and actually gives you a decent work/life balance
i definitely dont' game as much as i used to these days, but that's because i think i'm actually becoming an adult
Kevin Price
this is the problem with capitalism -- we cannot be 9-5 slaves forever, we need to kill the 1% and divide their wealth
Asher Young
Not only this is it, these are the best years of your life. Things will only get worse as you age and your health deteriorates.
Ethan Sullivan
I started a youtube channel so i just record when I play. The ad money justifies the time spent gaming. Pays for itself when I relax.
Aaron Baker
Do you get tips at the retail store? Why the fuck would you go fast food aka no tips?
Nathan Rivera
why
Gabriel Murphy
>work about 40 hours a week from 9 to 6 >job involves maintenance work as well as retail so on my feet and lifting all day >come home dead ass tired with no desire to play my games on a shitty Emerson TV >Have had more fun hanging out at bars after work with co-workers than playing vidya I like what I do and love my co workers and boss, but I feel like I can't do anything when I'm done. I took my PS4 to a friend's last Saturday and I still haven't unpacked it and hooked it back up. The last game I remember playing was Ori about 2 days ago. I think I need to get back on an exercise program and drink more water
Eli Rivera

Dominic Baker
I'd rather work and have no time for vidya than be a NEET and have all the time for vidya. If I don't work for any reason play vidya, I feel like a piece of shit for wasting my life. Right now got several part-time jobs that pay well and don't demand all my time, so I get the best of both worlds.
Lucas Evans
this is what i love
Luis Jenkins
>tfw getting closer and closer to becoming a wageslave I'm gonna kill my fuckign self I don't want to work fuck
Isaac Smith
About 20 burgers a week and free drinks. I hate my supervisor, though. She schedules me for the busiest shifts, which actually wouldn't be that bad if not for the holiday sales.
Zachary Barnes
>Study around 4-6 hours a day >Have a part time job 25 hours a week >Always feel tired to play vidya Moving out was a mistake. I should've just taken community college near my home instead of going to some overrated university with the most SJWs in one place.
Colton Howard

I'm really glad that Japan is one of the forerunners for autism awareness.
Ian Roberts
What games are other wagies playing? Been playing Darkest Dungeon when i get home for a few hours until I go to sleep.
Jordan Sanders
It's all about schedule, really. Depends on your job, but if you can get a good schedule everything's a million times better. I work three 12 hour shifts, 6-6, on Sat/Sun/Mon. I'm dog fuckin tired on the end of Monday, but then I have four full days to do whatever.
Also, fuck sleeping in, it's overrated for working. Going in at 9 is hilariously late, even at 8 hours you won't leave till 5, and traffic is always the worst. I used to do 6-2, Mon-Fri, that wasn't bad either, just can't stay up till 3am.
Liam Martinez
You don't get tips? Holy shit you poor child, switch jobs to anything where you receive tips dipshit you could be making double or triple your wage a day easy, especially if you have barrista experience. The only people who should be working minimum wage no tip jobs should be felons, 3rd worlders or literally retards.
Hudson Cox
Horizon Zero Dawn and Persona 5 for comfy, Team Fortress 2 for mindless nostalgia bloodfests.

I play Downwell or Spelunky because it's one of the only games I can just play for an hour or two and still have fun, then go to sleep. Can't play RPGs unless I have a month long vacation
Parker Peterson
wagecuck here, gaming as a wagecuck is just exhausting. I play like 1 hour before going to work. I have a ton of games I buy and never even touch.
>I have a ton of games I buy and never even touch. Why waste money then? You're off buying things that you can actually use then
Jonathan Campbell
you can always buy hardware you'll never use or animu figures where you just stare at it all day. for gaming i just pirate everything these days since its easier for me to quit without feeling buyers remorse.
Luke Morales
>Do good in school >Get shitty job >Use money to go on for advanced degree >Go to Grad School+ to get good job you enjoy >Only buy games you actually want, instead of every AAA cumblast with a 80+ metacritic >enjoy life
Jacob Roberts
>work as close to home as possible, I have a 15 minute walk, and can do my groceries on the way >eat at work during work hours, eat breakfast there, if you have the canteen eat the lunch there and take an extra soup/whatever in a go-to package, reheat it 30 minutes before end of the job and eat it, that way I don't cook at home at all, a sandwich or two will carry me till the bedtime >make sure you don't lose time in the mornings, no browsing web on your phone and shit, glass of water, maybe a banana or something, quick wash and off you go
Parker Jenkins
>$20 in tips a week >A week Jesus fuck.
David Williams
Yeah, they're split between the workers evenly - not based on hours worked.
Bentley Cox
>earn the money to actually buy games >still pirate to avoid buyers remorse from quitting a bought game
any excuse, huh pirateboy? ;v
Nolan Barnes
i wish we could be in the situation where we didnt have to min/max time. it just feels more free to eat whenever you want to eat and shitpost whenever you want.
could be worse. you could be working in some asian restaurant where the boss steals all the tips and no one is brave eough to call it out.
Jackson Johnson
Switch jobs. 10-20 is a bad day on tips. Fuck at my last job I was averaging $40 a day split between five fucking people at a god damn corn dog place.

Still though, it's a good feeling to live on my own when every single one of my friends still lives with their parents.
Landon Bennett

Do yourself a favour and try your damnedest to either get into a managerial role or something that is not as physically demanding, warehouse grunt work will decimate your body in the long run.
Owen Lewis
Luckily I've got a lot of specialty training, so I spend a lot of time on a standup forklift (every other day)
During the slow season I go to community college for an industrial machine mechanic degree (paid for out of pocket, no loans.) I'm hoping to one day bid into the mechanic department.
Hudson Reyes

I work from 9 to 6 too, one hour comute (walking, I don't exercise more than that), still live my parents, I give some money to them, save some and spend the rest on whatever the fuck I want, since I don't have to worry about anything else (yet) I manage to play 5 to 6 hours a day.
Sebastian Gonzalez
why devote so much time to working out if you never leave the house?
Jonathan Evans
is autismbux real? how can I get that in canada
Daniel Ross
i dont fucking understand people who choose to work downtown or in bad driving areas and bitch about commutes

I'm a leaf as well. Technically its not autismbux but its ODSP, i can get it because i have a disability that isn't ever going to get better. I think the program might be getting easier to get into lately? Don't know, might want to look into it.
