Honestly I'm not a big fan of cod. I like here in there but I was more into it in the cod4-BO1 days. after that it went downhill. I had fun with Black ops 3, had a decent KD of 2.20ish a good score per minute but this game. OMG this game >Get shot no matter where I go >Shoot first, Die >Maps are by far the worst in any cod game >Rips off bf game mode style >Rips of the tower in Destiny >Weapon sway is insane. >Aim is fucked >Snipers are OP >Everyone is a sweaty MLG pro >Where the fuck are the casual fags? >Lag is insane >Get shot around corners >Bullets don't register when I watch killcam >My KD is 0.75 LOL am I just bad? I don't understand why I went out of my way and bought this shit for 79.99 (yes I'm canadian}. I thought it would be decent at the very least. Anyone else having trouble performing?
>buying a game with microtransactions Fuck off back to
Jayden Adams
every title is the same, nobody to blame but your own dumb ass. i'll be here enjoying zombies mode only.
Adam Stewart
A fucking railshooting section within the first fucking minutes
Asher Scott
forgot to add I pirated the game so I don't really care in the end
Isaac Reed
Rented it from redbox. Played first mission to see dday lvl. Then I returned it, I just felt like I saw all I needed to to know I didn't want to continue playing
Connor Baker
>Germans carrying SVT-40's & PPSH's
Jaxson Hill
modern AAA gaming need to stay the fuck away from the World War settings
those corporate drones are too balls deep in mediocrity to do such settings accurately

>tfw WAW was the last somewhat authentic triple A World War game
really makes you wonder
Easton Flores
It's a shame because WWI as a setting has such potential in a big budget game but all we'd get these days is some stupid fucking CoD reskin with absolutely no respect for historical accuracy
Lincoln Rivera
I wholeheartedly agree senpai
Ryder Sanchez
i feel you both i'm kinda scared of what gaming will become in the next few years
Alexander King
Are any CoD campaigns past Black Ops 1 worth pirating for? Haven't played since then.
Cameron White
>Playing Call of Duty in multiplayer mode >Playing anything other than the campaign mode exclusively >Persisting with Call of Duty after WaW was released
Lmao what a fucking moron.
Here is how you should have played them
>CoD and recognize the masterpiece that it was 9/10 >CoD 2 and marvel at the greatest game in the series and arguably one of the greatest FPS of all time alongside Perfect Dark, Timesplitters 2 and of course Goldeneye 10/10 >CoD 3 enjoy as a decent 7/10 game but nothing really new >CoD 4 MW - Back to their best, an enjoyable 9/10 game >CoD WAW - this is where it all went downhill, they were just cashing in at this point and the game was all about perks, online, killstreaks and other mind-numbing shit to amuse 12 year old faggots with no friends. The start of 'zombies' mode need I say any fucking more? 6/10 >MW2 - Too short but almost a return to form 7.5/10 >The rest - Not even going to comment. Utter shit. This was the end for the franchise as a serious game series. 0/10
Christian Williams
I mean don't get me wrong, there are some great realistic/authentic World War games coming out from smaller companies (e.g Day of Infamy, Red Orchestra) but I feel as though the days of authentic large budget war games is getting destroyed by the profit which is to be made off of micro transactions (and these micro transactions in turn usually mean awful skins, stupid gun customization, etc).
Adam Ward
yes who the hell would want a "OMG SUPER RAD THOMPSON FIRE DRAGON THINGAMAJIG (ULTRA FUCKIN' RARE)" in a world war game
Chase Torres
The microtransaction aspect is the thing that annoys me the most about CoD. Its a yearly series, you already have to fork over $60 for a new game because all the players will jump ship to the new game, on top of another $60ish for the DLC that segments players, but microtransactions on top of that. Its a tough pill to swallow.
Landon Kelly
The same people that say there's no problem with it because "COD was never realistic", yet completely disregard how absurd it's becoming (and also not realizing the difference between realism and just crafting an immersive setting)
I mean fuck, video games are art. Why can't they be treated like it by the big dogs. No one wants to play LA Noire driving around in a 2017 Ferrari because it completely suspends your belief in the setting, yet rainbow colored Thompson being wielded by black Germans is cool. Boggles my noggin t bh
John Davis
>No one wants to play LA Noire driving around in a 2017 Ferrari because it completely suspends your belief in the setting forgive me for being retarded, but is that actually true in the new LA Noire port? and yeah, black germans and skinned thompsons don't go well this just gives me internal pain
Adrian Turner
>Getting the newest CoD when WaW is the best WW2 CoD already youtube.com/watch?v=M4lB-PAj0l4 I really don't understand why anyone would want to play the newest CoD when the best WW2 CoD came out years ago.
Anthony Young
I pirated it, and the campaign is pretty fun desu. Keep in mind it's been like five years since I've played a CoD game, so I don't know how many of these ideas are re-hashed, but it was pretty varied with gameplay mechanics and shit.
Samuel Reed
>MW2 - 7.5/10 >pretends he has good taste That game belongs straight in the trash bruv
Aaron Evans
>WAW is the downfall no user you're retarded, WAW was one of the best CoD. WAW is still my favorite CoD.
Hunter Wright
There's something very wrong with the aiming and turning in this game.
In Infinite Warfare it's tight, fast and precise.
In this game it feels floaty and sluggish. It's really off-putting. Is it some sort of movement-acceleration? Can it be disabled?
Jace Wood
>get shot no matter where I go >shoot first, die >aim is fucked >get shot around corners >bullets don't register on killcam
So essentially 25% of the reason you hate this game is because you suck at it? Would you have even posted a thread if your KD was above 1? Fukkin git gud, kiddo.
Bonus points: >snipers are OP Snipers are literally the cancer of FPS games, your complaint is nothing new and you need to go back to 2002 where you belong.
Double bonus points: >where the fuck are all the casual fags? If you're complaining that there aren't enough casuals in the game you're playing, you are the casual fag, fucko
Tl;dr neck yourself for getting so irretrievably assblasted about a game when it's your own fault for not having fun because you suck at it.
Robert Parker
Do people still play WaW on PC?
Luke Smith
This nigger gets it.
Zachary Turner
On modded servers only, but there's still a community that keeps it alive.
Wyatt Smith
I do occasionally. Always find at least a couple populated servers
Hudson Wilson
> Snipers are the cancer of FPS games
Yeah but usually for the reason that they are able to sit back and pick people off relatively easily. COD snipers are more effective close range than shotguns for fucks sake
Aiden Hill
turn mouse acceleration off and enable raw input this is basic shit for any fps game
Levi Thompson
I'm talking about controller pham
Noah Miller
>CoD 2 and marvel at the greatest game in the series and arguably one of the greatest FPS of all time
THIS
this is what CoD should be all about
the mission starts with actual real life footage of WW2 for added realism and to make you feel that you are actually living during the war. you then review field notes on the mission ahead and perhaps read a soldiers personal diary ("it's cold and we're all tired but the sergeant says we have to keep going" etc.) sets the scene.
then you start controlling your character, you and a small squad of say 5-6 are in some random location in the middle of nowhere, your commanding officer briefs you on what is happening (again historically accurate). you then make your way over to some quaint picturesque French town to investigate with your band of brothers. clearing out the occasional house of nazis as you pass through.
that's REAL call of duty, not this headless chicken sprinting around at 100mph, fucking machine guns spraying round after round all over the place with less than 1% hitting their target. it seems every mission is an all out guns blazing, explosions left, right and centre catastrophe
in CoD you should be scared to even edge out from behind your cover. most of your time should be spent behind an object watching and listening to your squad, judging when the enemy is going to reload and then being quick and effective in your counter punch. it's tactical, it's about being patient. it's about spotting the enemy before they have a chance to see you and taking out 2-3 of them before they even know you're there
Hunter Myers
>hoped BF1 would be a comfy trench warfare shooter >its just everyone running around like autist with smg
Julian Evans
i didn't like it that much
by today's standards it's great but when it came after CoD 1,2 and 4(MW) it was a bit of a let down. i've not played any of them in a while but that's how i remember it
Elijah Richardson
You get it
Michael Cook
>Get shot no matter where I go >Shoot first, Die Git gud. >Maps are by far the worst in any cod game Wrong, the best maps this series has had in a while. Simple 3 or 4 lane maps are always the best in terms of gameplay (see CoD4). >Rips off bf game mode style The war gamemode has been around since WaW, maybe earlier can't remember. >Snipers are OP You try and do well with a sniper. Snipers have a high skill ceiling and this time around they didn't get nerfed to shit. The reason they seem OP is because there isn't any jetpack fuckery so snipers only have to aim horizontally instead of having to look everywhere all the time. >Everyone is a sweaty MLG pro This is your first time getting CoD on pc, huh? Everybody is a sweaty pubstomper on PC which kinda sucks. >Where the fuck are the casual fags? Console >Lag is insane >Get shot around corners Netcode always has problems, they'll prob be patched
Tyler Peterson
>Playing online multiplayer
Retards.
Jackson Allen
>Playing games
Mongoloids.
Colton James
By all means, OP, check out shooters from smaller dev teams. I've had hundreds of hours of fun with Day of Infamy and RS2 Vietnam over the past year or so they've been out. Both have small playerbases, but I've never struggled to find a near full lobby to join and that just helps keep the cancerous fanbase to a minimum. If you're looking for worthwhile shooters that don't cater to the dudebro GOTTA GO FAST AT ALL TIMES audience, don't touch AAA.
Leo Russell
>it's about spotting the enemy before they have a chance to see you and taking out 2-3 of them before they even know you're there
this is the most satisfying element of this, or any shooting/combat game IMO
it's when you get the jump on your enemy and get a few easy kills in before they are alerted to your presence and start firing on you
>watch their movements >learn the pattern >wait until 2-3 of them are standing in the same area >can see another 2 of them in your peripheral vision >grenade thrown towards the 3 >rifle out immediately to take out the other 2
nothing beats that feeling 5 kills in 5 seconds because of your smart planning
pretty much every CoD game i've played since the classics seems to throw you into a battle situation without any choice as to how you approach it, just becomes boring doing the same thing over and over again
