what the fuck am I supposed to even be looking for here
Mario odyssey

you have to get it to look exactly like that and then ground pound
top hat on a penis
obviously
Bonneton kingdom.
Also learned that you have to hold y to get moons out of stubborn spokes. I always shook the joycon. Wii days.
I thought this was the perfect level of hint complexity, it wasn't like the Poochie ones which were just "Go here" but was clever enough to not warrant looking it up.
I wish the hint art system was given a little more depth.
It's still not as bad as fucking "KEEP"
I like that most of the not-poochie ones were clever
The lost kingdom one was fun to figure out, so was the koopa one in the desert once i noticed the compass
what the fuck
how are you supposed to figure this shit out on your own
By not being a brainlet
It's exactly like the bonneton tower which is unique, and there's only one spot where you can align the huge ass obvous yellow moon like the art so it's pretty easy
...
Yeah my only issue is I had trouble thinking of it in the sense of "where the moon is behind the tower" instead of just "something having to do with the tower."
Felt very smart when I figured it out even though you'd have to be an idiot not to get it.
is there any sort of mental disorder I can blame this on so I don't have to admit I'm fucking stupid
Some are hard but you have to be a literal brainlet if you couldnt figure this one out, its one of the easiest
Can anyone help me with this one? Its one of the post-game dark side ones and I have no idea what Im supposed to do or go.
How are you supposed to know to groundpound
>so was the koopa one in the desert once i noticed the compass
Holy FUCK
>think at first that it was relative to the direction the koopa is facing by default
>that actually leads to a bush
>fucking nothing
>search all bushes in the general vicinity
>notice that the compass direction is the key and the koopa's direction was meaningless
Mamma fucking mia.
They're each representing the four corners of the map, the pillars you want to ground pound are in the corner West of Talkatoo
Those parasols and columns are only found in Seaside.
I mean East not West
I can personally guarantee that everyone bragging about getting that moon right away got stuck on the constellation shrine in BotW.
thats how you get all the art moons im pretty sure
I must admit this is the case. I just had no idea I was even being presented with a puzzle, the way the dialog was written made it sound like I had to look at the sky box
I'm at a loss on this one.
*blocks your path*
What the hell kind of word is < =| =| i?
God if only there was a fucking kingdom with hats everywhere and a giant fucking yellow moon.
How do people struggle with this one?
FUCK YOU I THOUGHT IT WAS TELLING ME WHERE PEACH WAS AT FIRST
IT'S NOT EASY ALL THE OTHER HINTS JUST TELL YOU SOMEWHERE TO GO HOW WAS I SUPPOSED TO REALIZE YOU ACTUALLY HAD TO LINE UP THE STUPID FUCKING TOWER EXACTLY IN THAT WAY
I had to look this one up, it's the spray painted "KEEP CLEAR" or whatever on the street in NDC
Is this real?
Woah, I didn't realize it was representing the four corners of the level. Luckily, you can still find it by just going around to every pair of pillars in the level pretty easily/quickly.
He probably just meant weast.
...
thats literally the easiest one. theres only one level with road/street signs. lol
how did this stump people? how can you not think of New Donk City when the clue is stenciled street signs? are people literally this retarded?
No, you're just fucking retarded.
Buckley did it again!
This and the one with with all the peoples' outfits on the Moon were the only ones that stumped me. I thought KEEP had something to do with the eventual Bowser level, but then it didn't look like a keep at all, so I had absolutely no idea.
The hint looks like it's trying to get you to look at the black parts instead of the word. Or to think of the general idea of a "Keep". That's what I assumed, anyway.
Never really looked down at the ground.
>Figure out the difference immediately as it is extremely obvious
>Ground pound the extra bone
>Nothing
>Possess a T-Rex, break the extra bone and ground pound the shit out of the area that was underneath it
>Still nothing
>Completely lost
>Look online
>"Ground pound the blue patch of flowers beside the extra bone"
I'm still mad.
I figured the extra bone wasn't actually there, so I did a ground pound where the bone would have been.
But weren't there 6 bones in the real version? If there were 5 and the left picture is the real one then I'm an idiot but otherwise that makes no sense.
No. You can blame the game requiring pinpoint accuracy on ground pounds, though. I missed a few moons because I thought I had them figured out, but I missed the spot by nothing and thought perhaps I had to do something else
Stop watching anime and your IQ will increase.
This one was fucking stupid, whats with all the arrows and the other crap on there, could have just been the pillars and nothing else.
...
When did the game ever tell you to ground pound in relation to these hints? Is that some ddialogue box I missed somewhere?
It's the back of Moominpappa's head
Have you never not ground pounded to find hidden stars or coins or hearts?
The Poochy sniffing the glowing ground ones make it fairly obvious
>hmm this looks like the spot, maybe i should try something
>nah theres no hints showing up
by doing literally any other hint moon
it's a spot the difference so you ground pound the difference
This is literally the easiest one.
How the fuck do you beat the Gold Koopa in tophat world?
Yeah, when the controller vibrates, which the game did tell me about.
What Poochy? I just beat Bowser and have been exploring around Mushroom Kingdom so far.
Also, It's pretty dumb how they locked so much behind beating the story. Just let me do everything if I want to.
go faster than him
use the paragoomba
learn to triple jump and learn to throw your hat, dive onto it, and dive again
>abloobloobloo why is there post game content
same nigger that would whine if there wasnt any
I've tried that but the first ledge he is able to long jump on I keep failing. On the odd chance I do manage it I can't instantly go into a roll like he does when he lands.
How the hell do I dive again after I've dived the first time after throwing my hat?
Nice assumption there. Postgame is fine, but why is there a bunch of shit locked away in worlds before the Bowser fight? Later worlds are great, it's just the obligatory returning to boring shit like the lake world that irks me.
the same way you dive normally
if you want the entire sequence typed out for you:
>jump -> throw hat -> dive -> land on hat -> throw hat -> dive again
note: you do not have to hold down the throw button to keep cappy out, there's a short window of time where he'll just spin in place without any input
>when literal baby games are too intelligent for you
maybe you need to align a hat with the moon or someshit like that
for the record, the second hat throw is optional
i do it out of habit, you can't do the dive move more than twice
>postgame is fine, but postgame is also not fine.
to transition into a roll from long jump just hold down ZL or ZR, you can't ground pound in a long jump and when you hit the ground start shaking like a madman
>Old levels are postgame
Yeah I'm a fucking idiot and thought there was an extra one in the real cascade kingdom while actually there was a missing one.
>tfw too dumb to tell the difference between 5 and 6
It makes me feel a little better that the guy I learned the answer from made the same mistake since he was like "for some reason it's the blue spot beside the bone and not the bone".
WHAT THE FUCK
I thought this was just a hint saying that Peach had disappeared to the hat kingdom. How the FUCK are you supposed to know this is a clue for a power moon?
new moons are postgame
from seeing all the other hint art in the game probably
I've just gave it a few tries and the second Mario dives for his cap in mid-air he doesn't jump on it giving me another chance to throw and dive in mid-air.
you mean the second time as in you're trying to jump off your hat more than once? you can't do that
unless you mean the second as in time, in which case you just have to do it faster so cappy doesn't move
I meant as in the first time you do it. I see Mario diving for the hat after throwing it in the air and he doesn't jump off from it. It only started working when I hold the throw button and I wait near a split second then diving for it.
This one and Poochie in the Ruined Kingdom one I had to look up (I actually found the Poochie one, but couldn't ground pound the right patch of dirt). The Keep one felt like bullshit because I focused on the Beneath the Keep Area in Bowser's Kingdom.
Hardest moon for me was finding Captain Toad in Sand Kingdom.. holy shit that took me ages. and it was my last moon for that area.
>have two moons in an area left
>buy a hint from toad
>he sends you to the fucking art that you were planning to get later
FUCKING NINTENDO GIVE ME A FUCKING REFUND
Constellation shrine was piss easy. Hint art is fairly obvious because of the moon in the background.
I didn't realize that it wanted me to ground pound where the missing bone was since I hadn't done any of the other Hint Art moons, so I kept trying to throw Cappy at the "invisible" bone to get him to spin on it or something. When that didn't work I just gave up.
thats because dialogue boxes are for chumps, i skip that shit like the chad that i am
Well if all else fails you can literally be told the title of it.
>Found with hat kingdom hint art
No wonder video games are in the shitter. Literal pictures and people can't figure out you need to ground pound or that these represent ways to find moons.
If it wasn't for someone telling me how to get that one, I probably wouldn't be able to find it. That's a clever one.
Most of the hints looked straight forward, but this and the grid one get me. Can anyone spoil what Kingdom the grid one is supposed to be in?
the one with the purple coins?
mushroom kingdom
Ah, thanks user.
Oh, oh! I think I got it now. I have an idea at least. These moons are pretty clever, they force you to get creative while exploring.
I thought they were supposed to be vertically oriented blocks instead of text on the floor.
I was always panning the camera above the ground is what I'm sayin.
I guess I'm retarded because I didn't know what the hint art concept was even alluding to.
Roll around at the speed of sound
>anime faggots are retarded
shocking
By not being a fucking retard. Are you people 12 years old?
left is the real one
you're an idiot
>go through the game wishing it was a little harder
>get to something that takes a modicum of challenge and I start raging, almost to the point of screaming
what's wrong with me
Fucking faggit i just realized what you did
Which part? I only got mad at capless Invisible Road.
Wow, this game is difficult enough to last a five year old at least a couple of years unless he's a faggot and looks up shit online.
that fucking 8-bit challenge in mushroom kingdom
How do I break this block? None of the bullet bills can seem to make it over here.
Its one of the moon cube moons, by the way.
Get as close as you can, capture a bullet bill and shake the joy cons like you're masturbating.
Start on the tilted column you can see in your screenshot, and waggle like a madman.
>He doesn't have even one amiibo (literally any one will work) for getting free hints
idk if it's the "real" way, but i guided a bullet bill past the ledge for a bit, threw my hat up and captured it, then just barely made it to the block in time
