-ng it.50k owners in the first week is fucking garbage tier sale numbers.
shittiest port of the year
50k in the past 3 days for a niche title that arrived 9 months later. Try living in reality, these are astonishingly tremendous sales numbers.
name 1 way that the port doesn't work
It's definitely better than the PS4 version.
how so?
NOOOOOOO
No but seriously, Steamspy isn't accurate for two weeks. It'll definitely clear 100k.
>a really shitty port of an incredibly niche console action about samurais nobody on pc has heard of that came out 9 months ago
those are great numbers actually
That's not saying much.
How do you figure? PS4 version still runs at 60fps, and it doesn't crash out the ass.
>crash out the ass
works on my machine :^)
PC can do higher resolution, 60 fps with better graphics, and mine doesn't crash. I'll bet it loads way faster, too. also has the ability to use any controller you want with the right drivers.
>with better graphics
Somebody post it.
50k for pc,
not bad.
? PS4 has to enable action mode for 60 fps, reducing the visual fidelity. PC doesn't.
Team Ninja's output is more on the mainstream end of nerdshit. Nioh sold a million copies in 2 weeks after releasing (Making it the highest selling KT game since the merger and TN's most successful game since NG '04) with Sony honestly pretty half-assedly marketing it, so it's not really some obscure diamond or anything.
50k is fucking terrible.
Are we being serious right now?
that's only because no games come out for ps4 or consoles in general.
That's pretty shit. It even only sold 8k on day 1, is this supposed to be impressive? niche weebshit anime garbage sells more than this. Hell, Cuphead sold around 400k+ in a week.
Not to be THAT guy but Mario sold 2 million in 3 days so...
ITB(oard): idiot children don't understand the sales numbers Japanese companies expect
>50k in 5 days
>not fucking abysmal
Really OP?
Please don't reply if you don't understand how SteamSpy works, thanks.
50K sales at 50 USD at piece is 2,5 million dollars.
Thats probably a lot of money for such a halfassed port that received little marketing.
Also it's PC so it's gonna keep generating revenue in the future.
>50K sales at 50 USD at piece is 2,5 million dollars
Come on dude.
Because I can get smooth 1440p/60 and my Pro only does variable 1080p/60.
How old are you?
Old enough to know that 2,5 million minus 30% Steam takes is more than enough to pay the fuckers in India who made the port.
Oh my god
I know exactly how steamspy works, you fucking idiot. The website even says that it's data is accurate. What idiots like you seem to think is that the website somehow doesn't have accurate numbers on ownership (it does and the website itself even says it does). When it mentions not being accurate it's talking about how recently released games that just came out won't have flatlined/stabilized sales yet and they can go up or down (depending on refunds) and that specific data, such as data based on region, play time, followers, youtube stats, etc) aren't completely accurate until a certain amount of time passes. It's not as if the website isn't usable or has no data until 1 months time passes. Don't reply to me again you dumb nigger. Go read the 'about' page on steamspy before throwing shit at people.
>zero marketing
>delayed port
>no japanese boost
You have to be over the age of 18 to post on Sup Forums.
>not bad.
Yeah, it's really bad.
>gets btfo
>doubles down on autism
>kid who is probably 15 calling anyone else underaged
Pathetic.
A-Atleast I can 1080p/60FPS it... working well on my machine.... better than PS4........
please give us games
>Nioh isn't recently released
>sperging out when you're caught not understanding basic reading comprehension
Underages get banned on Sup Forums.
People really want to defend this game.
>reading comprehension defunct idiot didn't actually read my post or the disclaimer portion of steamspy
Color me surprised.
He's not wrong you retards, modern ports costs extremely little due to sharing the x86 architecture.
Granted, they could have earned a lot more money with a less half assed port, but its not money losing by any means. A lot of Jap companies are super conservative and dipping their toes on PC, in the future they would be a lot more committed to PC, seeing how well games like Nier Automata sold.
Name 1 way that Nioh isn't recently released
Steamspy numbers aren't accurate till at least a week passes.
This is a bait thread.
Yeah yeah, muh platform wars.
I'm actually happy enough to finally play the DLC. Big sword is pretty fun and I can enjoy the visuals better at a higher res.
>they could have earned a lot more money with a less half assed port
No they couldn't. There's only 500-1500 really loud autists that scream about mouse controls that they'd never use anyways.
I never said it wasn't, maybe you should actually read my post and the website disclaimer for once.
It's been 6 days already. The game was available for download at midnight on the 6th, it's the 11th right now.
??
Tortanic should have never been a thing.
The sale numbers aren't accurate, it easily sold over 100k, this source is shit
The port is great too, so what if the camera doesn't work, the controls are trash and it crashes every 10 minutes, not to mention it runs worse than the PS4 Pro? Atleast we can play it on our PCs, if you find the right crack for the game
it didn't need a crack because there's no DRM
So can pirates play on the legit servers?
Played for two hours today, locked 1440p max details, looks much better than on my PS4. No crashes either.
No.
>ignoring the part where it's talking about page data as a whole and not specifically ownership
>also ignoring the part where it says that the website constantly pulls data to stay up to date on a daily basis (if you're actually curious about what time it updates, it's around 7 pm EST)
>ignoring the part where it says that individual apps/games is somewhat reliable after 3 days time passes
Go be retarded somewhere else.
>please give us games
and what games you have left? bloodborn?
Good.
Let's just hope Koei learned their lesson.
>Nioh is recently released
>SteamSpy is completely unreliable for recently released games
>Therefore, SteamSpy is reliable data right now
huh?
the lesson that PC games will buy their games? I hope they learned that too, so I can play more fun Japanese games.
Are you actually illiterate? The website says data for games is accurate for after around 3 days passes. It says it in the same god damn paragraph that I posted earlier, that you blatantly ignored to only focus on the last sentence.
>SteamSpy is completely unreliable for recently released games
>BUT MY AUTISTIC INTERPRETATION OF SOMETHING THAT COMES BEFORE THE FINAL SENTENCE THAT CLEARLY STATES THE EXACT OPPOSITE!!!!!!!
>R---REEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!
You have to be over the age of 18 to post on Sup Forums.
>1 million on PS4 first week
>only 9 months later on a BIGGER platform and it scraps a measly 50k
Dark Souls sold far more when it came to PC first time too
>The data is based on several days samples: from three days for individual apps to seven days for location-based info.
A game that just came out, as in a game that just came out lets say, 1 hour ago, 1 days ago, or two days ago, will either have no data, or not enough of it. The websites owner specifically states that by the time three days passes the data is somewhat reliable at the very least.
>YOU NEED TO WAIT AT LEAST A WEEK THE DATA ISN'T RELIABLE YOU CAN'T USE THE WEBSITE TO JUDGE
It's been six days. And what's particularly funny is how you're screeching like an autistic at me, while showing that you are obviously illiterate, but you only seem to focus your autism at me and not anyone who wants to use the website in any capacity.
its fine since most of the players pirate it anyway.
So you think today is the last day the owner count will go up even though the data isn't fully reliable yet? something you HAVE to concede with your autistic quote?
It's so much better than any Souls guys
It didn't even sell 1 million in a week. The devs said it shipped and sold 1 million combined units in a week.
>lol source: your ass no proofs
dualshockers.com
>ONLY 9 months
>ONLY
nioh did over a million sales on launch just on the ps4
haha no
Buttmad.
No you dumb ass. You're the one who makes it seem like the website can't be used yet. Not me. The data is fine after 3 days passes. The website itself even says so and your autistic obsession with the portion where it says that the data is unreliable for recently released games is ignoring that ownership isn't the only statistic on the website and that the disclaimer even states that three days is enough time.
The game was craptacular.
Digital Foundry tried to shill it as hard as possible.
>tfw it runs perfectly
>tfw nier ran perfectly too
Just upgrade your celeron + vodoo rig
I still don't understand how they bloated a PS4 game to 80gb while adding nothing substantial
but it doesn't say it's enough time because it specifically says it's no good for recently released games. Talk to me in a Month when Nioh has over 500k owners.
It isn't even better than Dark Souls 2.
>but it doesn't say it's enough time
Yes it does.
>"The data is based on several days samples: from three days for individual apps to seven days for location-based info."
I don't know why you keep ignoring this but it says so right there that three days for individual games is enough time.
>sold a million on ps4 in the same amount of time
>somehow 50k are impressive on a platform with 3 times the number of users
Well, that only shows that you can delude yourself into believing anything you want.
You're a drone.
3 days is recently released. I don't know why you keep ignoring this but it says so right there that recently released games have completely unreliable data.
So it still sold 1 million to retailers.
Judging how many retailers in week one had barely any stock they clearly sold most of the units.
google.co.uk
Nice try pcbros
>3 times the number of users
>3 times the number of PS4 owners own gaming PCs capable of playing Nioh as well as an interest in Japanese ARPG games
The website says that data for individual titles is available after three days passes. The game didn't come out yesterday. It's almost been 7 days since the game came out and the website specifically states that individual, basic, game data is available after around three days passes. KEep being retarded all you want, but this is the last (you) from me.
why would it contain a warning about recently released things, then? hm? what, is the site reliable after 3 days for games but not for applications? it makes no fucking sense. either way the number will keep rising, stay mad soyboy sonybro.
Yes thats nothing compared to GTAV waiting 2 years for a game or sonyfats waiting 1 year for tomb raider.
>this meme again
I remember this 100% at release. Everyone was basing this off of how Amazons old out of copies but what people don't like to mention is how 1) the game didn't ship millions, 2) amazon isn't the only retailer, and 3) it was only out of stock for around 30 minutes until the website said it was back in stock (i.e. it never actually sold out, they still had copies and it never sold out again). I even saw people trying to lie and say that it sold out on gamestop but it was clearly still in stock.
>hugest AAA normie titles vs Japanese ARPG for weebs about historical Japanese figures
Prove many pc users on steam have PCs not stronger than a basic PS4
>So it still sold 1 million to retailers.
No, because the shipment and sell through were 1 million combined. They shipped (to retailers) and sold (to customers) 1 million total units combined. The devs didn't ship or sell one million, it was the total figure if you combine both data points.
Your logic is the same as people that say %50 of gamers are female because of Facebook and mobile games.
>but what people don't like to mention is how 1) the game didn't ship millions, 2) amazon isn't the only retailer, and 3) it was only out of stock for around 30 minutes until the website said it was back in stock
Lol I'm supposed to believe some random anons anecdote, get out of here even in the same link mentions GAME having it out of stock and Amazon is one the largest retailers so don't even try downplay it.
Is there a fix like DaS1?
And that stock was dried up after week 1
it doesn't need one, so no.
>also implying dsfix is a fix for anything other than rendering resolution hacks
60 fps in DaS1 is bugged and fucks up the movement/parry timings.
Source: your asshole
If that was the case the devs would have updated their sales figures within later months but they never did.
so the sonygroids are still crying I see, was Nioh that important to you guys, or is this the same situation as Dark Souls
>ship 10 copies to amazon
>it "sells out"
Woah guys look at all this interest in the game!
boards.fireden.net
This was back near release. I would use wayback machine to try and prove it but it doesn't have the archive for the amazon page.
>Source: your asshole
SeeYou can pretend all you want giving me your fake anecdotes all day but shit hsd stock issues that were reported and the game remained full price for months while games like ME: I dropped only a few weeks. Koei ain't like Square giving number updates every month. They'll probably bundle the figures on 2018.
See The devs even said they didn't sell that many units out. That 1 million figure is the total number of retail shipments and sell through to customers on the entire planet.
