Finally learn her moveset through patience

>finally learn her moveset through patience
>begin to whittle her health down
>lol HEAL

Why did fromsoft do this to us?

If you beat the blood starved beast you should be having no trouble with her.

Like, I can't even accuse you of being bad because you shouldn't have gotten that far, the other bosses so far were all harder.

You did level up your shit right?

I’ve only leveled up constitution and endurance so far. I’m using the pimp cane and I have it up to +4

So, your damage is complete ass right? Prolly should level skill.

>endurance
Its pointless to level endurance for most weapons
iirc the first vit softcap is at 27, and your weapon's scaling stat has a softcap at 25
Focus on those first

Use an anti-beast weapon, like a saw. The cane is good against different types of monsters.

You are forgiven for not knowing.

I thought it was standard practice in souls games to level skills only up to the weapon requirements

git gud
or just go to other areas and come back latter

HOLY SHIT LITERALLY GET GOOD.

1. USE FIRE
2. USE THE JARS THAT PREVENT HEALING.

LITERALLY MADE AS OBVIOUS AS POSSIBLE.

DURRRRRRRRRRRR

WHEN DID YOU REALIZE THAT Sup Forums IS 100% FRONT AND ACTUALLY SUCKS AT VIDEO GAMES, JUST LIKE EVERYTHING ELSE IN LIFE?

numbing mist will interrupt her heals, but there are only a finite amount available to you at that point in the game so use them carefully.

>WHEN DID YOU REALIZE THAT Sup Forums IS 100% FRONT AND ACTUALLY SUCKS AT VIDEO GAMES, JUST LIKE EVERYTHING ELSE IN LIFE?

B-but journalists! They suck, not us!

Why would people need these? I am pretty sure I killed her with that Axe I started but upgraded a bit in my second try

That's only for INT/FAI builds or weapons with retardedly high requirements. Otherwise you gotta focus on one or two stats depending on what weapons you want to use.

The weapons have scaling that add bonus damage. Just leveling it to the requirements doesn't take advantage of the scaling, which means your DPS is far lower than what it could be. Things like quality builds have always been extremely successful in souls titles.

transformed cane is a serrated weapon, which tears through Amelia. You can even knock her out of her healing animation in like 2 hits from it. (see )

I had trouble using the threaded cane, used fire against her the second time though and it worked.

With some large bosses (most notably amelia and darkbeast) its best to pay attention to how much damage you're doing to each limb
Ideally, when she heals, you would have a limb close to breaking, so that you can interrupt it quickly
It is also ideal to be at or near full stamina when breaking the limb, so as to capitalize on the momentary stun

that's only true for certain infusions.

IIRC in Demon Souls Quality didn't scale stat levels, just upgrade levels.

Dark Souls 1 had Chaos function that way (which gave rise to the giant dad meme, as you only needed 5 points in str/dex and the rest went to end and vit)

Dark Souls 2 introduced Raw infusions, and 3 has them as well, plus fire infusions also ignore stats (but chaos doesn't)

> USE THE JARS THAT PREVENT HEALING.
Okay I beat her thanks lol

>USE THE JARS THAT PREVENT HEALING
There is no way you would even need those

I had no idea about Demon Souls quality scaling, I never owned a PS3. That's quite interesting actually, makes me want to play it some more.

it wasn't quality, it was Dragon that removed scaling

quality was equal str/dex scaling

She can heal?

Just beat the shit out of her while she's trying to heal to interrupt it and get a bunch of damage in.

Like, literally what are you doing, just standing back and letting her do it?

This is one of the easiest bosses in the whole series because of the limb breaking mechanic, use Numbing Mist if it's that much of an issue.

you sound like need to git the fuck gud
