They were talking about episodic releases, which means the releases would run well into the next generation of consoles. Maybe they'll do old and new versions, I don't know, but I sure as shit don't have faith after 15.

Hitman's failure has likely given them pause for thought on the episodic release structure. Frankly, I'd rather the game never come out at all and all resources be spent creating a new Final Fantasy game. FFXV was shit, yes, but I'd rather have something new that sucks than a remake of something that didn't suck, which has the chance of being worse than the original.

People don't really want a new version of FF7, they want a new FF that is as good or better than FF7.

I havent finished it yet, im at gongaga village and got my ass handed to me at a new boss there.

Some dialogue has been changed and some have been finally written correctly. Cant remember too many changes, its been a while since i last played it. I guess I could just walk to the village and go check out what Zacks parents have to say. Pretty sure they have extra stuff

What i understood there is a side quest in the end to revive Aeris so there is some story changes.

I sure hope so. Teenagers want FFVII to become a hack 'n slash game and are trying to ruin my childhood.

Nah. This is just Square wanting to focus the marketing on one game at a time. People thought KH3 was dead because we didn't hear shit about it for over a year while FFXV was being heavily promoted, yet here we are with new trailers and a 2018 release window. We'll probably start hearing more about VII Remake after KH3's release.
