I don't care anymore. The original team moved on to Fire Emblem and the new team literally wants to focus entirely on craft gimmicks because apparently Paper Mario is entirely about the title.

Not even that, Sticker Star & Color Splash were aborted anime licence games which are Nisekoi and Hidamari Sketch respectably, in fact this is why Chitoge is in Super Mario Maker.

The team who did those games are now reserved on Fire Emblem Hero so no more Paper Mario or any non-Fire Emblem projects from Intelligent Systems at all.

You're lucky to get Fire Emblem Puzzle League at this point.

Level structure, progression, methods of improvement and growth. It goes well beyond just battle mechanics.

It's not like 3D Mario or Zelda where the next game in the series is actually different and expands on shit or evolves. RPGs are a stale as fuck genre and you want more of them that do the same shit as games that were released twenty years ago.

I've played SMRPG. I've played PM and TTYD. I've played a few of the M&L games. I wouldn't really want more from any of those series at this point, because there's not a lot they haven't done, and there's not a lot of room for experimentation when you fags would bitch if it's not literally TTYD 1.5

Nah, I'll say it was well written game with a lot of great designs and made good use of the paper element.

Also Mario, Luigi, Bowser and Peach were all playable as a party at it was the best thing ever.

Do you really want Paper Mario to be a stale abortion of a series like Pokemon? Do you honestly think those games would be topped in the current industry? I don't think the interest or the talent is even there honestly.

Even M&L is becoming a slog at this point, and it's stayed fairly true to the same basic gameplay since inception.

The designs were my least favorite part about SPM other than the gameplay. Everything just looked really unappealing.

As I already said, if they're going to keep making Paper Mario games, I'd at least like them to make good ones. The newer PM have been bad, and that's worse than a "stale" good game to me
