Dwarf Fortress

That one game that people used to talk about
Fwarf Dortress?

Every Rhythm game. youtube.com/watch?v=umExmloLdpA&t=43s

That said the song I posted isn't even that hard compared to a lot of other IIDX charts.

I quit this game solely because of tabletfags after my friend who played with me got one. He used to be much worse than me, but pretty much as soon as he was accustomed to the tablet he would win against me 80% of the time.

It wasn't losing that bothered me, but how cheat-code-like a tablet was. When I would hang out at his place I would use his tablet and it is much easier than using a mouse.

Ive been playing osu for a while now and i still dont know how half of the gamemodes function

Only mode worth playing is the regular Osu! mode. If you want to play OsuMania just download IIDX instead.

>most songs in hard mode are too easy
>nightcore sonds like shit

How people can enjoy this high pitched shit is beyond me

You just suck, there are lots of top 1k players that use mouse, the current rank 4 player uses mouse. Also HUION 420's are literally $20 on amazon, what was stopping you from getting one?

What is considered good in Osu?

True Satanic rhythm games are games such as Pop'n music, Groove Coaster, IIDX and Taiko no Tatsujin. You can play your osu! if you want to, but you will not understand true rhythm games at all. You are just a poser and can fuck off from the scene. IIDX is button mashing game, which isn't meant for animals like you, but for true satanic misanthropes, who dont care about clowns such as you. IIDX is the game of elites and you don't understand that. No one of you understands true satanism. You are laughable little children. Our worldview is based on qpro parts, raising dan level on personal level, finding harder songs on collective level. Without understanding of keysounds and wrist scratching, you can't imagine to understand the IIDX world. No one of you can understand IIDX, because you are like worms at intellectual level. You can't reach the elitistic kaiden level, so why even dream about it. IIDX is for elite. True misanthropes.

>IIDX
Any links, my dude?

>You just suck
But when I quit I was 100%ing 7 stars and clearing 8 stars????

I'll have to find some active ones still but luckily they aren't locked behind fucking Psun and SOWS autismos anymore. The one I had got taken down but you can usually check around either /jp/ or certain other chan sites for links.

why don't you get a tablet then if you care so much?

Get an invite for sows, the public tracker that hoards the arcade data. There are other sekrit clubs but they're 8 chan tier.

Or emulate the outdated PS2 games.

>2017
>getting an invite for sows

I wish anyone luck in that endeavor. Just start posting rule 34 of Cindy from PoP'N on /jp/ and you might get lucky.

sows?
am i getting trolled?
never heard of it.

you're not getting trolled. It's le ultra sekrit rhythm game club where you can get all the downloads for rhythm games but since most of the faggots in there are either new kids from 2012-2014 or elitist faggots who have been there since the beginning it's almost impossible to get in. I finally got kicked out last year and burned most of my bridges with the people involved so I can't really help you with it.

>why quit [hacker infested game] if you can just buy hacks?
shiggy

Google bemaniso. Good luck.

why did you get kicked out?
so i can understand the level of pretentiousness of the group

...

Old School RuneScape

Don't listen to that guy. The community is autistic like the community of any niche hardcore genre but to get banned from sows you have to be a MASSIVE sperglord.

I mostly got kicked out because I wasn't uploading enough but I've gotten pretty sick of the attitude of the people there. The new kids are just meme spammers who think they're hot shit and treat other people like garbage who get in later and the old people just talk about "the good old days" while calling everyone else shit even though most of them probably haven't touched a game in months or years. This is the main problem with most Rhythm game groups though. Everything is a secret club and unless you know someone it's almost impossible to get in.

>Hit a difficulty wall at 3 stars
>Stuck like this for a year
Why am I so bad?

I have the income do you think I should go ahead and actually get FP7 EMP?
I've been wanting to get into this kind of stuff more lately

Your mistake was trying to be a part of the community.

I ignore the forums and just download the relevant data when it's freeleech.

play a variety of maps and if you don't already, go for passes instead of full combos or a combination of both rather. I played only high * maps for like a year and then proceeded to get my first >5* FC on a 6.00* map

If you 5ake the game seriously it's absolutely worth it. It's the best you could havenwithout going to an arcade and it's fun as fuck.

Remember to get omrons for the microswitches and don't fall for the sanwa meme.

Quit speaking for me you autist you're not me.

He wasn't wrong though and unless he was also there I got kicked out for the same reason. I wasn't uploading enough. I just wasn't happy with a lot of the people there either there though. Not everyone there is a giant faggot and most of the older goons, despite being VERY elitist, are pretty cool. They'll give you shit for a little while but there's no one better to talk to if you actually want to get better at playing.

Just don't ever bring up Osu!

>Can do 4 stars with mouse only
>Can't do it with keyboard + mouse

What said. ALWAYS pay for the omron switches. If you want the Konami official boards aren't terrible either if you're looking for something cheaper.

Operating your brain in a different way user. I've noticed when I use my middle finger and ring finger I'm way more accurate than if I use my index finger and middle finger. I just need to work on the speed a little more with those two fingers.

are they salty Osu! because of different ideas of philosophy?
That's the final push for me to get it now, and thank god telling me about sanwa, 88 dollars my ass, fuck that

Do people play home rhythm games like Osu really seriously? I know there are leaderboards but I only play it as a casual thing when I want to unwind and listen to some weeb music but I'm too autistic to not do something while just listening to it. I always assumed arcade rhythm games were the real hardcore ones.

No mostly because Osu! tends to draw way more degenerate people than even regular rhythm games and that's saying something. Personally I don't mind Osu! because I know a lot of people who started out playing it and then found other rhythm games and started branching out more. It's kind of like Smash is to the FGC. I don't mind smash that much because some people end up branching out but people can be really fucking annoying about it.

My start out for rhythm games was Patapon, had a blast playing it, and it's what fueled me wanting to play more of them.
Found Osu! to be alright, and now its gotten me to want to branch out as you said, but the actual beatmania is what truly appeals to me.

Casual osu! gamer hear as well. I mostly play for music and the sense of accomplishment after retrying and getting S or SS in a map.

I looked into the 'hardcore' scene, and oh boy that is a rabbit hole. It's basically a sub-culture.

Bemani games are leagues above pretty much everything else. Have fun getting into it and just remember that you will suck ass and be stuck playing 3-5s for a while before you really get better.

I remember this video is what finally got me to download and try it: youtube.com/watch?v=JPVIgshtOag

I imagine the actual hardcore community is more akin to speedrunners though.

Yeah, I've accepted that cold hard fact, and I think it's what appeals to me the most is the curve, but satisfying triumph when you do over come the obstacles.
I don't know how long the climb will take, but none the less I think I'll enjoy it.
