>DO NOT BUY THIS GAME
Nobody is forcing you to fall for microshit, faggot
Fuck EA, they got the golden turd for a reason.
>defending EA
the aboslute state of this board
I rather have pay2win lootboxes than cosmetics lootboxes that do jackshit to the quality of the game
GUESS WHAT THOUGH. EA IS STILL GONNA MAKE A TON OF MONEY OFF THIS BECAUSE IT HAS TWO WORDS SLAPPED ACROSS IT.
I wanted to believe they weren't jewing us.
I just wanted a shiny casual shooter in pretty Star Wars universe to chill out near Christmas.
You also turn into a good guy in the campaign, which was promised to be the "imperial perspective"
I already preordered the super special edition lol
nothing you can do cuck
EA has never made a bad game, opinions of contrarians on Sup Forums doesn't count. And this is Star Wars game, so fuck you, I'm gonna buy it anyway.
>Not allowed to enjoy perfectly fine game because of the publisher
Right dude? fuck
Are you literally retarded?
Cosmetic lootboxes add more quality than p2w lootboxes because they aren't essential for progress. Every type of lootbox is complete garbo at its core and games that utilize them deserve to be boycotted.
This is a robbery
Why are we pretending that if it wasn't for the loot boxes the game would be amazing?
It wouldn't be.
No droidekas. No mp vehicles. No good map design (just look at Theed). Weak classes, badly animated heroes. Gunship/LAAT is on rails.
This game would be mediocre even without the whole p2w fiasco
Yeah, this is cleary a stupid direction they took. For once i thought they were going to show the good side of the empire but i guess i forgot it was own by sjw disney
vote with your wallet, fuck ea and disney nu-sw in general
It's ea we're talking about. When the game was first announced I was like "this is too good to be true, can't wait to see how they fuck it up this time"
The game is fine in terms of gameplay mechanics, in other aspects the game is anything but fine
cosmetic lootboxes literally adds nothing to the game besides wearing a different shirt, i do agree both are cancer.
I'd just be cool with a mediocre casual SW game to end the year.
I asked for very little knowing EA/Disney were jews and they still wanted to attack my wallet more.
I don't think I have ever read a more wrong opinion in my life.
>if you pay 200 USD you can be better than other players
No. I'm not buying this but the guy in the video is a faggot.
People made the same argument when DLCs began. Look at it now.
People bought unfinished alpha builds for 60 bucks what makes you think they will stop?
Yes that's what the definition of cosmetic means my friend.
Optional content that isn't in any way shape or form required to play the game, that you just buy because you want shiny things.
The lootbox system implemented here requires you to buy/collect them in order to be competetive which is like selling weapons separately for rpgs or maps for rts
Battlefront 2 is like Gajin Entertainment asking people to pay to play WarThunder, but as it currently stands WarThunder a literal f2p is less Jewish than a full price EA release. I pity the people who enjoy this shit.
Not here to defend p2w or microtransactions but I don't understand how this is any worse than DLC/Seasonpass which is locking me out of actual game content.
I'm a pretty big Star Wars fan but I was already burned out from this after the beta. It's shit. And obvious p2w.
p2w in a game that does not even have a k/d.
This. I actually liked the beta and felt even with the star cards it wasn’t that bad.
I decided to give the origin access 10 hour trial a go and it feels like a completely different game from the beta. Now you really see how cancerous star cards are, lots of people have max rank star cards in under 10 hours of play that aren’t the deluxe edition bonuses, loot crates cost twice as much credits as they did in the beta, and the game seems to run worse than before.
Really changed my mind and I’m not gonna buy it anymore.
I would much rather buy a full game at launch for 60 bucks and then buy an expansion pack DLC with new maps, heroes, weapons, ships etc. a year later for 30 or 40 bucks than have to deal with all of this bullshit of paying for RNG crates for RNG progression.
To be fair, Theed, Kashyyyk, and Jakku are the only bad maps for galactic assault. Death Star 2 ruins and Unknown Sector are bad space battle maps due to the heavy debris and poor crash detection.
>buying an EA game
l m a o
Well I would rather have the additional content for free and not buy/care for lootboxes.
That's not really gonna happen, even way way back then Battlefield 1942 had expansion packs. You're not gonna get new content made after launch and released a year or two later for free 99.9% of the time.
You fags poor or something?
Right, OP, with his 60$ not spent on absolute garbage, is the cuck.
10/10 bait made me reply.
>multiplayer shootbang
>upgrades that literally change balancing like damage reduction
>max upgrade for a hero reduces damage to 0 while in a certain combat mode
How the fuck did this pass through anyone? What if I'm playing the game and shooting this guy with the max upgrade, and making zero damage despite the fact that I usually would be doing 50%? How would I know?
Games like this only work with strictly defined numbers. It takes X shots to kill someone. Otherwise there's no fucking point to play. On top of that, people are LITERALLY buffed compared to you, based on skill cards you will not know about while in the middle of battle.
It fucking ignores the principles of what makes these games fun. I can't believe they will get away with this.
Get a job
Jesus can you fucking stop shilling your videos already? All you do is just pander to Sup Forums
There's a long wrong with the game and I doubt it will sell well either.
It looks like it has a 20 tick rate or lower and you die around corners all the time.
It has microtransactions that affect gameplay and it takes 35-40 hours of grind to unlock a hero from match earnings alone (not counting daily quest rewards and one-time progression/achievement rewards), assuming you buy no other upgrades and only save for hero.
It has questionable balance and some guns are outright useless.
Some abilities are useless as well, same goes for heroes.
The UI is awful and spawning and having to skip the death recap and selecting the same class again is tedious as hell and then you have the countdown for the wave spawning, too. Whoever designed this should be fired, it's that bad.
It's a teamwork based game but you can't really play it with friends because when you join with buddies and die you respawn on another end of the map with another squad. There's also no way to effectively communicate/coordinate with other random team members inside the game.
The map design is bad at times with tiny chokepoints and no option to flank, making it impossible to progress the map and you can only farm a few kills before the match is over.
The voice acting is awful. No famous character sounds like in the movies and the voices of made up NPC or announcers seem devoid of emotion.
The game is not as pretty as other DICE games were. It's fairly ugly in some areas but the upside is that runs pretty well and doesn't have major frame drops.
There's also something wrong with atmosphere in general but I can't quite pinpoint it yet. Space battles feel great but something is wrong on the ground. The old Battlefronts didn't suffer from this issue.
Im gonna play it for the shitty campaign I dont play online
>original two games are literally battlefield with a star wars skin
>IP is then given to the battlefield devs who've been pretty successful with recent battlefield installments
>new battlefront games are anything but battlefield with a star wars skin
How the fuck do you fuck up that badly?
>It's Yong 'let me read you this article for about 15 min' Yea.
Fellow gamers, unite! Overthrow our capitalist overlords!
>WIN, EA,MICROTRANSACTIONS AND LOOTBOXES.
Anyone who cares already knows not to. You aren't going to convince enough people for it to matter. Normies worldwide will eat that shit up. Gaming deserves this. Do not try to stop it, it is destiny.
I would rather have everything for free. Vote with your wallets gamers, we can make it happen
That's where you are wrong sonny, if enough people get mad about it and keep creating negative PR for these shitty business practices, then things will change. It's a matter of continued resistance becuase EA sure as hell aren't going to give in easily.
>DO NOT BUY THIS GAME. IF YOU SUPPORT THIS GAME YOU ARE SUPPORTING PAY TO WIN, EA,MICROTRANSACTIONS AND LOOTBOXES.
Fuck off, let people buy and play wherever they want. This industry is a joke already, and it can't possible be worse.
>pay to be able to play online (even though you already pay for the game, and you have the right to use every mode in it)
>pay for DLC that were cut from the game. Like RE7, were they released the first DLC one week after the game came out.
>download a huge patch that fix several bugs and glitches, because we rush the development and released the game incomplete.
>buy this game, but please be excited because we will update it so it feels more complete (like FF XV).
>Please watch our one hour publicity, I mean conference, where we will provide you with trailers that doesn't represent the game on any form, but who cares, because hype and you are going to preorder because you are a fucking sheep.
THIS. Join the resistance gamers, don't give up the fight! I'll never stop posting about this online, not while evil corporations like EA are making me buy things in computer games
Kek, the sarcasm here really is shit tier.
You are delusional, user. We, the people who browse Sup Forums, or the people that post on forums, are the minority. The vast majority are people who can't care less about videogames. They just see a new Star Wars games, or a new Call of Duty game, and they just buy it. And if they wan to spend a quick buck, then they do it. We are not going to change jack shit.
I already have it downloaded. So how much will it cost in real money to unlock the locked heroes? I'll probably just buy them
You're a disgrace to gaming, fucking kill yourself
>Implying that the hundred plus gaming articles, YouTube videos etc. Already covering microtransactions and lootboxes as shitty business practices that are reaching 100,000+ people has absolutely no impact on sales
Wew lad, do some research before you shitpost
Good, good. Do it, user. Burn this industry to the ground.
So like $5? You people are that broke?
Do you know how long this has been tried? Outside of a controversy there isn't anything stopping them. You underestimate the sheer mass of people who buy video games and don't dwell on the internet all their life. Normies will fuel AAA bad practices forever.
Lol the first battlefront sold 12 million you fucking retard
Again, you are delusional.
>Implying that the hundred plus gaming articles, YouTube videos etc. Already covering microtransactions and lootboxes as shitty business practices that are reaching 100,000+ people has absolutely no impact on sales
No it doesn't. People are going to buy the game because it's a fucking Star Wars game. You thing that the casual market care about this medium? Please.
The only way to save video games is fully automated luxury communism. Prove me wrong
>DO NOT BUY THIS GAME
im going to buy it just to spite you, and I'll also drop a few hundred bucks on lootboxes
>expecting the masses to not buy anything star wars related
I mean I hate star wars now, but come on. They're going to buy it, lootboxes or no.
Same, this is what I always do when I see these self righteous fucks who think they can tell other people what to buy. It's like they think they're activists or something because they post about video games on the internet.
...
Lads, I think that games cannot be saved anymore
I'll just play indies and untainted medium budget productions until the cancer spreads there too, at which point I'll kill myself. Or get another hobby.
You spend money when people tell you not to? Good job, I guess. Hit em where it hurts the most, your wallet of all things.
>I doubt it will sell well
user the first battlefront sold 20 million copies despite being a piece of shit
dont kid yourself
>DO NOT BUY THIS GAME
yea, even if you saying something like that, this is an anonymous board, you don't even know if someone here is currently plays Battlefront II while browsing Sup Forums...
Your source that the game will fail is a reddit LARPer? Nice one, user.
Exactly what anons first point was, controversy can lead to change if the backlash is large enough.
I hope you are joking.
...
And that's why it's of upmost importance that you spend hours every day in circlejerk threads online
Some faggots on Reddit aren't going to change anything. Normies are going to eat this shit up.
>people defended the lootcrates saying "you can get them by playing it"
>they increase the in-game currency cost
Dead in a month bois
>Implying either EA or Disney care
>implying the game won't make 9 gorillion dollars for just having the name Star Wars in it
Legit delusional if you think a couple spergs on Sup Forums or Leddit will make even the slightest dent on a game whose name alone will make normies erect.
>B-but our gaming revolution!
Go back to your Anfita subreddit, cuck.
>"oh boy i am sure that those dumb poorfags are really mad, not like us"
>Microtransactions and lootboses
>Devs bareface lie about main character defecting
>Not really an Imperial POV story
Fuck this shit game.
Is this the future of star wars games, Sup Forums? Is this the end?
yeah but even if you do ignore it you'll get outgunned by the paying customer, ruining the game
it's the end of good ones
>perfectly fine game
it's not
>Really wanted Battlefront 3
>mfw what I got
This is the only game I'm buying this year so idc if I spend a little extra on loot shit. This game is fun as fuck so it's worth it. Get fucking jobs you autistic fucks.
their ENTIRE front page of their subreddit is just endless crying about this
reddit /r/StarWarsBattlefront/
its actually a shame cause the game is fun as fuck
I bet everyone in this thread doesn't care about star wars and just wants to talk about microtransactions and how evil EA is. I'm more angry about the defection reveal.
>got a new PC for work
>gunna get a new game with great graphics to show it off
>don't give a fuck about cucktransactions, feels good to beat people paying for better stuff than me
>makes babbies upset in the process
my purchase is getting better by the hour
>people think pay to win is the only problem
Theres so much more. Card in gerneral are bad design even if you couldnt buy them. Fucks over any new players without the straight stat bonuses.
Any fov above the default 60 causes large fish eye. This is why they didnt allow it in the beta.
You cant switch faction in your collection to preview other emotes
The best hero is a literal who "Bossk" because nobody at EA wanted to play him to test them
There are multiple scrap piles on Mos Eisley you can get stuck on and have to kill self
Rebels and Resistance share the same characters.
Generally less customisation options that the first one.
>Rebels and Resistance share the same characters.
To be fair, Resistance is shitter copy of Rebels, there was nothing what could be done with the.
it already works in asia, they're trying to get it going here too, and it's already working on mobile so my fears are sooner or later AAA gamer will be p2w and people will defend it too
happened to every new frontier of consumer fuckery, there's always a bunch of idiots to argue that the slippery slope isn't real but here we are anyway
>Average Galactic Assault Match Length: 11:09
>Average Credits per Match: 275
>Average Credits per Minute of Gameplay: 25.04
>Gameplay Minutes Required to Earn a Trooper Crate (4000): 159.73
>Gameplay Minutes Required to Unlock One Hero: 2,395.97
You read that correctly.
At the current price of 60,000 credits it will take you 40 hours of gameplay time to earn the right to unlock one hero or villain. That means 40 hours of saving each and every credit, no buying any crates at all, so no bonus credits from getting duplicates in crates.
This fucking "just don't buy them" argument is fucking ignorant.
They are fucking up the base game on purpose to fuck with you and get you to buy them.
are the locked heros massively OP?
If you win too fast you actually get less points
Yup.
If you are able to play well and end the game just after the first round, you will get less credits than if you were to actually lose the game or go through all the rounds.
Its fucked up.
Good. Let them keep "crying". They are doing the right thing.
Ok ok but is the game itself fun or not?
