Xenoblade 2 Microtransactions

Why is no one talking about the "offers in-game purchases" that isn't on any other items in the shop? will they really go there? why isn't it there in the Japanese shop?

It's okay when nintendo does it

EXPANSION
UNLOCKABLE CONTENT
DLC
SEASON PASS

When Nintendo does DLC they do it right.

Ummm we will give you 20 seconds to delete this thread or its being deleted. You have been warned.

It's for the season pass and DLC you mong. Not microtransactions. Who the fuck would put microtransactions in a game that barely sells anyway.

nice meme

thread hasn't been deleted yet, what gives shitpost-kun?

Normally I would be upset but because it's Nintendo I think I can let it slide.

But other games with dlc don't have that tag, it implies shit like buying weapons

>i want nintendo to get on with the times!

This is what you wanted, enjoy.

>that barely sells anyway.

Xenoblade, when getting barely any attention and marketing, is a million+ seller. Fairly consistently. This game has a lot of marketing the other games never had behind it, and a lot more hype, I wouldn't be surprised if it pushes 2 million+ sales.

neither xenoblade has sold over a million

Blade summoning uses a gatcha system

PRE ORDER BONUS CODE
REDEEMABLE IN GAME CODE
EXCLUSIVE ITEM/GEAR(S) CODE

lets hope not lol

If you combine Wii and 3DS sales the original Xenoblade sold over 1.5 million. Annnd...huh, you're right, X almost but didn't quite hit the million mark. But it was on Wii U.

>If you combine Wii and 3DS sales
to be fair there's probably a lot of double dippers on 3DS

And I doubt X2 would be pretty same. The usual nintendo fanbase doesn't do well with story heavy 100hr jrpgs. The only reason that Xenoblade continues getting sequels is because Nintendo needs a an exclusive JRPG of their own. A FF substitute cuz modern FFs dont come to nintendo consoles. Which is hilarious considering Xenoblade is better than any modern FF game.

Yeah, but the original Wii release was also a limited run and hard to get. A lot of people wanted to play it on Wii, but never could. This also explains the numbers. Before now Xenoblade was a limited release, or on a niche console with no users and was largely marketed by word of mouth. Xenoblade 2 on the other hand is not.

>The usual nintendo fanbase doesn't do well with story heavy 100hr jrpgs. The only reason that Xenoblade continues getting sequels is because Nintendo needs a an exclusive JRPG of their own.

You mean unlike all the other RPGs that traditionally find their way to Nintendo systems? Including exclusives?

Sup Forums is the only forum that is eagerly anticipating this game probably the most. To others it's just another muh anime jrpg that they don't play. It's a niche game in a niche genre. It still wont sell huge numbers.

the other JRPGs that come to nintendo are even more niche in comparision. SMT, etrian odyssey, disgaea, etc None these sell even close to a million. the only big hitter JRPG on a nintendo console I can remember is Bravely Default. And we are getting a Octopath from them which is being marketed much heavier.

Are you saying big high quality jrpgs don't sell?

>Fire Emblem

DQ XI is also coming but DQ is only popular in Japan and not in the west.

in America not really

Yep, as sad as it is. JRPGs as a whole don't sell too well unless it has Final Fantasy attached to it. Even Persona only got this popular for being a good dating sim with top waifus and not for being a good JRPG.
and DQ only sells in japan on pure nostalgia.

It has less marketing than Xenoblade X had.
Also X was a better game and didn't pander to sexually-frustrated teenagers.

>some people bought the awful 3DS version with horrible graphics and no japanese audio
something is seriously wrong with the world

You didn't think they wouldn't capitalize on the fact they have a gacha system in this game?

Get ready to find out certain rare blades are only available from paid gacha rolls

>nintendo fanbase
what the hell is this? People that plzy Xeno games don't give a shit about nintendo

only limited in the USA.

>If you combine Wii and 3DS sales the original Xenoblade sold over 1.5 million
>combine 2 of one of the most popular systems on the market and still can not rack in 2 million

>Are you saying big high quality jrpgs

Is Nier a big JRPG since it sold 2 million, get outta here, only Final Fantasy and Pokemon are "big" round here

I find info about the DLC plans, but nothing about microtransactions

Nier Automata sold due to the ass controversy

Also nice Aus/Leaf pricing there, all I'm finding is it will be 30 bucks

Yes. that was my point as well. The usual nintendo fanbase doesn't play Xeno games. Hence why they don't sell a lot. English isn't your strong point is it?

everyone does it and it will probably be a standard soon enough.
i don't get your whining, grow up and earn some money to finance your hobby you third worlder.
>hurrr durrr it's ok when nintendo does it
it's not the best outcome but you can be sure that nintendo at least makes it worth your money with actual games and quality content for the little bit of extra cash unlike sony with their movie games.

I still don't get it, you make no sense.
The nintendo fanbase is irrelevant.

no

This is a good point. Only shitskin thirdworlders and communists complain about DLC white people usually have jobs and can afford them.
Also Nintendo is one of the best video game companies and you should be thankful they decided to support this single player game a year after its release.

>user:Xeno sold well
>me:no they really didn't
>user:one was rare, X was on a dead platform
>me:true but 2 won't sell well either cuz Jrpgs bad or good don't sell well regardless of platform unless its FF.
Point being X2 will sell pretty much the same because poeple who bought switch for zelda and mario (i.e. 90% of nintendo fanbase) don't necessarily play 100hr JRPGs
Did that make it more clear. If not, i don't know how to explain any better user

Did you check Zelda and Fire Emblem Warriors?

in hind sight, using the word install base might be more apt than fanbase if that's what confusing you

that would bring some modicum of sense to your ramblings, yes

You're implying that only the nintendo fanbase buys Nintendo consoles, especially the Switch. And that's wrong.

So can I expect Nintendo to release all their games with a $30 season pass from now on?

Only the ones with DLC. They don't seem to want to do DLC for the mainline Mario games yet, and Game Freak already said they're not doing DLC in mainline Pokemon games either because if they do that then they can't charge you $40 for a brand new ULTRA version of the game, goy.

They could and will eventually tho.

Never said they wouldn't at some point, but they're definitely not there yet.

yes
