For Honor is 24 dollars. Worth it? It's the lowest price that it's ever been. I played the beta, and I thought it could be fun but wasn't worth the launch price for me.
I've heard that connection problems persist, but that dedicated servers are going to be implemented in "season 4" (whatever that is).
For Honor
Its fun and probably the least jewish game ubisoft Put out in years, not that this means much
How active is the PC community? Seeing gameplay of the Centurion makes me want to buy, but I don't want to spend 24 dollars just to role play as a roman for a couple hours in singleplayer.
bump
Lots of people still playing, the problem is they are really fucking good and you will get your ass beat.
It's a fighting game incase you weren't sure.
not that guy but i haven't really followed the community for like the past 2 months cause i got tired of the games bullshit and dropped it but unless something has changed pc usually has 2/5 game modes completely dead to the point you can't find matches in them at all. Also you don't get to play centurion in the single player and since he's a dlc character you have to buy him before you can use him and he's like 3 times more expensive than the base characters.
>Also you don't get to play centurion in the single player and since he's a dlc character you have to buy him before you can use him and he's like 3 times more expensive than the base characters.
So kind of like Siege in terms of characters.
Are the game modes that are empty that 4v4 dominion thing? I heard that that mode isn't very fun anyway... and maybe the community will have grown a bit with the sale.
Pretty much but i think the amount of currency you get in for honor means you'll get the characters quicker. Dominion is one of the 3 populated modes on pc along with 2v2 and 1v1 duels, i should add this is unique to pc however. i play on xbone and i can find matches on any game mode.
dude it will get lower then just 24 bucks.
dominion is well populated and youll get into a game quickly, but youll get ganked to hell and back by clans
duel is dead and for good reason, the game at its core is fuckin dreadful
the rest are super dead
looked like sjw trash full of black vikings and strong wyman knights so I never bothered with it.
apparently the netcoding is a disaster and the gameplay full of little animations errors that you can abuse to win so it seems like I made the right decision
not sure what you mean by dead, lots of people playing duels
unless you're talking about balance issues?
Missed potential the game.
Still active, but most the game modes have dried up. Players are strong now too.
Best attempt at a *true* 3D fighting game ever made, and the best new 3D combat system since DMC came out.
It's a shame it falls short and is just pretty shallow Soul Calibur 2 clone.
Someday someone like Capcom/Arcsys will remake For Honor and it will be the shit.
ubisoft ruined it for me
Great game, decent skill ceiling, don't get angry at it and you'll be fine.
Ignore people whining about microtransactions, the game throws steel at you for just about anything.
>hurr durr sjw boogyman
Wait for $1 deal
it wont get lower than this, unless they do a starter edition for 15$ like rainbow.
Dedicated servers are coming sometime in the next 3 months, devs just posted on twitter that they had the first team wide test on servers Friday!
> don't get angry at it
impossible
it'll taker significantly longer to get into duels compared to dom, mostly because of bugs and the major unbalance the game has had since launch, etc
now ofc we are talking about pc only here, consoles are mostly populated well
>fuck facts and claims it's a boogeyman when the people I dislike don't go with ti
The skill ceiling is lower than any fighting game really.
in any fighting game you can button mash and do relatively well, you cant do that in FH
The skill floor might be higher, but the skill ceiling is lower.
>Do relatively well.
Against who or what?
The party is over with the hardest FH characters in a week for skill growth. At that point it's about match experience. I mean, this is good and bad honestly. It means newer players can get comfortable faster while vets can slowly develop their matchups. However "execution monsters" aren't going to stick to it because the characters themselves aren't interesting enough to play.
Compare this to learning a difficult fighting game character like Johnny or Carl where you the learning experience can easily go over a year even with fighting game experience.
