Pretty much. Although I guess it's ironic for being a good entry into SMT it's also very much not friendly to new players. What do all these spells with names like Rimdora do? Fuck if you know without casting them first. Then again, this was really only changed to include helpful tooltips in Persona 3 from what I remember.

It's a JRPG done the Final Fantasy way. It just has an SMT coat of paint. I'd prefer a game that has a "gimmick" if that gimmick gives the game a sense of personality and uniquity. All that gave this in DDS was the setting of the first game.
