I wish the other bosses in Diablo 2 were most interesting. Duriel, despite his notoriety, has only one attack, Mephisto and Baal are super easy to slow and interrupt, and Andariel is easily beaten by chugging some antidote potions before facing her.

Diablo on the other hand had the lightning blast, the flame river, a slow, and the fire nova.

there's not much depth possible in this sort of game
even PoE which does about as much with the diablo formula as possible in the end basically boil down to AoE attacks, moving around and spawning adds

I've never understood summoner necros, it's a really cool concept but so fucking boring to play.

Those enemies near Diablo who casted Iron Maiden on you, I think they've patched that out now though.
