thanks steam greenlight and humble bundle
So stop eating that shit up, retard. If you aren't a fan of 8-bit games running at 70fps I wouldn't bother with PC gaming.

Man, I love Dark Souls.
you dumb
There's nothing wrong with that. Not all games are great.
I've spent about 70 hours on Gravity Rush 2 by now, and it's interesting how I never imagined I'd get so much value on this little game. I thought it'd last about 20 hours and I'd be over and done with it, but the fun online features and doing a completionist run made sure that I still have quite a bit to do before I'm done with it. Feels good.
>install a new game
>fuck it can't be bothered to play
>play tf2
Play ck2 ya nerd
Are you me?
>install game
>play for 30 minutes
>life's obligations take precedent
>never have time to play again
never grow up, it's just not worth it
this
It's something to do with a 'been there done that' kind of philosophy. Games are becoming increasingly similar and there's so many of them now that there is a lot of overlap in gameplay, which feels uninteresting becuase you've done it before so you're brain isn't being stimulated enough and you feel bored and close the game. I feel it too OP you just gotta think 'well I've got nothing else to' and give it another shot and it may hook you eventually

One more day, user.
I don't even care about the expansion itself, but finally having things such as rally points, better casus beli for smaller nations and a better tributary system has me excited about a new thing in a video game for the first time in a while.
Games are for fun. You're getting bored and stopping. You could either take a break from games for a bit to help you appreciate and enjoy them more, or you could exercise self discipline and force yourself to keep going and finish them up.
I bet you pirate games op. The wealth of games available makes these symptoms worse
That's 2 more hours than me.
I just keep installing and uninstalling games.
>play for 2 hours
Look at this nerd over here having enough time and enthusiasm to play a game for 2 hours straight without getting tired, bored or interrupted by responsibilities.
Meanwhile I bought 4 games, pirated 2 games and installed 2 games since last time I played without having the chance of actually touching them
HELP
Well you can just force yourself to play some average game that you barely enjoy as a timewaster, but might as well wait for the few releases that really interest you and go do something else in the meantime, like fapping.
I'm reminded of some guy who recently said that A Hat in Time did this for him, by the way. And I do remember a few games that made the same to me. People are usually quick to blame themselves for this indifference, but you can only tolerate the same old shit so much. There comes a time when either a game comes out that follows the same old formulas outstandingly, or some pretty cool original shit comes out to get you out of gaming malaise.
No
>install another game
I usually can't even get to that point.
For me, it's more like:
>Try to get interested in a game
>Depression tells me I don't deserve to enjoy a new game or simply drains my will to do anything at all
>Play a game I've already finished a million times while listening to Youtube videos or something
>Decide I'll play a new game tomorrow
>Go to sleep
>Wake up
>The cycle begins again
That's me
You're depressed
>Hack WiiU
>Spend last 2 weeks downloading an installing WiiU, Wii, GC games and emulators
>I know I probably wont ever play anything
>I just like the idea of having a box with this massive collection of games on it
>install a game
>Play 800 hours
>burn out, install another game
>Play for 10 minutes
>log out of steam forever
Me too
i bet you watch other people play in stream too
Nah
Damn.
>woah another gun running through a hallway point and shootie
I couldn't even get into The Witcher 3.
Likewise. Only played an hour and suddenly stopped and haven't went back

Don't worry, I'm in the same boat. Worst is I bought PS4 and bought shitton of games that Sup Forums recommended and I only finished 1 game so far which is HZD. I'm planning to finish Bloodborne>Ys 8>Infamous>Disgaea 5 in this order and then I'll just play the rest in my free time.
>play jRPG
>restart after 2 hours because not doing everything perfectly
>open gamefaqs, have 4 separate reference materials open
>play for 2 hours, realize it isn't fun glancing at my phone every 5 seconds
>restart
>try and play as if I'd never played the game before and am not an obsessive compulsive perfectionist with these kind of games
>play for 2 hours
>forgot to equip materia/weapons/pokemon for a 10 minute stretch of time
>restart
This is the hardest thing about old school jRPGS tbf, most are at a difficulty level that none of this shit even matters. I'm getting better though.
hey you're me
but I play Hightower and jump maps exclusively with music in the background
Damn dude you need to stop caring so much.
I play d2 without even planning my build first.
nigga quit beating yourself up over pokemon you fucking autist
it's supposed to be an easy game, you can beat it anyway you want. there's not really a best way. just choose the little fucks you like and train them
I honestly think it's because they are so easy that you mind thinks it can do it perfectly and chases after it, I don't think I would even think about any of this if jRPGS were actually difficult and your choices in battle strategy/party combination,equipment/enemy knowledge actually effected whether you win or lose.
play killer7
>play RPG
>restart after 2 hours to try a different class
>repeat with every single class in the game
>realize that the first class i played with was the best
>stop playing because i cant stand going through the tutorial section again
>install game
>install game
>install game
>play other game
>feel like gaming
>reboot into windows
>start steam
>look at the 30 installed games there
>decide what to play for 10 minutes
>start game
>look at menu
>don't feel like playing anymore
>quit game
>reboot back into linux
>continue aimlessly browsing the internet
I'm the exact opposite. I always play the same class in every RPG - a pure mage who focuses on direct damage spells. If a game doesn't allow that (or a sci-fi equivalent, like a psychic or something), it's hard for me to be interested in playing it.
I'd guess that that's the case for nearly all the people who post about suddenly losing interest in games. Losing interest in things you used to really like is one of the biggest symptoms of depression.
>drop 2k on PC
>just play Dota and HotS with friends
super same
you are a faggot
>friends constantly try to get me to play new games when I just want to play my puzzle/sim games in peace
>call me cheapskate because I'm content with my library
>It's another "spend all day on Sup Forums" episode
STOP
Fuck 'em. Play what you want.
>owning a gaming PC is suffering
i end up getting more play and excitement out of a new Tower Defence game more than anything else these days, also Epic Battle Fantasy 5 is prob the most hyped for a video game i have been in several years
I love that episode
They rerun it too often.
holy shit
Any advice on how to leave this fucking place? I've been here for 7 years already.
Realizing how a waste of time it is.
Realizing it is filled with retards who don't know shit about video games.
same for me. games are just shit now.
nah, just AAA games and semi big devs are trash
Are you me????
>What is wrong with me
You're trying to play video games but don't want to, you're just depressed and want to do nothing at all, and in reality, you're just looking for a way to waste time.
>game get released in 2003
>i want so bad to play it, but pc is shit
>ff to 2007; finally i have money to get new pc
>install the game
>play for 15 minutes
>uninstall it because its shit
true story, that game is unreal2
I've been here for the same amount of time as you. I've tried installing browser add-ons to block the site, and I even edited the hosts file on my computer to block the site that way. In spite of all this, I always end up back here.
The annoying thing about Sup Forums these days is how shitloads of threads get derailed into some political argument, like bickering about race and gender, or the million Nazi vs Communist threads that we have now.
Ikr. I decided to be 17yo for the last 15 years, no regrets.
>semi big devs
I don't think such a thing exists in gaming anymore. It's all AAA or indie now.
You gotta drift away from this site user, it's not healthy for you.
okay, avoid 100% AAA and 98% of indie.
