I don't know, why did you die?

Because that's what weeb trash deserves

Didn't some new Chinese boatgirl game come and usurp it?

>Shinken!! died
>No more best girl

Otaku are fickle and have short attention spans. Nothing to really do with the franchise itself, it's just the natural progression of disposable IP. Another mobage fad will rise up and replace it.

Unfortunate but honest truth.

So when are they going to move on from Touhou?

The creators didn't allow for any doujin material whatsoever. What was originally slated to be the next Touhou ended up dying the very same year because the fans couldn't do their own things with the characters, which went down with the proverbial ship.

Otakus followed their dick to chink ships

Give it a year and there'll be a new flavour

because there's no gameplay so once something else came up it was super easy to move on

Most would agree that people already have moved on. Touhou is nowhere near what it used to be back in the 2000s. Although it is in the unique position where it will never truly "die" in the same way other fads do thanks to the long standing culture of creators surrounding it. The musicians did an especially good job of propping it up.

Considering I only know about this based on fanart, it seems to be doing just as well as it used to.

Maybe they should make a good game with anime girls added instead of anime girls with a lackluster game attached.

Bad music

God I want to a boat.

Kancolle shot themselves in the foot by making an anime that instead of expanding on the given world (like toehoe print works do), just canonises the safest of fan headcanons and leaves nothing to interpretation. And also drought of content in the game. With every Touhou there's a shitton of new characters, music and lore to play with, whereas KC just releases a dozen girls a year and calls it a day.

Azur Lane.

They already have for the most part.

I think Fate's the biggest of the group now; with GBF and various idol franchises just behind.

>KC just releases a dozen girls a year and calls it a day.
You mean a year.

No abyssmals.
Company are retards.
Anime sucked.

It's everywhere in japan thanks to kancolle arcade.

It's just that japanese gamecenters are a totally insular thing and hard to access for westerners outside of japan.

>2016
Arcade game is dead outside of events, literally every time I went to the arcade the machines were empty or had 1 other person playing

the playerbase moved to play REAL ships.
world of warships have a large playerbase from kantai

Never. Touhou is here to stay.
But I think kemono friends took quite a share of japanese hobby autists from touhou.

>I think Fate's the biggest of the group now;
Haha what?
Outside of porn I see little to no fate fan creations.
Touhou can still fill entire stores with doujin soft and musics.

>only lvl 48
fuck off

>>But I think kemono friends took quite a share of japanese hobby autists from touhou.
And now it's dead

no shimakaze focus

Yes, Fate go took his place.

Shimakaze was the only good thing to come out of the IJN.

>Treaty destroyers can't open sea
>Type-A destroyers have no ASW
>Type-B destroyers have no AS OR ASW
>Why the fuck would you defend the Type-Cs?
>Light cruisers can't fire their guns because of strain on the hull
>Heavy cruisers are even worse
>Battlecruisers are objectively inferior to US battlecruisers
>KYS if you think Yamato was anything other than a piece of trash
>Everything else is unremarkable
