Buy Vic Viper Bomber and Power Zone
Play 1-set 2-player battles against a weak CPU
Dash then move straight into the CPU's bomb
You should get 150 gems each time

Go to regular VS mode.
Select Vic Viper Bomber as your character and just one CPU opponent.
Set the rules as single round.
Select the Power Zone Stage.
When the match starts, press B twice to use Vic Viper Bomber's quick glide to get to the opposite side of the stage where the CPU is.
Commit suicide on the bomb it drops.
You got 150 credits for four seconds of gameplay, select Rematch to rinse and repeat.

You can create a room with a room code, people would just need the room code to join.
No idea honestly, I don't know of any faster methods for grinding and even playing online extremely well wouldn't net you those many credits normally. Maybe the user who posted the pic has an answer?
