There's an alpha intended for modders. Basically, stick with Legendary Edition for now but eventually Special Edition will be better for newer mods. The swap over will take some time.

>sept.12
yes we know about the alpha
i’m just waiting for a version that doesn’t get ass fucked by creation club updates

it will never be as feature rich as 32 bit skyrim nor will any future beth game be as comprehensively moddable as 32 bit skyrim ever again.

Being playing with the current SKSE64 for weeks now. no problems.

Everything just needs to be re-worked for 64bit. That's it. It isn't like they have to remake everything just reconfigure it.

>will take some time
People already moved on to other things, most mods won't ever be ported and the creation club shit still directly fucks mods over by changing the game with every new paid mod batch.

Literally all I need is a mod that makes the perk trees more interesting and balanced, and then I have everything I need to enjoy SE. Does anyone know if this already exists?

Whats the mod situation like?

Not expecting sex mods but some of the big, SKSE reliant ones should be out right?

it took too long for it to come out, which is a shame, being 64bit se is theoretically a lot more stable than regular skyrim, but I don't think I'll ever switch because I doubt that there will be enough attention to SE

Ordinator for perks, there's also a very worthwhile magic overhaul

it's over anons. enjoy it for what it was. perhaps dream of what could have been. but eventually you must move on.

is there really no ordinator for SE? all you need is ordinator, ultimate combat, apocalypse spells, tk dodge, mortal enemies, revenge of the enemies, ASIS, forgotten magic to mostly unfuck combat, tk dodge definetely needs the SE but what about the rest?

>Everything just needs to be re-worked for 64bit.
you forgetting all the engine obfuscations that carried over from fallout 4. its way more than just a reworking.

Ordinator looks good, thanks user. I know that SE will probably never feature as much mods as the original game, but I’m in the minority who really doesn’t need any other mods than one to rebalance the shitty vanilla skilltrees.

many mods got tired of waiting for skse to deal with all the engine shit the se has (same as fallout 4 and why f4se is still nowhere near as feature complete) and just hacked their own things together. sex mods on the level of oblivion or even fnv are still a long way away, even in fallout 4.

Is this gonna make installing porn mods easier?

No, but it'll make running many mods more efficient

Are you fucking serious? A script extender for the SE still isn't out yet? The game's basically unplayable without the script extender.

I just want SkyUI. That's it. Everything else is either SE-free like Ordinator or completely optional.

never ever

its been out since mid september.
the issue is every time bethesda updates the creationclub it changes the exe file. the script extended works by injecting itself into the exe by being loaded as regular dll files and as such are executable specific.
they script extender makers cant really redo the script extender every time bethesda updates their game. game version might stay the same but even the tiniest new addition to the creationclub changes the executable rendering the script extender useless.

Multiplayer Skyrim? What's the status of t-to-the-k dodging?

even if they made a perfect SE that always updated, nobody would port their mods over anyways. skyrim modding scene is just on auto-pilot.

I prefer SPERG since it have meaningful perks that change gameplay.

LOL
fuck LE

can never ever go back to that 30fps bullshit

>the tiniest new addition to the creationclub changes the executable rendering the script extender useless.

Is this intentional by Bethesda to break mods outside of creationclub?

Couldn't SKSE pick a version and tell faggots to restrict updates for Skyrim SE?

>restrict updates
You can't choose to disable updates on Steam. Make one mistake by launching it the wrong way and you have to go through a lot of trouble to fix it. It's a huge pain in the ass.

Surely there has to be some kind of .exe or .dll capable of restricting this, otherwise do you set it to Update when I play and alt tab to cancel the download?

Or literally play by disconnecting your internet?

You can disable auto updates, but then you will have to deal with mods being updated to the newer version while you're still with the old one, leading to even more compatibility problems.

It's just a mess. CC was a mistake.

I'm willing to believe that it's just incompetence. Judging by how unimpressive their CC selection looks to anyone who has had access to free mods for years, it feels like they're assuming most of their players haven't even looked at a mod before.

Is Enderal ever going to be available for SE?

No idea.
Some of the team are working on some more content for Enderal itself though.

until we get ultimate combat, then it doesn't really matter. SkyUI is nice and all but it's not gameplay related

It's not just incompetence, some mods change core aspects of the game, survival mode for example had to change the UI code of the game to add the icons around the compass, which broke SkyUI.
It's a devious way to kill free modding by making it as inconvenient as possible, they know exactly what they are doing.

I've been playing SE with SKSE and it's worked fine for me, but I don't mod skyrim as much as some others do.

>fallout 4 makes radiation reduce your max hp
>skyrim se's """"survival"""" mode makes the cold reduce your max hp
you can't make this shit up

>modded survival
>everything reduces your hp mp and stamina

I don't see how that can't be incompetence.

Doesn't really matter anyway, they're fucking over modders regardless of what's going on through their heads while they're doing it.

It's far more likely they don't take mods into account when making changes (nor should they).
