I always played shaman but I agree with you, it sucked to have to go off your mount to be able to move around in Undercity because the doors were too small.

I'll be going Tauren Shaman. First time going Shaman in vanilla. I was a Troll Priest back then. Alliance isn't my thing. Feels too much like so many other MMOs.

If some players get to decide they would choose only human and UD as race with op racials, then warriors for tank, rogue/mage for dps and priest for healers. It would work obviously but would be extremely boring and limited gameplay. Would not earn blizzard $$$ because they are mostly the loud minority.

I've played a paladin since 1.4.2, after seeing one as an undead mage, during an attack on Stormwind, wearing full Lightforge. They are completely fine. So are druids by the way. No class counters mages in PvP as hard as druids do, if you want to shit on a mage or a rogue completely, you pick a druid. Of course you wouldn't know a thing about it since you think that "reckbombing" was removed and FaP's could not be dispelled by priests or shamans.

Current wow doesn't follow what made vanilla good.

Verigan's Fist is an acceptable replacement. Smite might give you a bit more damage via extra str, but it's not noticeable unless you talent it.

All Blizzard had to do is put in EvE style Nulsec zones. Places where PvP guilds could own land, exploit land, and exploit other guilds.

The only reason people run around being dicks in vanilla was because there wasnt any other form of running around being dicks. And a profitable form of being a dick is more attractive than just being a dick.

Slap in some nulsec style areas for PvPers. Slap in procedural raids for raiders. Then focus on improving leveling which is what most people loved about vanilla.

Shaman is my main. It can feel under-powered but its pretty solid.

I hope they remember to give shamans the talent revamp they didn't get. Otherwise this is gonna be another Bus Shock.

From what I've read, they were supposed to get Water Shield and more.

If we look at it really optimistically, maybe they knew it'd be bad for the game but they believed it would make them more money. Now that that playerbase is covered by modern WoW maybe they feel free to do things that are good for the game, but isn't popular with that many people. And then they do good things for the game.
Completely unrealistic though.

It isn't really that easy to come up with changes that wouldn't change the experience either. Dustwallow Marsh had a lot of quests added to it in a later expansion, which I think should be a relatively safe change, but it would still have the effect of detracting from the Stranglethorn Vale experience with spreading player across more zones. So still, it's a change that may be somewhat controversial.
Maybe they could add more hidden lore spots, interesting things to discover in the world that doesn't do anything, but that would be some pretty insignificant changes. Still though, at least it'd probably have no risk of making the game worse.
