Is this any good? feel like playing a crpg and it looks like fallout.

If you are a hipster or very old this will be for you.
If you grew up in an age with competent developers not so much.
is mid 20s very old for you
The Avernum games are GREAT but they are medieval fantasy
It's pretty good. There are better CRPGs, but not recent ones and its better than nothing.
It's not really like Fallout, it's primarily a combat dungeon crawler. Good for what it is though.
It's fun as fuck. Don't worry if you can't get through the depot on your first try, that's basically the end of the tutorial and where builds are tested so if you can't beat it just restart with another build and you can be back there in about an hour now that you know what to do.
As I stated hipsters will also enjoy this.
Do you hate Skyrim?
If so this is your game.
+ excellent challenging combat
+ good choice & consequence
+ great quests with multiple solutions, and that don't hold you hand
+ solid exploration
+ good story presented in a more subtle way (no narrator, loredumps, etc.)
- can be easy to get lost in the world, to miss objectives and to get stuck with a shit character build
- vendors won't buy all of your trash FUCK YOU, styg
- endgame (last quarter of the game) can be polarizing; some liked it and many didn't
overall, great cprg. Probably my favorite in the last 5 years
expansion when?
yes
don't post anymore
It's ok. It's not really an RPG, but more like X-COM. There's not really any characters worth talking to, but the combat is really meaty. Ending an entire encounter with a single grenade feels pretty great.
it's fun
I like shitting damage with rifles and being immortal to tiny pathetic calibers
>- vendors won't buy all of your trash FUCK YOU, styg
t. Al Fabet
>can be easy to get lost in the world
I hear that they're working on a World Map thing
You can't silence me gramps.
Did anyone who enjoyed this enjoy Skyrim as well?
My point stands.
I did
Really user?
You know lying on the interweb is a crime correct?
Do I need to get the cyberpolice involved?
well what's so hard to believe about it?
Great game, totally worth its price, its much like the old fallouts but much more focused on combat rather than roleplaying.
almost every skill/weapon can be made into a viable build that can finish the game, but the game will punish you if you are shit at making a build
you can literally stealth through the entire game, i think you have only 3 unavoidable fights in all of it.
in the end if you liked fallout 1 & 2 you will probably like this, if you didn't you are likely a filthy casual and you should stay away from this since it will only make you whine here
>+ good story presented in a more subtle way (no narrator, loredumps, etc.)
It's one thing to avoid narration/loredumps. It's another to string the player along with scant hints and then throw even more questions at them every time they look for answers.
The real problem i saw with the vendors is that there is a lot of things that it would make sense for them to buy since they should be fucking rare, for example nobody buys fucking food that should be fucking important in underrail
they also buy very little medicines/components which doesn't really make that much sense
well, The Occulus answers a lot of shit, so do the faceless and specially dude he actually spoils the whole game for you
>you can't like skyrim and this game or lying
>do you like skyrim?
>skyrim is better
>skyrim
>skyrim
>skyrim
Fuck off todd
