Nintendo, if you lurk here, I'm going to give you a billion dollar suggestion. You see this game? Make a new one with

>hundreds of parts, dozens of builds, and millions of combinations
>local wireless battles
>online multiplayer
>Waifus

Market this in Japan and they won't remember what the fuck a Monster Hunter is. This will sell like the unholy child of pokemon and Dragon Quest.

Why doesn't anyone ever talk about this game? It's top 10 on Gamecube for sure.

I'm thinking of making a game like it in 2D.

>billion dollar suggestion
>niche game for manchildren

>le custom robo meme XD

I know some guys who would like it

Hire From Software for this game.
>Why? From software has nothing to do with toys or mech!
Just google ARMORED CORE.

OP is a dumb fucktard

you seem like a smart feller using third grade insults there.

it's a good game, but it isn't insanely popular

Just stating a fact

It's too niche. You talk about Custom Robo and maybe a few people come by but nobody really knows what it is. It's only had two games outside of Japan, and its last game was literally over a decade ago. It's fallen out of what little relevance it had really. It's a shame, the games are really fun and only needed a few tweaks for multiplayer balance. I think it could work on the Switch.

Custom robo 3ds was good but not as good as the GC version. I agree OP one on the switch would be fucking amazing if they played it right.

psst

Nigga, I fuckin' love Custom Robo, but you finna suggest a new Custom Robo with TWO features that it already has, and then two components that would be entirely necessary for it to succeed in the modern day.

Here's some better suggestions:

>Have the layouts of arenas simply be just that: the layout. Allow switching out arena tiles sets for variance, such as the Chinese Beef Bowl stage with the Bathroom tile set.
>Rather than multiple slots of weapons that are very similar, such as the L/R and Normal Gatlings, simply consolidate weapons into a single slot and allow people to select the firing variant of their choice.
>The robos certainly need a more pronounced way to be visible while playing -- colored silhouette, more pronounced colors upon the robos while muting the color of the arenas, et cetra.

Man I should really play this more, I tried it out for a few hours earlier this year and liked it but never came back.
I should stop buying games for a while.

>mfw i found out there were custom robo games on the 64

I went undefeated online in this because I used dark ray and the illegal purple gun that shoots in the air and falls down on you're enemies. It was so fucking overpowered I steamrolled people in hundreds of matches undefeated. Not joking.

>niche game with a sequel that flopped
>"billion dollar suggestion"

Nigger do you even know how much a billion dollars is? They'd be lucky to make 1 million after payroll if it was mildly successful.

OP I really don't want to say this but a new Custom Robo game would make pre-ironic weeb Neptunia dollars.

Didn't Gundam Breaker 3 basically do this game, but better?

>idea guys

>Look up the company because of this thread
>Pretty much just phone games alongside whatever else they do that isn't games
>25 employees as of March this year
>10 million Yen of capital
Even less hope really. Nintendo would pretty much have to bankroll them entirely and assign a decent amount of development staff. They were ambitious, and successful I'd say, but it's time has passed.

V2=Revolution>>>Arena
Arena's artstyle was awful

This is the only JRPG I know where the whole game is tutorial, and where you can act like retard and give away the game's most important plot item just for the game to tell you to fuck off and go get the item back at the end.

Did you 100% it?

Nintendo never made Custom Robo
They only publish it and own the IP
NOISE has 25 employees and now makes mobile games

I know Koizumi said that the younger staff are doing new IPs as non traditional Nintendo IPs but I wish that some of them could look into neglected IPs and find a way to make them work again

I'm still mad they chose to abandon Custom Robo.
Guess it paid off in the end now that they're working on Dragon Quest, but still.

>mfw going super high as funky head and spamming literally everything

OpenWorld

Low sales user
Low sales

It was apparently sustainable enough, and their first several years in mobile and niche games seemed to be an absolute flop they barely managed to survive.

nah
>loot boxes with robo parts
now there's a kicker
>buy our special illegal parts box only 9.99!

You mean like the Medabots battle games?

Custom robo should have been a main Nintendo ip with how good it was. Fuck, it was fun as shit. Sword gun is best gun

kek degenerate

Who is the best Robo and why is it Chickenheart?

>Not playing the more fun version of the game

>played it again on Dolphin a year or two ago
>it ran
>except it would crash after roughly 15 minutes, sometimes less
>that fucking part with the traps and multiple variable fights before a save point

This guy knows what's up. It's a shame about that voice acting though.

save states nigga

I loved this game. The battles, the robos, the silly story, all of it. Fucking masterpiece.

Getting actual kids to voice kid characters is almost always a bad idea. Especially since it sounded like they just got random kids off the street.

Poor deluded moron

Lottery; If a continuation of this game comes out I'd buy a Switch and the Game. Like how I bought a ps3 for MGS

Isn't that game rare as all fuck to actually find?

>nintendo
>making good games
wrong timeling OP, now shut up and enjoy your bing bing wahoo and gay femboy collectathons

>Everyone whines they don't make a new Custom Robo.
>Meanwhile no one knows this one came out and it didn't sell.

No one to blame but yourselves

>Especially since it sounded like they just got random kids off the street.
Thought the exact same thing. What's even worse is you can only mute the kids by turning off the sound effects. Definitely some of the worst voice acting I've seen in a game that I've played.

Nah some of those parts were hard to find.
>The chicken robo
>Rahu's parts require you force yourself into a wall
I got far but didn't find the hidden things.

I always wondered why Bandai didnt make this game and make it Gundam.

This was Gundam Build Fighters before it even came out.

>only standard, regulated parts can be unlocked
>illegal, stronger parts can be purchased

I could see some mechanic around penalizing a player using illegal parts somehow, but this would actually make a lot of sense since the developer is making a black market in-game.

Just emulate it in Dolphin. It works pretty much perfectly. Though honestly the game is a bit of a grind, the combat is fun if a little lacking in complexity. It could have benefited from a more engaging story mode.

How does the combat work in this game? Is it like Virtual On? Is there enough complexity like a fighting game or is it just a button masher?

>tfw I bought LBX in hopes it would capture the same spirit

3D arena fighter. Jumping, dashes, tackles/charges, guns, bombs, pods. There's more complexity in the loadouts and equipment you can use than in the combat itself, but the stages help alleviate that, and the combat isn't bad just very same-y. You also unlock a pretty useless first person mode after you beat the story I believe.

What was LBX like? It looked interesting

Remember that I found out about it in Nintendo Power when it was released for NA. Looked super interesting and right up my alley. Bought it and played the shit out of it, friends did too. Recently loaded it up on the Wii and it's still a great game, if a little rough around the edges. If Nintendo would pick them up and help publish something for the Switch, I know plenty of us would be all over it. It's one of those IPs that could actually benefit from updated graphics while retaining mostly similar gameplay. It can retain all the cheese it wants, that's what gave it any semblance of charm. Finding builds that you could use to win without being a cheap Rahu III motherfucker was always so satisfying.

Plus, of course, the microtransactions meme must be mentioned in the year of our Lord [current year].

>No Custom Robo Switch
>No Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles Switch
>No Four Swords Switch

Posting best boy

Share your top tier builds. I need to bully friends.

>No Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles Switch
I just want a version of CC that can be played multiplayer without forking over lodsemone.

what an underrated gem

Honestly I wanted a Wii U version because
>Gamepad
>3x 3DS
Boom!

But Nintendo fucking hates me and the Wii U.

All Crystal Chronicles besides the 1st one are painfully mediocre anyway. They should just stop.

Not top tier, but
>Chickenheart
>Flame Gun
>Cresent, Straight or R/L Flank Bomb
>whatever Pod
>Short Thrust, Wide Jump or Ground Legs

Peregrine body with Swallow legs, and you can bully with nearly anything else you want. I think I liked the Wall pod, Freeze bomb, and Knuckle gun to pummel things while not being too illegal.

see
>Peregrine
>Stun gun
>wall bomb
>spider pods
>Ground feet

You'll have more than enough speed, tight turning, bombs and pods to block off routes, and you shock their asses off.

Are these legal builds?

>that post game boss rush
>Blue slut just about to confess to you

I did
It was alright but hated the main girl's design and didn't care for Dennis's either

Peregrine with formula leg part + shotgun.
Any of the homing pods to distract while you get up close.
I never used bombs much though.

here
Swap out the Swallow for Formula and you'll be legal. Get ready to get up in bots' faces. Better yet, when 2v2, have teammate equip Stun gun so you can both be cheap assholes.

I'm a Strike Vanisher player, so
>Glaive
>Drill/Vertical
>Delta/Submarine
>Wave
>Feather
This build doesn't do a lot of damage unless you use the Submarine bomb, which is kind of hard since it's slow. I usually chip people out, and then if they get too close I teleport away/Charge them. I find the charge on the Glaive to be pretty good. Really, the bombs and pods are the star here, you can swap the gun for anything, the Drill is fun for pulling people into your subweapons though.

i bought it but the overworld was the fucking ugliest i have ever seen

Custom robo already is my waifu so fuck you

custom robo would be so good for switch, please nitendo

t. Harry, one day you'll get a girl
