>"WHAT THE FUCK EA YOU'RE A CORPORATE MONSTER"
What is wrong with you hypocritical retards?
>"WE WANT GAMES WHERE YOU HAVE TO WORK FOR CHARACTERS"

>"WHAT THE FUCK EA YOU'RE A CORPORATE MONSTER"
What is wrong with you hypocritical retards?
here's your (you)
I thought the new battlefront came out like last year?
What was that starwars game I saw everyone playing...?
It looked pretty average.
whom doth quote. also 18+.
>"WE WANT GAMES WHERE YOU HAVE TO WORK FOR CHARACTERS"
>we want games where you have to work for characters
>not games where you can either work for characters or spend $60 to have them served to you on a silver platter
>with wine if you bump it up to $80
Yasuna a cute
>EA releases game where you have to work for characters
Yeah, you need to do some work in a job to be able to get access to the characters
>EA encouraging you to work hard at your job and further your career
based EA
So don't pay for it and just get the base version. This isn't a problem.
>just let that whale fuck you in the ass with his bought upgrades making your time with this game miserable bro haha it's totally optional haha just play the game totally optional :^)
EA GO AWAY REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
Who are you quoting?
Even then, I'm pretty sure they may have been talking about working towards a character in the match. Earn the points by doing well and spawn in as a better character in the same round. Also heroes as random spawns on the map, not having to grind for 40 hours for a chance to play one.
That's an extreme over exaggeration. It's not that bad.
... oooooooor i could do something more worthwhile and just not buy the game at all, further discouraging EA from even thinking about microtransactional crap like what BF2 was (and still will be) in the future.
Seriously, how hard of a concept is this to grasp? You hate microtransactions? Don't buy games with them. No "oh but they are only cosmetics". No "but they removed them so its ok now". If the game EVER had microtransactions, DO. NOT. BUY. Trade in games that have them added in. I know that means like 90% of console gamers will have literally nothing to play, but if that encourages console gamers to then move to a far more economically competitive platform such as PC, then great!
>haha this whale bought level 4 starcards making his fighters faster, do more damage and have more health haha totally optional you don't have to buy it just let somebody be better than you with upgrades for monetary currency haha :^)
>work
you can literally just idle matches and get currency
Honestly the microtransactions and the time to unlock is justified. Considering that the DLC is free, people would unlock everything within a few months when the game has a shelf life of maybe 2-3 years with DLC. You people are just entitled.
Nah pham. The time to unlock was ridiculous.
>>"WE WANT GAMES WHERE YOU HAVE TO WORK FOR CHARACTERS"
said who
umm i never said that lol??
I agree, that's an even better option.
delete this post you commie
seize the means of production you capitalist whore
>40k to unlock hallmark Characters Luke and Vader
>only 100-150 for each game
Fuck off with your full priced FEE TO WAIT bullshit rampant greed you fucking hook nosed, shekel gorging monster.
Not really, I've been fishing in black desert for months trying to get gear. The amount of time in Battlefront is nothing.
>Tfw kinda want to discuss the game, as in the classes, the maps and the gun
>Every forum is infested with reddit tier faggotry "We need to push harder!"
Dont get me wrong, I get the sentiment, but at some point it should be allowed to discuss something else
So besides George Soros and this guy who else is a real life evil villian?
I liked the beta honestly but this shit just turned me off to the game.
Either someone is better than you become they play more and/or are better at games, or they're better than you because they paid to do it.
What's the difference? Either way you're getting beaten.
forreal free dlc and you don't have to pay for maps just heroes. I've made 10k so far just playing and getting all these milestones done
>I'm autistic so everyone should suffer
How about we discuss the fact that all the maps are in a forced rotation, so you can't pick what era you want. So your forced to play the fucking Nu-trilogy even though I want only Clone Wars. I don't want Nu-Tatooine or Nu-Hoth, I want Kashyyyk and Kamino.
Yes
>Actually kind of looking forward to the game
>Know nothing about heroes being locked just thought you could randomly play as them like in the first game
>The plot turns out to shit as well
Man what a shame.
I think they do this so that the pool of players is a lot bigger since they're not spread out into a bunch of different modes and specific maps. I miss the old way of matchmaking in games, but I understand why it's the way it is now.
I'm sorry that you feel like you're shit taste is being excluded.
If the game lets you buy unlockable characters, then unlocking them normally will be made as tedious as possible so as to make you pay for them instead.
That's the problem you don't get you stupid fucking shill, the whales aren't winning because of skill, they're winning because they BOUGHT upgrades to make them live longer and do more damage. This wouldn't be a problem if the game was made like a normal fucking vame and everyone worked up to making this shit on an even playing field but whales all have level 3 and 4 cards doing more damage and surviving more shots than a player who doesn't fund this disgusting greed.
Earning money is a skill. Git gud.
Or don't be an idiot and pay for it.
Gameplay isn't nearly good enough to be worth this. EA is the kind of company that won't back down unless they get their shit absolutely pushed in. This stuff will be in every game for the rest of time until we're paying $5 to respawn in dmc5
>hating on the new BF
Go back to plebbit you fucking commies, you wanted free DLC and you got it, now shut up.
MUH LOOTBOXES MUH P2W
Get a fucking job fucking libtards
don't pay for it*
>using your credit card and purchasing the real currency for a ton of lootboxes instead of grinding the fake 100 currency per match which can't afford the 4'000 fake currency lootbox is skill :^)
I feel you. There's a couple games I'd like to talk about but it's always REEEE INTERNET DRAMA any time they come up.
How many shit releases does it take for EA to go bankrupt? Is that even possible anymore?
EA sports games is their main food source, so long as Niggers, Spics and sportsfags exist EA wont die.
Day of the rope soon EA shill
But EA won't die if we keep giving them money.
so stop posting in kiddyshit threads without your sage you fucking dense cunts.
>we want games where we have to play for hundreds of hours to unlock the ability to have fun in multiplayer instead of just having fun at the start
Retard, that entire system solely exists to encourage spending money to speed it up. You've removed the cause of the problem temporarily, but the symptoms are still there.
Ill just leave this here
>73 critic score
I'M ONLY HUmAN, MADE MISTAKES!
I still don't really see the difference between you getting beaten because of money or skill. Hell someone can just program a robot that will be 900 times better than you can ever be and you'd probably still bitch about that too despite it all being about their skill.
Yeah so get playing then. Play one game and you ree out?
F2P BF2 when?
The metascore is even more painful considering this game minus the transaction is way better than BF1 and think BF1 got around the same score as well.
noooooooooooooooooo fuck you
push harder until all games are free
I live in new York so I have money
Considering how in game's review land anything below an 80 is "don't bother" this might as well be a zero.
Find me a quote of your first claim
>EA releases game where you have to work for characters
Seems like there was a hillarious miscomunication here, they took 'work' to mean literally go out and earn some money so you can pay microtransactions to EA. Oh EA.
COD4 = best cod game of all time
all weapons have extra attachments and stuff you needa unlock lol shit game.
Battlefield 3/4/1 micro transactions + paid DLC + DLC weapons being better than normal in0game weapons = pay2win = good game
battlefront 2 = free DLC and no microtransactions = shit game
?????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????
Thanks for the childish drama everyone it's now a great time to invest in EA and make some fun easy cash
...
>"WE WANT GAMES WHERE YOU HAVE TO WORK FOR CHARACTERS"
So why did they add the ability to pay for everything?
And put said unlocks behind entirely chance-driven "lootboxes"?
And put cooldowns on the ability to earn in-game credits from victories?
And make the manual grinds for many of these unlocks ridiculously long?
And design their entire game around this scheme so you end up paying for everything?
>'EA' is the subtitle
>"Just like slot machines!"
>Except you don't actually win money, just prizes
yeah work for it in the game not real life. i don't get why this blew up so much anyway, anyone dumb enough to buy shit from EA deserves whatever bull shit they throw at them
>"prizes"
Ahh yes look at these highly illegal slot machines located in every single store that are made for children
Oh yes please, let us use the second definition there for actual legal definitions in courts.
Oh what's this? Your kid just used a skill in an RPG that has a 5% chance of instantly killing the enemy. It didn't work! Well not the game company has to go to courts because that's gambling and illegal, son!
You fucking retards.
We didn't mean we wanted to work more hours at our jobs to pay for them.
It will take 4,528 hours of gameplay (or $2100) to unlock all base-game content in star Wars: Battlefront 2
>Not gambling
This is Sup Forums now.
It's shitty but it doesn't fall under the legal definition of gambling.
Gambling is playing a game of chance where the prize is defined as legal tender. Legal tender is a bank note or currency that cannot be refused by a company as a form of payment.
So until the government starts forcing companies to accept game content to pay your rent, you're fucking shit out of luck.
Funny how they almost managed to make a decent game just to completely ruin it with shitty lootboxes
Waaah, I have to unlock a hero waaaah
And I'm not on EAs side. I think lootboxes are fucking gay as Hell and never buy any games with shit like that. But it literally is not legalized gambling and anyone who tries to present that as an argument needs to shut the fuck up because it tarnishes the actual argument.
It preys on people with gambling addictions because it's literally gambling for non-legal tender. What, are pachinko parlors not gambling either?
why is it so fucking complicated? just trying to understand this makes me feel like I'm being swindled out of my shekels. fuck EA, fucking kikes. this shit is borderline illegal
>log in
>instantly want to buy 100 loot crates
You guys fucked this whole thing up
that Star Wars IP is pretty obscure you know, gotta make that money somehow
I played during the free trial and no shit it was
>log in
>daily crate
>open it
>5 scrap, 25 credits
th-thanks papa EA
why did you post the exact same thing in another thread?
EA and DICE made a huge mistake with Battlefront 2's monetization, and handled the controversy in the worst possible way, they rejected criticism by labeling people as "armchair developers". They only had to implement a fair microtransactions system with cosmetic items and make a compelling multiplayer experience for everybody to take part in the Star Wars universe and have fun. Instead EA created a system that leans (although I am not quite sure of it) on pay to win practices like those of mobile free to play games, and they damaged the image of the Star Wars IP. I am pretty sure Disney execs are not happy about all this controversy, but in the end all that will matter is the flow of cash (or lack of) from gamers to the game
And? Games prey on people who should be doing something better with their life in general.
And if it's for non-legal tender then it's not a problem. Might as well delete trading card games too if you want to stop loot crates.
Cause nobodies in that thread dickweed
>Might as well delete trading card games too if you want to stop loot crates
Good.
The reason why the microtransacitons are considered 'pay2win' is because of the obscene amount of time you have to sink into the game in order to get the same high level shit as some jackass that spends $50 on lootcrates and gets lucky.
I don't play games that have cosmetics only lootboxes either. That shit's what started this all and people accepting that is what got it this far to begin with.
Good, I hope you all enjoy what you brought.
40 hours to unlock a single character isn't fun
it's labor
plus you can just buy the character with real money so that "unlocking" thing isn't true
it's a paywall
and even then youre relying on RNG to hopefully get something nice
I was playing devil's advocate.
This.
>What the fuck, I paid full price for this pizza, why should I pay extra for toppings?
wow a bunch of people who never played it zero bombed the website, I guess the game sucks
The game is actually pretty fun. The MTX only make it better. I usually try to limit my purchases to $300, at least initially, but I've already put at least $400 into it last time I checked. Maybe if you aren't really a star war's fan I could understand not wanting to play this game, but for most people this should be a must buy. It's only going to get better when the playerbase explodes over the holiday season.
>Why should I pay for random toppings that I might not like.
Fucking EA apologist.
I didn't think it was possible to eat pizza homosexually
LOL
