ITT: Weapons/items that trivializes the game
Crescent Falchion in Demon's Souls
...
Halo CE pistol
The laser rifle goes from being mediocre to being the only weapon you'll ever need once it's fully modded.
+ gep gun
...
>yfw brimstone + tammy's head
...
Lazy Shell
...
Dark Sword in DS3
DS1 black knight halberd
Costly Punch materia in Crisis Core.
after like 4 neuromods, this thing became op.
>what is the holorifle
>what is pew-pew
Granted, this is much easier to get.
...
pew pew uses 5 energy cells for every shot. it's not a good primary weapon, it's for desperate situations when you're about to die.
Then you pick up soy milk
>rare as fuck
I think not
at least it was a massive pain in the fucking ass to get
Just because it's rare dosen't mean it dosen't trivialize it
ive actually gotten Brimstone more than once from the first floor boss
...
Getting one of the secret t3 weapon techs in Endless Legend = automatic ez mode military victory. Especially at the start of the game when everyone else is using iron still.
...
...
Got here to say this. MegaMan classic games were really bad about this.
>Elec Beam
>Metal Blade
>Top Spin
>Pharaoh Man's weapon whose name I forget
I thought that was a giant bumpy red orc dick from the preview
Holy shit I forgot all about this
>tfw using this to slaughter all of the dragon asses when they all still had an aggro range
>prepatch Dark Souls was a wild ride
Crissaegrim
I never actually used it outside of the final battle.
This thing does way too much fucking damage, even with nothing in melee
It turns Risen from a game about position and timing, to a game about having enough mana potions on hand.
...
The fucking grappling hook in dying light, why would they put an item that turns you into fucking Spider-Man when 75% of the game is based around climbing and parkour
...
The Hunter's Axe as well. Its charged R2 outright demolishes half the enemies in the game.
>literally the last weapon you can acquire in NG
What?
It can drop from the halberd BK in darkroot basin
You can get it before even fighting the gargoyles
...
was going to post this.
wasn't it a 5% chance to drop from a non-respawning enemy?
Yeah, but that still means you could get it
Final Fantasy VI is far more trivialized by Merton, as long as you equip your party with fire-absorbing shields. You can pull the same gambit in Final Fantasy Tactics with calculators and Holy.
...
...
Makes you wonder why the triads couldn't beat the conspiracies. Tracer had cybernetic tech and the best weapon in the world? Why did he just sit on his ass? This is why Helios ending is always the right choice. Everyone else is incompetent.
It's a 20% chance drop at 0 humanity with no rings. It hits 70% when you have 10 humanity and the Covetous Gold Serpent ring.
There were so many ridiculous weapons in goldeneye.
I dunno man. I just can't use it because I can't stop parrying
Oddly, the point of the golden gun is that Christopher Lee is such a good shot, he can use a pretty shit gun with only one bullet and still get the job done.
Roll ultra fish with trigger fingers and become as gods.
>soy makes you weaker
What did Edmund mean by this?
*ruins your boss fights*
>CELES
>SABIN
>SHADOW
>Relm
Triggered.
>gimped version of series' PLUS, also disallows other optional parts
AC1 is where all the balance-breaking shit like 4K-damage sword waves, Karasawa rifle, grenade arms and Finger MG were at.
*forgot also PP's Large Missile (the tiny ones, not the original).
*2 shots a deus ex*
>H-HE'S FAST!
Well getting chaos that early is really rare
Good one, user
please tell me this was a joke and you know what 'trivializes' means
i got one from each of the halberd knights before the endgame. luckily i played a considerable amount of the game before going into the basin because i didn't want to fight the hydra.
Soy Milk + Libra is actually amazing though
Maybe if this were fallout 3 and not new vegas, but I simply cant agree when you have the selection of guns you do in that game.
In 3, Energy weapons were leagues ahead of everything else
what are you a scrub or something? you can blow through levels with that thing. it can also beat every boss while you stand directly in front of them, except for the last one of course. the only drawback is that it takes so much ammo to kill the bosses with it you can't really use it for normal enemies. but it's much more valuable against normal enemies since frag mines exist (for bosses).
I've seen that thing in action. All the guns in the game look real good and I think they really did the System Shock type games genre good.
Anyway, when you use that wrench right you'll never run out of ammo.
>tfw hearing some cross shitter talking about how much better their tiny crucifix is than all the other sub weapons
They'll never know the real endgame weapon
My bad, I was thinking of the one from the first deus ex.
Because the best weapon in the world was JC and what JC wants JC gets.
Also Tong was an actual, full blown retard and in Invisible War it was confirmed that destroying the global communication network largely failed.

Only OP in SOTN richter mode. It's shit in other games.
came here to post this
...
...
t. has never played a classicvania
I don't remember the piss filter in this game being so...pissed?
In Castlevania 1, this thing would stun lock the ever loving hell out of bosses, allowing you to beat the shit out of them with ease. It was pretty busted.
...
Tranq gun in MGS games is the biggest gamebreaker and a sign of a casual """"STEALTH"""" player
>put platforming challenge at the end of every level so scrubs can't 100℅ the game
>lol never mind
My gunfu. God damn she's a beauty... Almost as satisfying as deleting people from reality with Triangular Gate.
...
>this triggers the Glasscasual
Scrubs will never 100% the game anyway, that final bonus level is completely fucking insane.
JARATE
Not an item but remember the Physical Shield spell in Fable: TLC? You could literally get combat multipliers x20 and x30 15 minutes into the game if you skilled it first and just went to the hobbe caves with literally any weapon. It made the game insanely easy. I'm talking shit like "Without a scratch" boasts for the Arena quest without any effort at all, just spamming mana potions.
High combat multipliers also let you get your strength maxed early on so as soon as you got to Knothole Glade you could get The Harbinger from the Temple of Avo before even arriving at the town.
Alternatively you could just sacrifice a mercenary at the chapel of Skorm at midnight and if you were lucky you could get Skorm's Bow and just 1 shot everything for the entire game since it has no max draw.
>play this again
>get this shit after a little over an hour
god damn i forgot how early this was in game. it fucking slaughters bosses even, and there are like 4 different magazines that increase it's durability x3, AND the item respawns every time you leave that part of the mall. its ALMOST as bad as the megaman blaster, but that takes literally 4 hours to farm just driving in the fucking metro. but this chainsaw only requires you to beat one boss, what a dumb decision
It's little brother the 222 is fun too
EVERYTHING in SotN is overpowered.
Even going unarmed makes you broken since your punches register twice for some reason.
try playing it with f.lux on
Anti-mat rifle in FNV; as soon as I picked one up in any playthrough, my "melee only" or "speech pacifist" or "hand to hand master" would become a goddamn Skyrim stealth archer. It was just too good, but at least the scaled up death claws and whatnot could actually stand a chance if you didn't crit them a few times before they reached you.
Ultima isn't even the penultimate in FFVI for the simple fact that MP wise it's expensive as fuck.
...
Only if your dmg and attack speed is good enough, otherwise it's boring and not that good
Is it Ryuka
This image is weird
It can drop from the knight in the basin and in the catacombs, both reachable fairly early.
You can also find lots of twinkling to upgrade it. I got mine to like +4 by anor londo
Broken as fuck, turns hard mode into a cake walk
