Some of the zones in this game are alright

That's ugly to me, nothing really stands out like other open world games. I don't get that interest in wanting to explore one of those structures in the distance, they all kind of blend together.

Not him but I did play a lot of FFXIV, and yeah a huge problem with the game is the distant stuff kind of all blending in to the same color/pattern. Not even viewfog just kind of muddy. Up close the game looks pretty alright though

I also auto resolve a ton of battles but to be fair a lot of battles are not worth your time. My guilty secret though is that i often auto resolve siege battles since i think that they are a bit of a cluster fuck.

I really wish that CA would create a new history based game and actually make the diplomacy/empire management more fleshed out.

Anyone here play Shadow Warrior 2? Is it worth getting if i somewhat enjoyed the first?
I hope there's more depth to the combat, pretty much all guns and abilities are outclassed by the first ability you unlock which is that sword thrust

I'm playing the 2nd now.
Started it and holy shit you really want to turn off chromatic abbrehvation and other stupid shit. You can barely see the game but otherwise it plays the same.

The gunplay is fucking awful and the sounds for guns is awful without any real weight after them.

Not him but Risen 3 was actually quite fun when you got into it. I have tried getting into the second one though several time but never managed it.

Because I already did that and R2/3 aren't even nearly as bad as people say.

It's not bad. Gun builds can be insanely powerful if you know what you're doing and they can be a lot more varied in execution than melee builds. Of course, that depends on your choice of weapons.
Word of advice if you're thinking of messing with guns: focus on gems that boost your crit chance and crit damage modifier, as well as rate of fire. Splash in some elemental damage or other auxiliary effects like splitting/exploding projectiles and you'll be fine.
Oh, and when you get it, I HIGHLY recommend using the Springchester. Give it an exploding mod, an increased projectile count mod and either a crit damage or crit chance mod.

Vashjir will always be the best looking zone. I honestly believe most people didn't like it because they had shit comps and couldn't see it for what it was.

R2 doesn't really get into gear until you reach the city on the Sword Coast and even then the whole thing is just a solid 5.5/10 overall, mainly due to the questionable combat and somewhat linear progression.

The two starting guns are the worst things in the entire game and quickly outclassed by nearly everything else, especially shotguns which are now insanely useful compared to that inaccurate piece of shit from the first game.

what a shame, the gameplay was getting pretty tedious towards the end of the first game, i became pretty invested into what was originally a seemingly shallow story and it actually immersed me so that was my main interest in wanting to play the second game. Hoji is great.
sounds like there's a lot more depth to upgrading weapons now but that other user made it sound like the gameplay is still bland. how is the co-op? Is it actually a co-operative campaign or some other form of co-op like a survival mode?

context, in bf4 you could attach a canted iron sight on the FAMAS and still have the normal iron sight on it, this caused you normal IS to get covered, pretty funny

I hope someday there will be a mod to disable draw distance in this game, I know it would kill the performance but I just want to see it.
