Why Does The DLC Not Being On The Disc Matter?

Just bought pic related, and was excited because it is the first Bethesda game I have owned, first Fallout game, and second openworld kinda game (Watch Dogs 2 was my first I guess) and I want to play through the Fallout series and after this I plan to play 1, 2 then Tactics then 3 then New Vegas, but I hear a lot of complaints about the DLC being on the the piece of paper and not on disc? Why is this an issue? I have SoM GOTY and those were on disc but if they weren't I don't know if I would care, unless I am missing something besides the fact you can't really get it used.

Selfless bump

It's just so anyone who buys it used still has to pay for the DLC. Scummy tactic.

Then why not just pay 60 for it or wait for a sale?

A lot of people buy the disc so they don't have to download 150gb before the can play.

Sounds pretty petty, you care basically downloading all of it anyway with the disc or the paper code

I buy non-digital games just for collectionism

>first Fallout

Jesus. Why?

Why I haven't started or why I chose this one as my first? I mean I'm only 19 so before a year ago I couldnt even get M rated games.

150gb is outrageous for any game, not only in terms for waiting for it to download but also because of how much space it takes up on a hard drive

>Secret of Mana GOTY?
Why name it GOTY and give it a NEW release when it's still the broken, buggy shitty vanilla version? Makes no sense at all

FUCK ANY COMPANY WHO DOESN'T PUT THE DLC ON DISC FUCKING JEWS

Because Fallout 4 is the worst purchase I ever made in my life.

I doubt it is that big
Shadow of Morder GOTY my nigga

>first Bethesda game I have owned,
>first Fallout game,
>second openworld kinda game (Watch Dogs 2 was my first I guess)

what third world shithole did you grow up in?Did you just start playing video games last month or something?

>a company inconveniences you and puts you at the mercy of digital distribution despite your purchase of physical media that could avoid both
>Hurr why is dis an issue?

>first Fallout game
>and second openworld kinda game
0/10

By the way, people hate this game because it's a stripped back Fallout 1 and 2, but fuck that shit. The game is still fun. To me, modern Fallout is roleplaying as a scavenger and running around killing monsters and collecting shit in rundown buildings while hacking computers to learn about the old world and its quirky stories. Play and just enjoy yourself.

I been playing games since I was a kid, unless you count Spider-Man 2 and Web of Shadows as open world this is my first open world. First thing I think of as open world is GTA which I still never played since I was below the age limit until last year. I live in America BTW.
I guess but the deal for the package is amazing considering the DLC alone is costy

>To me, modern Fallout is roleplaying as a scavenger and running around killing monsters and collecting shit in rundown buildings while hacking computers to learn about the old world and its quirky stories.

Way to miss the point by five miles, kiddo

Because you are trying to regulate who can enjoy your game and how. The used market exists for a reason. "If you want the game, why don't you buy it new" is an ignorant, ill-conceived response.

Of the game, or the thread? I know I'm not on topic but OP said this is their first Fallout.

Are you like 12 or something?

Of Fallout.

being under the age limit is irrelevant. Unless you have SUPER strict parents normal people play M rated games after the age of like 10, even if they have to go to a friend's house or something.

Dlc becomes one time use. Fallout 3 and new Vegas let you install dlc as much as you wanted to. My one friend bought the dlc disk and gave it to 3 of my poorfag friends offered it to me but I already had it. It is anticonsumer and more people should be upset about anticonsumer practices or things just get worse.

>Sounds pretty petty, you care basically downloading all of it anyway with the disc or the paper code
I'd rather not use my own bandwidth when there is literally no reason why I should. On-disc and server download are not even close to the same thing. And what of people who want to enjoy the game but do not wish to purchase home internet access? I know plenty of people who fill this group. "Well, they shouldn't worry about it in the first place" is the typical response to this, and it is pretty goddamn dumb.

I agree, fallout is about side stories and main quest. But Bethesda has shown they can't do good story since Skyrim. So this is how I choose to play their newer games.

But the used market is pretty much shafting devs, I can understand why the used market helps the consumers, but I don't blame companies for opposing it
College student
I never did, I tried playing Bioshock at my older cousins house and my mom found out and I never got a chance to. This is the same woman who banned me from watching Naruto because it had "demons" until I convinced her. So yeah, I had strict parenting. The only M rated game I played before I was 18 was Halo 4 because the enemies are aliens and not people
I understand, I just dont think it is as big of an issue
I mean, why not just get the game digitally then?

But here is the answer. They didnt want to spend money on another Master disk or They had in Stock so they change the case add the code.

>This is the same woman who banned me from watching Naruto because it had "demons" until I convinced her. So yeah, I had strict parenting.
Fallout 4 is garbage and I want to hear more about your unhappy childhood

I wasn't allowed to play m til I was like 10 or 11 and my mom was really against it cause they let my brother do it and he said fuck all the time. I had a hidden copy of vice city and gta sa I got used though as well as hidden hustler magz so my mom's proactive attempts of stopping jewish corruption weren't enough. She just kind of gave up eventually cause she knew I wasn't getting into trouble anyway. Once games started being more online focus though M rated multi-player games made me a Chad around age 13/14 cause I played football and then came home to play call of duty with the team all night making nigger jokes and such as kids do.
>tldr if your brat is yelling at school friends on xbl let them yell it'll make them more cool if it is some dumb random he's yelling at like an autsimo discipline them.

Not trying to play devil's advocate but how many GB can BluRays actually hold ? Isn't the limit like 100 or something

I can understand that sentiment, I dont know if Bethesda made a statement about it, but I am curious if they did
Not much to tell, I was watching Avatar and she called the bending witchcraft until I let her watch an episode or two with me and she saw it was a warm hearted show with great moments. I wasnt allowed to watch Cartoon Network at all because she called the cartoons on there raunchy. I wasnt allowed to watch Spongebob either because she said he was gay and weird. Whenever it came on I had to watch something else, usually Disney Channel. Wasn't until I was like 8 or 9 until I could watch CN or Spongebob. She also tried to throw away my manga when I was 13 because she read one or two volumes and saw the fanservice. I convinced her not to but it was stressful.

>made me a Chad around age 13/14 cause I played football and then came home to play call of duty with the team all night making nigger jokes and such as kids do.

Wow what a fucking chad he is look at him,Yavurun dolu aq

>strict parents
>sons still become's a weeb

surprised she hasn't killed herself yet tbqh

>ten yeara from now
>oh boy I feel like a huge faggot today so I want to replay or buy a sealed copy of Fallout 4
>"New" copy has the DLC on it
>Open it and see the dlc is just on some cardboard paper
>Try to redeem it
>Sorry, Xbox Live and PSN are forever down for these systems lol
This has happened on many occasions. Physical DLC codes DO expire and I'd rather have the DLC on the fucking disc where I can access it instead of on some flimsy, useless paper.

This happened to me when I bought a new copy of the Infamous collection pack a few months ago, yeah that sucks

It isn't that big of a deal, but some people said the same thing about horse armor, then about tf2 keys and hats, the invasion of Poland in the eyes of Americans before they got involved in the war, the introduction of call of duty points wasn't a big deal in mw3 and now they are used to loot boxes in lobby. It may not be a big deal now but when it becomes standard and is more annoying to you and all of the younger people who have grown up with it and are accustomed to it defend these practices rabbidly and act like your entitled for not wanting dog shit cause all they've ever witnessed is dog shit then it'll be a problem.
>tldr sleeping on your neck isn't that big of a deal but if you do it every night for 10 years you're gonna start seeing it as a big deal cause it's grown into a whole new problem.

>GOTY Edition
>Game of the Year
>Fallout 4

On what planet?

I been sleeping on my neck for years user

are u 12

Dude Naruto does have demons your mom isn't wrong. They used blood for the summoning jutsu and Naruto even has a 9 tailed demon fox in him like nigga what? Granted the US version has lunchboxes and apples instead of kunai to the hand but to say the story doesn't have demons or is at least based off them is ignorant. Yugioh does as well a literal pentagram they sell their souls to after losing losing a card game in the later seasons seal of oraclecous. I remember as a kid everyone wanted that card and they finally released it after we were all grown and didn't give a shit anymore lol

I'm not saying they don't have demons, but she compared them directly to Lucifer and Satan and how Naruto was praising demons and the show was going to infect my mind with the Devil's thoughts and cause me to want to kill people and turn into a mass murderer.

Pic related. Protip roll your neck and then do the windmill with your arms to relieve all that shoulder pain you have. Also out your hand behind your head like your favorite animal characters do and hold that position while laying flat on your back.

Ah that is true the Christianity parallels are few and far between but that dude with the scythe was basically a devil worshipper but we're talking part 1 I guess. Regardless your mom's thoughts weren't baseless lol. You probably have already seen this but if not youtu.be/1KERcDoInUg

Yes I know about my nigga Sesler, used to watch him when I was a kid back when I thought Youtube was edgy and would play WoW and watch Youtube all day instead of going outside on weekends. I guess they werent baseless but were kinda exaggerated and one-sided

>dumbass 19 year old thinks he knows anything just because of the context that he lives within.
Fucking lol. You were 9-10 when Fallout 3 came out. Probably weren't born for Fallout 2 and sure as shit weren't born for Fallout 1. You don't know shit because you haven't seen shit.

Guess you realize how right your mom was after rereading all this. My mom was protective too user I used to hate it but the older I got the more I understood. It just is drawing a line between letting the babies grow enough on their own and keeping satanic molochian agendas at bay and in a world like ours sometimes that can be a hard line to draw everyone has their own view I suppose. Go tell your mom you love her user and then go have a good Saturday stay at it do your best etc. Oh and maybe you should tell your mom Osama bin Laden loved Naruto just to russle her Jimmies.

I'M SO MUCH OLDER YOU GUIZZEE
You sound like the women I fuck age means nothing your cozy life in America is nothing to what the 2002 war was like. Men dig their Graves and die in them while you played GameCube and ate mini dorritos in cans. You have not experience look in the mirror you are what you hate
