Nice generalization, we get good threads about mainstream releases like Breath of Wild and Mario Odyssey all the time. People call genuinely shit mainstream games, like Fallout 4 and Bioshock Infinite, out for being shit here as opposed to the casual hugboxes on other sites.

FO4 because of it's shit story and "muh RP", it's a short step above mediocre in the game play department if you look at it from the perspective that it was designed to be a sandbox with a lot of shit to play around with first, and a more story focused game 4th. Maybe in FO5 they'll ditch adding the trappings of a story so they can focus on refining the sandbox elements.
