The samedi missions seem really tame in comparison to the Brotherhood and Yakuza. Like I never got the same sense of necessity doing them it just felt like killing a bunch of stoned college kids

I have it on steam. I enjoyed it on the PS2 and want to play it again, but i don't feel like fixing the mess that is the pc port.

Pretty much. They seemed like a tacked on diversion. Not a bad diversion, but the Brotherhood and Ronin arcs had some real pathos that was hard to top.

Despite how buggy SR2 is, it's still a damn fine game.

It has some of the most kino video game moments of all time. It's a shame that it's just so technically shit. I wonder if we'll ever get a remaster, hopefully not a remake since it'll just get turned into a parody of itself like the later entries.

I want to say if they did a ground up remake, they would just reuse the cutscene animations in the new engine.

>but i don't feel like fixing the mess that is the pc port.
Just get Gentleman of the Row mod man.
It fixes most thing about the botched PC port and add a few new things.

Does it fix how jerky and fast everything moves? I've only ever played it on pc and something about the way characters move is kinda disgusting. It's like looking at a silent hill monster.

It is a shame. I'd love to see a remaster, but I don't really have much confidence in Volition in their current state since they've been giving us pretty poor offerings of late. I didn't play Gat out of Hell, but it didn't look like it was worth it, and the weird spinoff thing they made recently was not inspiring either.

FreeSpace 3 never ever.

Yeah it fixes that too.
Even adds two of the missions from Corporate Warfare

Who were the mysterious buyers Sharp talked about?

Probably the syndicate in 3

Likely Ultor. They were doing all sorts of stuff before SR2 happend

Get up.

>model a fairly detailed city with lots of unique spots and hidden areas
>fill it with worthless collectibles and repetitive side activities

I'm still waiting on an open city game where the environment is actually worth exploring and not an obstacle on your way to the next GPS marker.

And how exactly would you go about that? Exploring a city for the sake of it is hardly a bad thing.

>hating on sr2's side missions

Insurance fraud, FUZZ, and the other ones are great.

Don't mark everything worth visiting on the map, make the hidden collectibles worth hunting, or place some unique weapons or powerups in hard to reach spots, maybe some hidden side missions, something to reward the 15 minutes of climbing ladders and hopping roofs other than an unlocked radio track.

Goddamn. I always forget just how fucking ugly SR2 really is. Fantastic game but jesus, the character models especially are atrocious.

The last game I want backwards compatible and I'll be content with my xbone.

SR2 is just a bunch of grey on top of grey.

>Saints row 1 will never get a pc release
>Saints Row 2 will never get a fixed pc release/remaster
>There will never be a Saints Row game like the oirgnals
Fuck man why even live?

Also nobody died on the samdi missions
Unlike the ronin with gats wife and brotherhood with carlos

I like all the saints row games desu
3 is what Introduced me to the series
And 3 is my favorite
I just wish 3 had the pedestrian AI from 1 and 2 because it was fun watching shit unfold over one person accidentally tripping into someone

good
drug addicts deserve death

no they don't retard

Spot the junkie.

Nope, never touched any kind of drug in my life. I just don't think addicts deserve death.

I hear there's an edgy hugbox for your kind though. You should try Sup Forums.

All drug addiction is attempted suicide. Not sure who the drug addled trash is in your life that you feel obligated to save, maybe it's your mom, dad, a sibling, a friend or you're just stupid enough to believe that effortlessly caring about them is somehow going to change things.

2>1>4>3

You know it to be true lads. Also, Voxel is the best car.

You can keep being edgy but it's not going to change my stance. Rehabilitation works for shittons of people. Killing them is something only sociopathic edgelords think.

Lemme guess. Homeschooled? Believes Alex Jones?

Really miss 2 hated every thing else after it

I NEED A GANGSTA BITCH

I cant tell if you're taking that user's bait or what.

1 feels kind of hard to get back to compared to how fast paced 2 is.

GANGSTA BOOGIE

Generation X>Kryme

how to play 2 on PC?

Registered Democrat actually. I just live in a state where the meth problem has spiraled so far out of control that it's starting to affect people who aren't addicted. Desperate shitters are breaking into shit, flooding streets with pan handlers, car theft, home theft, homelessness, spread disease, harassment. They've literally drained my empathy for them because that's what they do. They don't go to the methadone clinics to get better, they go there to get their fix.

This.

2 > 3 > 4 > 1

Nah.

I really liked 2 and 3, is 4 worth it? I don't really get how they would keep the tension / interest up if you just outright have superpowers and shit

Is this worth getting on PC? Does that mod the other guy mentioned actually fix the problems it has?

I enjoyed 3 and 4 for what they were but it'd be nice to play a GTA-like game without going back to VC/SA

4 is just one giant fuck around simulator, you just have to let yourself be swept up in it and be taken for a ride

It's at its worst when it's trying to be serious and act like you, or the game itself, cares about the characters or the story

TEENAGERS SCARE THE LIVING SHIT OUTTA ME
