Is this the last good BioWare game?

Is this the last good BioWare game?

Sad to say, but Inquisition is probably on par with Mass Effect 2 at this point

nigga what

Inquisition was never as bad as Sup Forums said it was.
Wouldn't say it's as good as ME2 but it's still good.
And ME3 was a good game, the ending just fucked it up.

ME2 was actually the first bad Bioware game.

Everyone who wasn't a literal child at the time knew this

It's better than Mass Effect 1.

>being contrarian
But you were a literally child at the time, user

Before they went full autistic with the outter space meme.

>that barely playable mess full of retarded unattractive characters
>not that bad

You're either Armond White or you played it just to be fucked by that bull dude.

This

Inquisition is a good game.

It's just a certain Sup Forums audience who gets triggered because one well-written character happens to be gay.

>mfw I loved dragon age so hard
>I loved that you could actually romance your party and literally spent 1 hour in the beginning just to talk to morrigan
> I loved the dungeons and that you literally can influence all the story
>the butterfly sword looked so nice, with its glowing rainbow shit
>real nice lore shit and offering you plenty of shit to do
>dragon age 2 comes out
>oh man mage is playing fun
>what´s that graphic?
>huh? Character tied armor?
>huh? What´s with this specialization?
>huh? Why isn´t there a cute girl to romance?
>huh? why is the dungeon design etc. so fucking boring?!

Man..I looked so much forward into these games.

>having taste this shit

I liked 3 the best. Thought it was the best combo of the first 2. Despite the stupid ending. Which I still think was a bit overblown

I can't decide if I liked ME2. The story was better, and the characters are excellent. But fuck me I hated the combat. Not sure a game is good when all the best parts can be experienced on YouTube

What's so bad about it?

I'm playing through it for the first time and I think there should be more of it. It's tactical without being slow and all the weapons are extremely satisfying to use.

Nigga you gay. Blog it somewhere else.

Correct

Wrong

I remember the minor shitstorm over the streamlined mechanics, and trivialized gear. Do you?`
no u

nig please, even as someone from the ME1 > 2 fraction I can't say that ME2 is "bad"

Fuck off you fag.

Jade Empire is underrated

>me2
>good

LMAO

>It's better than Mass Effect 1.

ME2 and ME3 are about in par, 2 had a non story, 3 tried to rush too much story and fucked the ending. Gameplay 3 beats 2, but 2 had more squad interaction throughout the game. ME3 was probably the last acceptable game they made in the grand scheme of things.

No, this one was. Everything that came after it was casual shit for ronery land whales and degenerates.

Both Dead Space and Mass Effect share the same EA curse.

>the first game introduces a new concept and is generally well received despite a somewhat flawed execution
>the second game is a masterpiece, trimming the fat in all the right ways and giving you the best possible version of the game that got your interest in the first place
>the third game is so bad you just have to wonder if they made it that way on purpose, as a joke

>the second game is a masterpiece
>ME 2
>a masterpiece
I don't know if I should laugh at your stupidity or weep that you and other people truly believe so.

>dorian/sera
>well-written

This is

The hackneyed writing and potato-tier animations were really off-putting. The shit aftertaste from DA2 didn't do that game any favors either.

ME3 was not bad you're right but still I found it to be extremely disappointing for a number of reason. First one is you had a diverse and cool ten men squad in ME2 but in ME3 you got like 5 or 6 squad members at best and appart from Javik and the returning members, the new guys are not very memorable. I know quality ≠ quantity but still...

And the ending is not the only problem. Of course all your precedent decisions don't matter with the shitty ending but even before that, all the game reminds you that nothing mattered at all. Killed the Rachni Queen ? Oh nvm found another one. All decisions change at best one or two dialogues lines and some points in war effort.

Also, the writing was a bit underwhelming in general. And that fucking ninja.

...

I wouldn't say it was 'bad', but you could see the first EA-induced cracks. Gameplay-wise, they stripped out just about everything that wasn't running and gunning and even then I couldn't help but think it was because EA told them to

>the best possible version of the game that got your interest in the first place

But I liked ME1 for its clean Star Trek feeling and synth music, both of which ME2 removed.

>I couldn't help but think it was because EA told them to

No, it's the fact that most of the key writers and designers from the first and second game didn't carry on to make the third one.

Pretty much this. You could tell that with ME2 they had started to veer into the completely wrong direction.

ME1 had best story and best RPG mechanics, but the gameplay was janky as fuck and didn’t get close to good until you get better abilities. Also the Mako was shit.
ME2 has best characters and combat, but the “streamlined” leveling system left a lot to be desired. Planet mining was boring, but somewhat relaxing in a weird way.
I don’t remember much about ME3. I only played it once, but remember enjoying the combat and thought the story was fine. I thought the ending was fine and didn’t sperg out about it like everyone else.

>ME2 has best characters and combat

Wrong, 3 had the best combat

Again, I don’t remember much about 3. Cough syrup abuse is a real problem. Don’t into it.

>ME2 has best characters and combat, but the “streamlined” leveling system

Heh, all they did is remove a lot of the bullshit, so you didn't have to invest into weapons or armor skills. It's not like me1 had a skill tree or me2 removed weapons, armor system was changed but I kinda liked it. I really didn't like ME1's armor, it didn't feel like armor more like a onesie. I think the streamline in this case worked, instead of having some useless weapon skill ups you just get the upgrades you want. And instead of having like three different lines for improving utility, you just have the one.

ME3 was a shit game from start to finish. The ending isnt even the worst part. Cerberus and the ching were. Inquisition is alright game, but nowhere near ME2.

>Literally every other bioware rpg game ends
>cards on what happens to every major character to give you closure
>ME3 ends, a game where in the case of some characters you've spent three fucking games with
>No proper epilogue with closure on any character
