>TES 6 might not have alchemy or enchanting
Skyrim was barely an RPG. Will TES 6 be an action game abomination like Fallout 4?
TES 6 might not have alchemy or enchanting
Other urls found in this thread:
Skyrim was actually the most RPG of them all.
It will what else else would they put in the $2.99 loot boxes?
I'd give up alchemy and enchanting for some decent combat mechanics, but knowing bethesda, there's no chance that the franchise will ever see competent game design.
We wont have another TES until TES:O is dead
how?
I honestly wish they would ditch the RPG elements altogether and make TESVI into an open world dishonored.
no, silence this insolence.
>Joseph Anderson will make a 4 hour video about why TES 6 is the greatest cinematic hallway shooter of all time and why it's good that it's not an RPG
If i have to make a choice between Zenimax and Todd ill pick ESO.
After the last fallout i dont trust Bethesda with making any new content. Meanwhile ESO made an entire DLC about the Clockwork city.
ESO went full MK so that means it should die soon.
Fallout 4 gets outsold by New Vegas, and I guess Todd is getting sick of turning up at award ceremonies and getting jack shit
Depite being six years old, they're still re-releasing Skyrim - however complex the next Elder Scrolls game is it'll sell loads due to hype and expectation alone
Do you work at bethesda? That's the worse idea i've ever heard.
Dishonored heavily relied on level design to be fun, open world would absolutely not work
Also TES lacks all the cool mechanics Dishonored had, magic in Skyrim is literally just
>fireball
>slightly larger fireball
>even larger fireball that explodes
Fallout 4 has already topped a billion.
NV did well but nowhere close to 4s success.
why on earth would it not have alchemy?
To appeal to a broader audience, of course.
TES 6 is going to be VR exclusive. That is why they are waiting several years before making it. They are waiting for VR technology to make that next jump. I fully expect it to be a launch title for Vive 2.0
>Fallout 4 gets outsold by New Vegas
4 sold 12 million in 24hrs, NV sold 5 million in a week, and FO3 sold 4.5 by the end of 2008
They will follow the money. So the answer is yes.
why would a lack of alchemy appeal to a broader audience?
For reasons?
Don't analyze shitposting.
Source: his ass
Should have been more clear, now the initial release hype has died down, New Vegas sells more copies on PC than Fallout 4 as time goes by
It will never catch up of course, but it's something worth noting
It's like you don't see the trend Bethesda is creating.
Removing any kind of depth makes the game more approachable to people that barely play videogames. Also costs less, and the money that doesn't go into the game goes into the marketing.
Yes. Mods will never fix anything and people will pay for them. Be a neet and wanna make money? Better start leaning now and when TES came out you'll be ready.
I also find it weird that DLC is never factored into sales once they're all released
I always hated TES's alchemy system. Discovering effects is annoying, you can cheat it, and crafted potions don't stack. I'd like it if they drastically changed their alchemy system.
Ideally I'd like an alchemy system where you just craft existing potion types. The types you can craft would be based on your alchemy level. And maybe you could discover recipes or alchemy books that unlock new potions.
You have a dumbfuck tag at the Codex don't you?
TES is fuckin over man
how would ever top being a fuckin dragonborn bros?
they can't
Honestly, Fallout 4 was a marginally better RPG than Skyrim.
I'd watch it.
Really enjoy his longer vids.
>TES is fuckin over man
Implying Zenimax is going to let that cash cow go
Meanwhile in bizzaro Sup Forums
I've wanted set potions for a while, mainly for stacking purposes. Heck, if they go the Fallout 4 way and make alchemy a 5 rank perk they can keep the old alchemy system since the potions will stack instead of being a separate stack after every few potions.
Not that I want Fallout 4's perk system in TES6.
ESO pays more attention to the source material than Skyrim and Oblivion ever did, so I'm happy to have the mainline games die if it means the quality control keeps up. that, or the online team helps direct the next game in terms of story
Oh FFS bethesda PLEASE do not make TES 6 a Skyrim 2- even more shallow than the first one
Hopefully shouts will be a new type of magic.
>Alduin is dead and Parthunaax wants to teach dragons his "way of the voice"
>a couple get on board but most dragons realize this is the most boring, lifeless, uninteresting way to live ever invented.
>Instead they all form their own cults/magic academies/warbands and teach the voice to their newly minted army of shouting humans/elves
>shouts just become an advanced type of magic study and they greybeards just stay mad on their mountain.
Also shooting the shit with Parthunaax was comfy as fuck. Every game should have long winded conversations with a dragon.
>them chubby characters
it's not a sex thing i swear, but having everyone in the world be in the best physical fitness is very hard to look past sometimes. we need some variation to body types be it decrepit old dudes or jolly fat nords
ESO is the first game where i feel the lore community won.
When it came out it wasnt great, there were many plotholes and genral inconsistencies.
But slowly and sureley the lore community pulled Schick on their side and now we got Sotha Sil referencing Vekh failing to Amaranth and talking about the concept of the prisoner openly, we have direct references to PGE 1 and fucking Reman Era space travel.
It feels good to win for once.
You are expecting too much from of Bethesda.
Here's your (you) that you got me to post
The Morrowind expansion saw a huge jump due to nostalgia and a new class and it soon returned (3 weeks) to pre launch levels.
With the clockwork city there was a small bump post launch and the playerbase has shrunk to pre Morrowind levels.
ESO is not dead but it is circling the drain.
To be fair it has done very well considering how it started.
It had a good run.
>levels only make enemies use better armor/weapons
>dialogue restricted to yes/reluctant yes or accept quest/hesitantly accept quest depending on context
>player made dlc will be called CHIM in universe and everyone in town will ask you why you haven't been using your CHIM if you haven't installed mods lately
>karma system is in and goes up when you kill bandits and goes down if you make essential NPCs fall over
>you can climb that mountain over there
easy GOTY
i am. which is why i said id rather the series just drop dead with what dignity it has left lest another fallout 3 or 4 happen
>no character creation
>takes place in skyrim again
>creation kit given only to select modders who agree to work strictly in creation club
>loot crates
>internet connection required
>>player made dlc will be called CHIM in universe and everyone in town will ask you why you haven't been using your CHIM if you haven't installed mods lately
Todd...
Other than Morrowind I cant think of any Elder Scrolls games that made alchemy that viable of a skill to even use
it is essential in ESO, but the gameplay is a bit different
paralysis potions were pretty useful in skyrim
maybe they could design just one level really big?
After the shitshow from FO4‘s creativity club, I‘m more concern about the modding potential of TES6 more than the core game itself.
good for making early game money and that's pretty much it
>Make essential NPCs fall over
Lets not kid ourselves. In the next elder scrolls they will make it where every friendly/neutral npc can only be knocked over.
thats what an open world is tho?
desu alchemy is shit in Skyrim I never bother using it.
>level 100 smithing means 40+ damage and 100+armor
>level 100 enchanting means extra 40+ damage for your weapon and countless buffs
>level 100 means you make some single use poison that you can dip your arrows into for like 15 damages
>full MK
hmm?
>im-fucking-plying
In skyrim you could cheat your enchanting skill to god like levels by cheesing through alchemy. I had a ring that gave me like 90k health through an hour of work.
Skyrim is the exact same as Morrowind alchemy but nerfed so that breaking it is just a lot more tedious now.
>voiced main character, restricting dialogue
>Bioware-style dialogue tree
>only human character, no other races playable
>each dungeon costs $2.99 to enter
>loot is randomized
>spend $0.99 to get the best sword
>can't kill any npc not marked as enemy
>leveling up takes real time, can spend money to buy XP
video games are dead people.
I just started ESO today. Is it worth getting into? I only paid $10 so I don’t have much of an obligation
no
Guarantee you this is bait
the endgame is entirely focused on combat but the combat is horrible, so no
the game is hideous too
>spend $0.99 to get the best sword
good deal t b h
I enjoyed it.
It needs a global Marketplace instead of guild run shops.
I know why they did it that way but it is a dealbreaker for me.
not a clue what that user means, but a lot of Kirkbride's post-canon works are now canon in actuality and serve as the basis of many quests/expansions in ESO. if you're a lorefag it's the game for you, honors every mainline and spinoff game's story contributions more than TES4 and 5 while also contributing some very good stuff itself
...
i like huntin down a good deal. kinda immersive and comfy finding guild stores out in the middle of nowhere with good shit
>being okay with micro-transactions in a $60+ game
people like you are the reasons bad things happen to good people
Big Dick Schick making ESO great again
I noticed
In the celestial warrior fight the boss straight up tells you Yokuda got blown up by a spirit sword
>Implying sermon 37 wasnt written by MK
Not just Schick my dude, but i think its his doing that ESO turned the way it did. I think it started when the original Project director switched to another project, thats when they started getting more into Deeper lore.
CWC is sort of the culmination of this. Id comapre it to Wizardry 8 more so than any other game.
>Only using alchemy for poison.
>level 100 alchemy means you can make enchantments 33% better with potions
made me think
>tfw still sucking ass at wizardry 6 then still have to play 7 before i can play 8
it hurts
>bethesda told skyrim together devs they can't release on/use steam api
holy fuck, i will never ever not be mad about this
not only that, as soon as together proves to work well outside of steam api bethesda will yank it and stick a (((better))) version in creation club
>We will never get cute looking Khajiit that look like Felynes from Monster Hunter
It even makes sense in the lore...
>Felynes
nah, they dont walk upright. youre thinking of the housecat breed. all housecats are khajiit that communicate via telepathy with other catfolk. they make good spies.
8 is a different, more manageable beast, theres no shame in starting with 8, and once youre confident you can still play the other two, if you did 7 theyll drop you at Mt. Gygas so youll skip most of the arnika bit anyway, means that youll have more content in 8 if you start with 8 rather than 6
Look up Tojay and Tojay-Raht Khajit.
Why is he trying to fuck the sword out?
Fucked up but true.
