Europeans, especially germans, are hardly "human" by our definition of "human".
So for a german there is no pleasure in playing a game for the sport of it, or playing a game to enjoy the game mechanics. The only reason why a german will play a game is to win, because they're obsessed with winning by any means.

The idea of making the currency in game extra tough to get was taken from warframe as to how a f2p game can feel AAA with a long enough grind trying to mirror the low chance resources but high requirement building just replacing the low chance with guaranteed low income and higher cost to get play time and to make it show up on top played game lists on the marketplaces

They knew that if people complained the could drop the price of gear to still profitable levels of the game, "WOW THAT'S $100 worth! I ain't buying that" into "20 bucks seams reasonable"

The sad truth is that for the majority of people who play games at least in England, it's dominated by Fifa and CoD. The only game I've seen my brother branch out to in the last few months or so is PUBG.

It almost makes sense in fifa though. Buying packs of cards makes sense. And it's confined to one game mod, which entirely revolved around the gimmick of card packs. Plus you can still be really competitive without paying anything

You buy packs of cards, like pokemon cards, and try to build your dream team. You play online matches against other people's dream teams. You get in-game coins for winning matches which can be used to buy more packs of cards, or you can use them to buy specific players using the in-game auction system

Only played the UFC 2 equivalent but Ultimate Team was actually really fucking fun. Felt like a retard when I was fighting some p2w faggot that threw spinning headkicks faster than I'd jab but still.
