who is still rocking the Vita in 2017?
Who is still rocking the Vita in 2017?
I only bought one for Persona
going to buy one since it's cheap now and it finally has hacks. been waiting until i get one to play persona and gravity rush.
do emulators run well on it?
I have one, but don't use it very much.
Me
We all moved onto the Switch.
bought one 5 years ago its a piece of shit
Not having project diva. Sage
It sucks being a vitabro because I can't find a replacement usb cable because everyone only stocks 3DS shit but at least it outlived the entire lifespan of the WiiU
Me. Probably gonna get Resi 2/3 and Silent Hill on this soon because PS1 emulators suck dick
I love my vita!
Not Sony
You are using oclockvita, right, Sup Forumsita bros?
Nah, i cant play ronpa3, darkest dungeon and undertale on pirated vita, too bad
Though some are fine, persona, ffx and 2, dragon crow, gravity, disgaea, rayman stuff. Not lots of games but i ve completed already all nds psp 3ds games, and switch has no games yet
Go to sleep
Yo.
got a PSTV just to hack it
Kinda wish I had the handheld model though.
My girlfriend has one. Played it for Project Diva and hasn't touched it since.
I think it was updated though. Is every firmware softmoddable now?
>buying a system for risk of rain and minecraft
No, it's only up to 3.60. 3.61+ hacks will take years to be available
>not buying it for anime tie-ins
But the vita uses a micro usb cable you can get those anywhere. And if you wan't the adapter part you can get them on amazon.
Bought a PSTV and hacked it
It's pretty good
I've bought a ton of games for it but haven't played most of them. I bought Demon Gaze 2 and still haven't played the first one. I have a problem.
Have Japanese color Vita slim and PSTV, both hacked. Didn't play much, I miss the simplicity of PSP's drag and drop into ms0, simple XMB, simple everything. Making a bubble on Vita is a pain in the ass.
Borderlands 2 plays like shit on the vita
You mean with installing games? Are you aware of pkgi? It's basically the Freeshop on Vita
I’m glad I kept it legit since launch until today. People shat on it so much but it stood firm and still delivers plenty of quirky unexpected low profile weeb vidya, just like the PSP.
I look back on this backlog worth a tousand bucks worth of games mostly purchased on sales and my only worry with it now is being able to play all of them before the console dies on my hands or PSN turns off its storefront. this backlog is absolutely worth it, even though it’s mostly because I can’t play most of these ports on Steam since my PC performs worse than the Vita
Most of the Western stuff is my brother's. Not pictured is Undertale and Fate/ Extella.
do it, Demon Gaze is pretty much babby’s first DRPG so don’t worry over getting too busy with it
Not Sony
Going to force myself through Persona and it'll probably collect dust until I want to play portable Project Diva
>Going to force myself through Danganronpa and it'll probably collect dust until I want to play portable Project Diva
Fuck I'm tired
The release of V3 got me back into it, actually. Working on Dokuro and Va-11 Hall-A at the moment.
>not western Sony
fixed
the games that matter keep coming regardless of their support
Project Diva is ten million times better on the Vita than the PS3.
Slowly working my way through a bunch of vidya. My current focus is Front Mission 3.
3.61+
FUCKING
WHEN
Give it 5 hours
I'll start a timer
Post your vita pages.
I went full autist
My home page is the default. The bubbles don't make it look good.
Oops.
...
At least you're organized
>shift between pages
>the background becomes default during the transition
We need an breakthrough to customize the native UI
So you are a faggot than?
>still no recent games piratable
At least we can use microSDs now
Right here. Using it less now that I have a Switch, but still my hardware of choice for shitposting in bed.
Is this viable by any means?
wololo.net
hell yeah
Buying a Playstation TV off craiglist in a bit to play Persona 4.
What are some other good games?
I only just got it in June and I absolutely love it. Traded my 3ds in to get it and it was one of the best decisions I ever made. Partly because that 3ds had new firmware and I've since bought one that I could, and did, put CFW and Freeshop on.
Just bought one off ebay actually. I have very little interest in Vita exclusives but it is by far the best portable PS1 emulator I've ever used. The ports it has are really nice on the go, and the other retroarch emulators aren't that bad as well.
I don't understand how anyone could like the Vita and not the Switch, unless you were one of those Gaf subhumans who only bought the system to give more money to Sony.
I'm very excited for a future where these mid-tier Japanese devs make portable-friendly RPGs, dungeon crawlers and VNs for the Switch. One system combining the devs of Vita and 3DS games is perfection to me, the brand of the device doesn't matter.
Explain please lad.
Still using mine to work on the backlog, plus waiting on Ys8 to get unfucked (it's been over a month, where's my localization fix NISA?).
Waiting to see if Sony wants to do a Vita successor or not, otherwise I may just get a Switch next year to continue my portable indie-machine fix.
>like the Vita and not the Switch
>Japanese devs make portable-friendly RPGs, dungeon crawlers and VNs for the Switch
Sure, i'd be happy if that happens, but 3rd party Switch is underwhelming as fuck so far
I hope whoever is responsible for this had their entire family die of aids.
It's a nice alternative. I'd like the native UI to be modifiable so we could change the background default to an image or something, but I'll try this for a bit. This doesn't have support for background music right now, right?
Killzone Mercenary and Virtua Tennis 4 are good for the PSTV and Danganronpa Ultra Despair Girls and Bullet Girls 2 look especially good on the PSTV. Maybe Ridge Racer too, but you'll want to be sure to get the 544p hack for that.
I haven't used mine in 2 years.
Reporting 64gb with a shit ton of downloads ranging from East to West Indies to somewhat AA first party stuff and Crossbuy been playing Helldivers online which is still alive and healthy
Google Vita2SD. There is a way to replace the 3G with an SD card on those models and a way to use SD cards instead of a game in the slot. Both are relatively cheap solutions.
>Crossbuy
What do you recommend as some good stuff with crossbuy? Either ps4 or ps3 is fine.
I got Sky Force, Grim Fandango, and God of War Collection but that's about it.
How much should I be paying for one?
Depending on the title most stuff on PS4 is good, PS3 has some good one to but it's few. Hotline Miami, and Risk of Rain are some neat additions that I play also Helldiver's that used in my last post
How about Counterspy? The Vita's framerates can get into the low 20s, but it's a fun sidescroller/cover shooter
$150 max if under or at 3.60
$100 max otherwise.
Isn't it sad that the switch has a massive library of games right now compared to the Vita which has jack shit at all?
~$150 for new. Don't buy it if it's not the 1000 model.
Cheers anons.
Why do have crunchyroll?
>le ebin falseflag face
WTF I HATE NINTENDO NOW!
There's a modded version that lets you watch anything but the premium episodes without ads, so I was trying it out to see how it looked on the Vita by watching some Psycho Mob 100.
Link?
Thank you
>mfw expected the WiiU 2 Nogames Bugaloo when they first showed it
>Ended up becoming the Nintendo WiiAboo instead
I'm playing Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 in bed right now and it's fucking comfy, I love my Switch so much.
>its... its my brothers
You sound like the kid playing Pokemon in high school.
>He made me play it!
To anyone looking to import a Vita in the near future; leave it a couple of weeks. These are getting released in Japan next week, with price basically working out that you get the memory card for free.
>I'm playing Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 in bed right now
I do that with my Vita. Remote play is pretty dope.
>Freedom Wars 2 never
Thanks Sony, give us more TLOU and HZD.
I wish I had the good sense to import. I love some of the colors they get over there. Fucking Sony Jews.
Personally can't stand First person shooters, let alone First person games in general (No VR for me), otherwise I'll get nauseated. We just stockpile the games together because reasons.
Pokemon is cool, but I still can't understand the craze behind it.
>Tfw I had flashback when CodeVein had almost the exact artstyle as Freedom War, and I have to remember the cliffhanger
Why does This timeline hurt so much, I wanted it to get the Gravity Rush treatment
I got mine
Fuck.
>Borderlands 2 play like shit
I own Vita, PS3 and PS4, and I've never once even tried bothering with remote play or cross saves. I remember hearing the first impressions of remote play were bad so I've kind of avoided it ever since.
Sony is dropping PS+ support for it outside of PS4 games that happen to be cross-buy that include it come 2018.
Remote play locally isn't half-bad on some games, long as you turn on the high frame rate mode so the input latency isn't as terrible, even on games that are 30fps capped to start.
Finishing MGS2HD (93% on VR/Alternate Missions clocking almost 32 hours on this mode alone, GODDAMN)
Will use it as a PS4 remote play machine since I got a Pro just today.
It's a shame that Soul Sacrifice never got a proper second installment, which is even less likely to happen now since MonHun Worlds is a thing. Even scrapping the MH influence, a big-budget SS2 for the PS4 could make a really good ARPG in the vein of Dragon's Dogma.
Try it. Remote play works great on PS4 as long as you don't have third world/Australia tier internet.
PS3 is still kind of shit but PS4 is wonderful.
I'd be all for a new SS as long as the arenas are more than a series of flat environments and integrated more verticality/hazards.
Absolutely loved the story telling and visual aesthetic, even though it had blurry as fuck textures on Vita.
And I take it you have no source for this.
Excellent soundtrack, too.
Literally all they had to do to save Vita was invest in Soul Sacrifice like Capcom did with Monster Hunter series.
I do but I wish some western companies would as well with physical releases.
How Comcept went from that to Mighty No9 is beyond me.
