I got bored because the playerbase has very little social interaction especially for English

It seems more of monster hunter type online than a MMO

Some quick questions about PSO2, how easy is it to jump into and play and is there a ton of free customization or is it all gacha?

This game lacks so much charm the first game had

1) Super easy. Pick a class, play it, do some client orders, unlock subclasses and shit.

2) Free customization includes:
>changing eye patterns
>eyebrows
>face types
>hair styles
>eye colors
>makeup patterns 1 and 2
>body patterns (tights, thighhighs, etc) 1 and 2
>accessories 1, 2, 3, and 4
>accessory 123&4 size, angle, and position
>emblem
>character voice

Almost every outfit in the game can be bought in the player store, and a lot of them are pretty cheap too. I've gotten 2 million meseta, which is enough for a lot of the more rare (or lewder) outfits from doing a couple of missions, which were five time attack client orders (TACOs) and three extreme quests.

So rev up that google translate symbol drawing shit, do that captcha, and get ready to jump into the grindzone.

Or you could play like me with underleveled gear and solo everything by using strategy, focusing on enemy patterns, and attacking their weaknesses, instead of being a minmaxing 1-shot everything faggot

It’s extremely easy to get into, the gameplay is simple and the (mediocre, slightly more difficult to get into) story is relatively optional so you there’s not a huge ceiling. Customization is gacha-heavy (almost exclusively obtained through scratch cards) but grinding money to buy from the player market board is easy, too. There’s very little player interaction and is a solo game with servers.

It is. I just expect to meet new people who enjoy chatting in these multiplayer games but nope

I played it after the English patch came out but didn't want to keep up with the updates. Said I'd go back to it if they released it to the west. And obviously I'm not playing it now.

Does anyone fuck around with PSO2 mods? I'm trying to replace hairs in the game and every time I do they turn up invisible.

What am I doing wrong? I'm swapping the files and everything. It works just fine for weapons and weapon camos but hairs (and costumes for that matter) just do not load.

More seriously, I'd probably rather just try one of the PSO servers rather than mess around with PSO2 at this point. It's Sega's loss, given that PSO is probably the only MMO game I'd bother with anymore.

Localization will literally never happen and if it does it'll just be shitty like the SEA version which, while PSO2 was almost at the end of Episode 4, SEA just *BARELY* got into Episode 2 or 3. Then it died. Hooray.

Just go play PSO2 with the english patches. It's pretty damn fun and the patches translate basically everything that's important, and they're working on unimportant shit like CO messages.
