Nier: Automata

> I never quite realized how beautiful this world is

I never quite understood how she came to this conclusion. But, then again, I experienced this game through a streamer so I may have missed some characterization. What made her lose her murder boner for machines so easily, just interacting with Pascal?

> I experienced this game through a streamer so I may have missed some characterization
There's your answer. Watching a game through a streamer makes you miss out on a game, it's not even close to the same as playing it. You miss out on the interactions that you get to experience from actually playing the game

>watching a streamer
Why

>I experienced this game through a streamer
This is Sup Forums in 2017

>streamer
you goddamn idiot, go play the game

Her time with Pascal, and the time in the tower kind of cements how completely pointless the conflict was in the end.

Plus I guess with the tower, machine network, and Yorha all gone, the people that killed and/or left her team to die were all gone too. So she was alone at the top of the world, waiting to join the people she cared about.

It was this Joseph Anderson guy. He had some good critiques out there so I thought it'd be interesting to experience the game for the same time with him. Turns out he's a fucking mongrel who makes petty complaints and can't use words other than "cool" and "shit. I regret it desu.

...

buy the game and atone for your sins

>game that embraces being a game in how it tells its narrative
>would greatly suffer from being in any other medium

>experienced through a streamer
I feel bad for you desu OP. But honestly you didn't miss anything, A2 is underdeveloped and a throwaway character.

>throwaway character.
Delete this.

>I experienced this game through a streamer

End your life my guy

I guess everyone was throwaway.

Why isn’t there a cute androids doing cute things anime yet

wrong timeline

isekai timeline right now

A2 had been in isolation mode since Yorha fucked her. It's only in warming up to Pascal/the village, and experiencing 2B's memories of 9s, that she started to look beyond her own bitterness about her existence

That's why by the end of the game A2 is just sad but determined, whereas 9S is losing his fucking mind

Her mind was fused with 2B's when she acquired her sword.

A2 had lived a lonely miserable life of hatred and distrust ever since she discovered the secret of YoRHa and watched her team die on her initial mission, which was the story of Yoko Taro's stageplay (also hidden in an optional text only segment in Automata).

It was only after seeing the world from 2B's perspective that she was able to realize that life did indeed have meaning. Also hanging out with Pascal.

Man, getting to the last fight is so annoying. It's such a damn drag collecting weapons and finding the chapter that actually lets you do the right quests is just a guessing game.

What are you talking about? It's like you're mixing up the first Nier and Automata together.

He means ending Y

>I experienced this game through a streamer

The way you can say that so casually like it's an everyday thing completely sickens me to my core. This is what the world has come to. Fuck everything. Monetizing Youtube (and thus streaming) was the biggest fucking blunder in the history of the internet.

You need all weapons to fight Emil and the chapter select thing is pretty damn vague.
It's just a pain in general, though not grindy at least. Unless you've gotta level them up to 4, which I hope isn't the case.

Oh. Right. I skipped that and watched it on youtube. Because I'm a fucking SECONDARY FAGGOT.

It's got denuvo so not buying

>I experienced this game through a streamer
Unironically kys bud

>watching a longplay
>of this

dun goofed. gameplay is actually good. you stream movies like uncharted.

That's fine, just pirate it.

>But, then again, I experienced this game through a streamer
I fucking hate this generation so much.

>Unless you've gotta level them up to 4, which I hope isn't the case.
user.....

People don't actually play videogames anymore, do they? Who has the time? I mean, I'll play TF2 and shit occasionally, but something like this? Meh.

That's the cruelest thing you can possibly do to someone.

You can't do this to me.

Damn I just looked it up and you have to upgrade them all. This is absolute BS.

>I experienced this game through a streamer
literally kys

they did it in the first game too

thanks Taro

Not true

In DoD1 you only have to collect all the weapons, doesn't matter what level they are.

Well, at least ending E doesn't have any BS like that. And ending Y is a reference to Nier.

You don't need to upgrade them all to fight Emil in his home. You need to fully upgrade them to do his side-quest, which -SPOILER- is an even bigger secret boss.

The reason you need them all maxed beforehand is because he sells the rare materials needed to upgrade weapons, so if you did his quest before upgrading your weapons you'd be up shit creek in a massive painful grind for rare drops without his store around to get the materials.

I was talking about Nier silly

So you just need to still have him driving around like an idiot before you start it?
I've got like 11 weapons left to gather and most of them to upgrade, this better be a damn good fight,

On the bright side, it's waaaaay easier than the weapon collecting from Drakengard.

>I experienced this game through a streamer

What are the chances that a bunch of native islanders were alive the entire time, but no one bothered/could find out because they were in such a remote/tiny island that no one cared to check?

Low

Low since now Earth is tidally locked to the sun. They could have frozen to death if their rock is on the night side of earth, assuming all the other shit didn't get them.

You should be banned for admitting to watching a game like that.

>I never quite realized how beautiful this world is
How cruel to put this quote in a game that only made me feel like shit and depressed. I felt no enjoyment to continue playing this if not for me being a completionist.

If global White Chlorination syndrome and the Legion didn't get to them I imagine that the thousands of years of alien robot attacks did.

I imagine that plenty of people found out about the game through streamers or let's players. All the hype was generally word-of-mouth.

...

Who really fucking cares how someone found it if they didn't fucking play it?

Fuck you.

Shouldn't there have been an easier way to manage the whole yorha business? If they ultimately resolve to kill and recycle androids anyway, they might at well just directly edit/ wipe their brains at regular intervals instead and spare needless suffering.

they're robots, they can't suffer.

God speed, you glorious bastard.

>Shouldn't there have been an easier way
Yeah probably.
>they
Who's "they" though? I'm guessing that Yorha mostly manage their own infrastructure. And you don't want too many people in the know being part of Yorha. That would be too many witnesses. The whole war is managed by "android command", they're above Yorha. The real purpose behind Yorha may be a secret unofficial plot of a small cabal. Or it had been set into motion in an automated manner now. I forgot desu. There are some side material about that.
What an awful thing to say.

You have to hear about a game before you can play it.

Re-read my post, dumbass.
