Genuine question for people who never owned one of these.
What the fuck did you even play in 2014 and 2015?

Captain Toad and many more.
I think you misunderstood my question
Fps x42 and whatever cgi movie sony was pushing.
Wiiu is the best nintendo system ever after you put hackchi on it. Play any game from the atari to the ps1(some run great some run like shit fyi) + all handheld games up to 3ds that matter on one console
Smash Bros
Genuine question for people WHO NEVER OWNED ONE OF THESE
>never
You mean "ever" right?
phone games :^)
What? No.
I'm asking people who never got the WiiU what they were even doing in 2014 and 2015 when the WiiU lineup was fucking amazing and a whole lot of nothing was going on everywhere else. It dominated my time between my gaming PC, WiiU, 3DS, and Vita at the time.
Smash Bros is on 4 other platforms user
>the WiiU lineup was fucking amazing
What? No.
PC games
wii u is shit go buy a switch fag
I don't remember which single player games. I do know I played a lot of BF4. I probably played GTA, Tomb Raider, Batman, and the Evil Within. Again, I'm not sure
Genuine question for people who owned one of these.
How do you feel about the switch being everything the Wii U should have been and actually get support from nintendo themselves.
Literally everything except WiiU. Are you delusional?
>Smash 4
>Mario Kart 8
>Splatoon
>Bayonetta 2
>Dong Freeze
>Captain Toad
>Xenoblade Chronicles X
>Mario Maker
>Yoshi's Wooly World
Literally no other platform had that much to offer that couldn't be had elsewhere as well in 2014 and 2015 and I didn't even list them all.
Your mom.
I never had a Wii U but there are so many games that i'd love to play.
I unironically would buy ports of Super Mario Maker, DK, Xenoblade Chronicles X, W101 and Bayonetta 2 to name a few. I know the system wasn't the best but there were quite a few worthwhile games that i'd love to play on the go.
wii u was fucking amazing 2014-2015
mario kart 8, ssb, bayonetta 2, donkey kong country tropical freeze, fast racing neo, runbow, splatoon, affordable space
adventures, captain toad treasure tracker, super mario 3d world, shantae and the pirates curse, xenoblade x, yoshi's woolly world, freedom planet, tokyo mirage sessions, pokken, shovel knight. shit, and i think im missing a few (just replace the multiplats with the ones im missing)
holy shit the wii u was amazing. i sometimes forget how much dust my ps4 collected until 2017.
List more, I can't see any good titles in this list
MGSV is the only one off the top of my head I can remember that was actually released in that time frame. Otherwise I was probably going through my backlog like usual.
>presented with WiiU games
>the Sup Forumsirgin then launches into playing a game of "D-doesn't count" with all the titles
This is always my favorite part.
This console generation has been like:
2012-13 No games
2014-15 Wii U was the only worthwhile system
2016-early17 PS4 took the crown
2nd half of 2017 Switch is taking the crown
You said you didn't list them all. I'm waiting
>Fatal Frame
>Kirby and the Rainbow Curse
>Hyrule Warriors
>Tokyro Mirage Sessions
>Runbow
>Afforadable Space Adventures
>Pokken
>Rodea and the Sky Soldier Wii and WiiU versions
>Fast Racing Neo
>Nes Remix 2
An entire backlog of games I'd never played before.
>2014
Dark Souls II
Alien Isolation
South Park Stick of Truth
Wolfenstein The New Order
Shovel Knight
Evil Within
Valiant Hearts
Valkyria Chronicles
Revengeance
Transistor
+ 3DS games
>2017 is coming to a close
>2018 probably wont be the knockout that it was
>Actually ok with this because I get to do a backlog year
I've missed playing older titles because I've just had constant new games I want to play.
original lister here, i was trying to stick to 2014 and 2015 games with a few exceptions. i also really enjoyed nintendo land, lego city undercover, breath of the wild, paper mario color splash , fatal frame, new super mario bros u (and super luigi u), pikmin 3, and the wonderful 101.
>original lister
But you're not though it was me you little faggot. Color Splash was trash. Nintendoland has some OK games. And Lego City Undercover is legitimately the best modern lego title.
fuck, thought he was quoting
NSBU+NSLU
ZombiU
SM3DW
Smash4
Bayonetta 1 and 2
Hyrule warriors
Splatoon
Yoshi's woolly world
Xenoblade chroicles X
Shantae and the Pirate's Curse
Ninja Gaiden 3
Did I really word the OP this poorly?
Sorry user didn't post movies for you user.
No, it's just your query is so fucking out there that people can't actually process that you're implying the massive failure that was the WiiU was the top gaming platofrm at any point in time.
>Trying to imply the WiiU wasn't the top dog of 2014-15
So you're going all in on the revisionism meme then?
Should have made it more obvious, it's very easy to mistake something like how you worded it- why not in one sentence?
"For those who did not buy a Wii U, what did you even play during 2014-15? Honest question."
Though this board actually likes to shit on the Wii U so Nintendyearolds are always on the defense so it could be that.
It has more games today than the ps4 does and yet it has been dead for a year.
My only gripe about the Switch is how people are sucking its dick for just being the same thing but less comfortable to hold if you dock the joycons and treat it like a handheld. (Granted being able to take it outside doesn't matter to me) Once it got past the "everything worthwhile is just a Wii U port or multiplat" phase I didn't really have any issues with it but I don't think Switch is ever gonna get a game as good as Wonderful 101 or the original Splatoon.
...
>and actually get support from nintendo themselves
Nintendo busted ass and effectively gimped the 3DS in all honestly to make games for the WiiU
These are just 2014 and 2015. They had next to no third party support either so pretty much everything was developed by Nintendo.
The moment Iwata was dead Nintendo pretty much unceremoniously took out behind the shed. But it got AMAZING support for a console doing that badly. Compare it to the Xbox One and Vita and it's clear to see there was a lot more effort put into making great titles for the WiiU to try and turn things around after it was an established failure. (Whereas Microsoft just decided they weren't going to make exclusives and Sony dropped Vita development altogether)
cute!
People shit on the WiiU, but it was the last console.
Gen 7
>shit PC 360
>shit core 3
>gamecube 2
Gen 8
>useless miniPC
>meh miniPC
>simple console for easy couch gaming
Current
>miniPC
>miniPC
>tablet
Nintendo pissed in the eye of third party support with the N64 and it really hurt things for years to come for the consumer. I have a soft spot for the WiiU as the last of an era, even if I do think the PS1 was the last proper console since online in the following gen started the true change in everything.
videogames?
what strange question
I never hd the desire of owning a wiiu and never will with that garbage catalog.
I only cared about one game and that game ended ported to switch.
I got one when WWHD came out. Honestly didn't play it much during its peak years because I was too busy playing retro Genesis and Saturn games at the time. I want to go back to play #FE and XBX though.
PC, PS4, and Xbox One games.
I own both a Wii U and Switch. Bought a Wii U relatively early on for Monster Hunter 3U online play and camped for a Switch at launch. I love both systems, but I'm so irrationally pissed off at people who hated the Wii U who are sucking Nintendo's dick now that the Switch is performing so well. Outside of the hybrid features, the Switch doesn't do much more than the Wii U. I genuinely believe that the Switch's success is mostly due to marketing it as a trendy millennial gadget unlike the Wii U that advertised itself as a family console
>Xbox one
KEK
Yes.
donkey kong country returns
Smash Bros 4, then started getting gud at melee and built a PC
Good. I got my supernintendo console which can play literally every nintendo game up till this year for free, my 3DS which can play all the other games I couldn't get, and I bought a switch to buy the cool new ones nintendo comes out with till it's hacked too.
Indifferent. But I'm not sure what you mean by 'what it should have been?'
Yes it should have been interesting for some RPG dungeon stuff with friends and heads up displays for other games, but I don't think a console should be a tablet because then its not a console. Nintendo may as well be farming out an Android tablet that is shaped to fit their accessories. Probably could have gotten a lot more power for less money that way and a decent side catalog of games easily moved over to it. Not to mention tablets of that size usually have some battery life. WiiU Pro controller was also amazing as well as the only one to put both sticks where your thumbs go.
I likely will get a Switch once it has a library of games or it can be modded. Currently it has two titles of interest and one of them is on the WiiU with little difference and can be emulated with improvements.
Sup Forums is weird about the WiiU in general. The Wii got praised as this great emulation device and got a pass even though it had about 15 good games and a ton of shovelware. The WiiU just got 15 good games, and access to Wii, and the same emulation level along side great remakes of some of the best the Gamecube had to offer. WiiU doesn't have many games, no console since the 6th gen has really, but it if we are honest it had more than its competition, still sad but damn.
