>>IDEAL MMO?
FFXIV aesthetics and lore but with GW2 combat, physics, and exploration
I didn't spend 200 dollars to play BDO without frame drop. My PC build is older than 2015 in fact. If I can hold 30fps on an old ass 760 while there are hundreds of people on my screen there is no telling what you are over there playing on with your 5fps. - I'm going to guess you tried playing at low settings on your shitty laptop with integrated graphics lol.
tfw literally the only friend in my group that isn't playing Maplestory
God bless this iron will of mines fuck Nexon and that shitty game
I have a massive laundry list and autistic documents for my dream MMO but following this format.
ESO world with GW2 exploration and physics. WoW content model. FFXIV aesthetic and combat I unironically love the 2.5s GCD and GW1 progression and builds.
Is GW2 combat fun? I'm kinda ok with FFXIV combat, but that's probably because I main BLM and love me those huge burst spells with cast time. Instant cast spells do fucking nothing for my wizard-boner, it's why I hate ESO combat so much.
>elder scroll online free weekend
unf do i dare
>Needing an iron will for the shit that is Maplestory
Life is feudal: mmo
You should give it a shot. I actually think the game is shit, but the RPG side is great and it's worth checking out for a bit just to see how they do things. I don't know of any MMO more lacking in MMO though.
I'm kind of tempted but I think I'll pass
I'm really lonely and lost in finding other games to play and they make grinding their brains out in that abysmal shit sound fun
>IDEAL MMO?
Dungeon Fighter Online with Guilty Gear Xrd artstyle and an open world.
GW2 combat and mobility is so fucking fluid it's orgasmic. The mounts they just added make that times a thousand.
All my Ideal MMOs were killed at one point or another. And even they weren't that great but they were good enough for me.
rip Exteel and SD Gundam, you were too good for this sinful earth
Only a $570 value? I think they can do better than that.
Oh shit. And it can work like Maplestory in terms of travel. Just give characters high mobility when out of combat
GW2 combat feels really good but did they do any major skill adjustments from HoT onward? I only played vanilla and the actual meat of the combat was the most shallow of any MMO I've ever played.
They offer you a bunch of trash in this bundle but what you want is that special dark costume set.
When the bundles were announced people rioted when EME pointed out that these costumes were going to be exclusive for the bundles. In other regions these sets were behind some lousy gacha but you could "craft" them after some dedicated grinding, so in a way there are accessible for anyone.
EME was forced to re-add this costume's option after being caught trying to milk whales this early in the game. Also they were kind enough to not add that these costume bundles only work on the first 5 characters so the costume can't be worn/used by the upcoming characters. EME sure caught a bunch of whales with their nets crying about buying 2-3 bundles that can't be used on the newest agents.
So what do you find fun?
DFO with Tekken 7 graphics and on consoles
>WoW content model
Doesn't that involve old content becoming outdated and redundant as fuck?
Not sure what kind of mmo would be ideal to me. I like parts of several games, but don't know how to combine them in ways that make a good game. FFXIV aesthetics are pretty good, and I don't mind the combat at least at level cap. I kinda like TESO's horizontal progression thing, but would prefer it to be handled by devs that don't fuck up balance every other patch. BDO's world is also kind of pretty and lively with its many busy npcs, and I kind of like the caravan trading thing, though it'd be nicer if trading had more of an effect on other players rather than just npcs. I definitely need myself some dungeoneering adventures to stay interested, ideally more than just hallways filled with enemies. Maybe some survival shit like hunger/thirst/rest and injuries for added spice.
>IDEAL MMO?
True Fantasy Live Online.
I have a toaster laptop and need a comfy game to play, any suggestions?
>IDEAL MMO?
Darkfall economy/property/full loot mechanics with Mount & Blade-esque combat.
Does this tickle your inner /m/?

Define comfy
Anything can be comfy if you make it so
tell me about Elsword Void, why is it better
Playing Black Desert Online for a while, almost a month in and no problems so far, pretty comfy too. Maybe the only complain I have is the fucking camera, it sucks.
I wanted to get into Soul Worker or Closers but I saw shit in there that I hated from DFO namely fatigue and gender locked shit, Eagerly and hopefully waiting for Lost Ark to not be shit
>Ideal MMO
Active ERP community with no furry races and no chicks with dicks
Good art style that doesn't immediately go for generic fantasy, sound track is important, and game play that isn't all about learning whatever the raid dance is and repeating it over and over
So then everyone just plays a girl and goes yuri?
>Doesn't that involve old content becoming outdated and redundant as fuck?
That's the point of including GW1 progression. Nothing can ever become outdated.
For all people complain about Legion, I really enjoyed the questing and dungeon content in it. I hate most everything else, but every zone has a lot of hand crafted quests that tell their little stories and their take on world quests makes it easy to run into other players. Dynamic questing in XIV or GW2 is pretty fucked and gets to be really lonely.
>no chicks with dicks
lol
>tfw no one to play Spiral Knights with
do i have to play this in moon?
Me too bud.
Fuck wolfs, those assholes keep killing me way to fast.
Let this dead genre go
>tfw only JUST got into wow but despite being incredibly behind it's still quite fun
>IDEAL MMO?
SAO
It's only slightly better in that the grind is significantly reduced, at least in terms of levels. There's only so much you can do to "fix" Elsword, though.
>Ideal MMO
MapleStory ran by people like Neople.
>run 1 dungeon
>get kicked out of the game for being out of "energy points"
Gee I wonder why
>no magic
shit game, shit anime
You dont remember me
It's definitely getting there, that's for sure. I'd really have to see the customization options first to see how indepth it actually is, I'm a sucker for stuff like that. Looks promising at least.
I remember you
u dont remember me
>tfw they won't go full school days
how do they handle cosmetics

>cute girls
>cool robots
>dat shootan

Briefly popped a chub but softened again when everyone was just standing still taking pot-shots at a big thing in the background for a sad attempt at a boss fight.
My wife
That stuff hasn't been in the game for over 3 years
Nothing wrong right
That's at least as long as it's been since anyone gave a shit
Too little, too late
There's some actually decent freebies scattered around the game with various old event costumes taking the place of actual grinding rewards, but anything related to an IB would need to either be pulled with real money or bought from someone that did and that can mean endless ED farming.
LITERALLY perfect
Been playing Warframe, it's pretty good now
cool, ty user, i'll give it a go at some point
Glad to help, I hope you enjoy yourself.
>even women at their worst can be seen as better than a mans best
So many dudes would fall for this.
Insert epic "women are like playing on easyXD" joke but for real.
How grindy is it? Been thinking of picking up a game to play with friends but we need to avoid MMOs because our play speeds are different.
The game literally revolves around different ways to grind
if you're worried about not being able to play with friends, warframe is hardly a game that makes it difficult. you may have to deal with your buddies mowing shit down, but that will only go on for so long, until you are all equally mowing shit down, and then you will face shit that you can't just mow down in 2 seconds.
well none of that shit matters if you're an anime girl
if an actual woman fell into all of those categories nobody would even glance at them
>Maybe some survival shit like hunger/thirst/rest and injuries for added spice.
I think these things are under-pronounced in mmos because they can quickly become monotonous if done incorrectly. Lets say that, even if you had to only prepare by bringing mana and health pots, im sure that it would become stale at some point during the leveling process.
I don't remember the last time I used "crafting" to aid me in my leveling process in a game besides GW2. I can't remember the last time I made potions in an mmo solely for the reason that I NEEDED them (outside of cutting edge raiding, which quickly just becomes another checklist).
it could be made more interesting by say, making you need to take particular things for certain zones. like maybe a poison antidote for a swamp zone. you might not need it until you somehow become poisoned, but if you don't have it, you'll probably die. what would really make it work though is the severity, like the poison will kill you in 3 minutes.
a lot of crafting in games is too on-the-side, like needing to go to a trainer in town constantly or something. needs to be something you can just learn once and train while in the field.
not a MMO
anyone playing swordman online?
After being out for 5 years GW2 is finally starting to go from meh to not bad
I never got into MMO, in concept is great but I gave priorities into other hobbies I couldn't give enough time to play to an MMO so I will never experience what is like to make virtual friends and/or see a game in its final days. In a way i envy people who spend their time in MMO because they put so much dedication in their game
>WoW content model
So no content then?
1. something that will cure my depression
2. math
3. i mean i play rotmg sometimes
any news about upcoming korean/japanese rpg? Some dude in Sup Forums posted one and it looks cool, it looks like it has everything. idk what happened to it tho and it's almost the end of the year
In around ~5-10 hears we'll have WoW VR with updated graphics and shit. Can't wait.
>"value"
fucking kek
>no magic
>No ranged classes period
>No support skills
>Only swords, shields, axes, and spears
>awkward crafting systems
>Ideal MMO
heeeeell of a broad question there.
Probably something like the bastard child of The Secret World (quest structuring, storytelling, atmosphere and cosmetic clothing), The Elder Scrolls Online (skill system, character body sliders, misc cosmetics, a bit of the combat) Guild Wars 2,(bit of the combat, weapons selection, mount system) and a hint of City of Heroes' ability for the players to become overpowered as shit.
Oh, and a bit of the world of all three. Like how TSW has nice, fairly realistically scaled structures, the sort of vastness of ESO and GW2. That kind of thing.
>>IDEAL MMO?
Anything with endgame content that isn't
>play 1000 hours to collect enough money to buy a fancy sword
or
>grind same unfun content over 9000 times to get that 0.0001% drop chance epic loot
I was in the middle of my raid when suddenly an ant crawled over my monitor. But he wasn't alone,he was in a party with a friend. But of them died. My setup is near a window.
What does this mean?
Blood Wolves who are apart of the warband coalition in the north west mountains, right? Those warring fucks keep demanding taxes from everyone around them or kill those who tried to settle there, so I moved. Hopefully one of the other coalitions rain down upon them and slaughter all of them.
stop spitting your carbonated sugary drinks at your monitor
Also forgot to add from the city of heroes side:
>CoH's build flexibility
>CoH's player created content base (I seriously think ESO is missing out on not making player made mission system and calling "ESO Creation Kit")
>CoH's player/guild home editting (I want back my sushi bar!)
Sooooo what's the ERP game right now?
Always FFXIV
It's...varied at this point. There are two elite specializations per class, each adds a new useable weapon and new skills. Only one can be active at a time.
well the meta balance has shifted from power-based builds to condition builds, for one
outside of one or two classes, if you're running power you're just fucking things up for everyone else
hello kitty online
guild wars 1 (2)
guild wars 2 is not my guild wars, he is probably some other shit
FF14 and TERA like always. Difference is that people actually play FF14, meanwhile TERA is 100% ERP so it's easier to find.
whats ERP?
Games that are so trash, that unironically ERP is the least shit thing to do in them. XIV and TERA for example.
I only drink water, I've been on a diet for three years now. Are insects attracted to the signal or w/e comes off of electronics?
>tfw been 3 years since I had a burger and I still can't stop thinking about them.
I'm losing my mind.
mmos will always suck because they can't work. Let's say you get fantasy eve with m&b combat + magic or whatever. Giant guilds will take all the territory, causing the player-generated content to become stale, just like eve. Devs aren't willing to make pve or resource control or crafting too hard, and they can't make story content fast enough to feed players. The only thing that will be satiating in an mmo is if things are exclusive, if you find that dungeon first and claim the sleeping weapon within, preventing other players from getting it, but that will never be accepted. Basically we need full dive stuff like log horizon to ever make an mmo not shit
>GRINDAN
materials for the first tier of guild wars 2's latest legendary weapon
desu the absolute materials creep for these latest legendaries pisses me off but it's fucking worth it for some fel grimoire that floats out in front of you while you cast from it
also looking for other MMOs to play but failing since I've been spoiled by being able to move and cast at the same time
European Rice Packing
What's the point of spending thousands on a PC if you're not going to play BDO? Did you people really build a rig to play some PS2 looking game called Closers? I swear it's a game from 2004 that they're just now releasing.
there's one thing and one thing only that'd make me want to touch BDO, and that's if they released a standalone char creator so I could make waifus all day
