PC gaming console style

Who here God Race?

>setting PC like console requires many wireless components + planning and a couple hours setup

>Wireless 360 controller works as a mouse perfectly and virtual keyboard can be accessed via a button (controller companion app)

>this way PC is not ideal for internet browsing, but thats why i have another PC in bedroom

I've been using my TV as a monitor for years now. I'm moving out in a few months and I'm planning on switching to a setup like yours where I can switch between it and a typical dual monitor setup. Right now I'm just trying to figure out where everything should go since the room I'll be putting it all in is pretty small.

>gaming on a Tv
>wireless controllers
>liking input lag this much

>endless piracy
>no need for new pc every 4 years unlike console
>regards input lag it will shock you how fuckin none there is. in fact it feels wrong to have no input lag coz there should be

>Losing precision, low input delay, and fast, decent panels just for a couch
Doesn't sound like God race to me.

>it will shock you how fuckin none there is
no it wont. ive played on TVs / wireless controllers, its much worse

your autism is glowing. all modern games are controller compatable now + no input lag. regards precision all games have aim assist now just like console

i took best of 2 worlds

That's why I play on console. Why build a 800€ pc when all other taks except gaming are so restricted when playing on a tv while comfy sitting on a couch.

and btw ps4 pro was 280€ this black friday

>ive played on TVs / wireless controllers

I am talking about 2.4ghz xbox 360 controller and a 2015 TV

you played in 2004 on a madcats wirless infrared controller and a ray tube tv

>ray tube tv
those have less input lag than any 2015 TV, you clearly dont know anything about this subject

>planning and a couple hours setup
are you retarded or jsut slow?

you have no idea what you talking about

setting a pc like console requires different software settings + all wireless hardware

I have my pc plugged into the tv, a usb extension lead coming to the sofa plugged into a usb hub with m+kb and wired controller on a padded laptop tray. Its less messy than you think and works well.

clean that fucking carpet

>wireless
i just use long ass extension wires and a tray for my setup

>not ideal for internet browsing
just windows key and +/- bro

If you're gonna play on a PC why use the bare minimum 60hz of a tv? Isn't the whole point performance?

A wireless controller adds way less input lag than any LCD TV ever created. Only CRTs give the true gaming experience.

>Isn't the whole point performance?

the whole point is piracy

and yes tv is 60hz and yes games look better than ps4. but i am not that much of a gfx whore

AC origins has 10/10 gfx and 3/10 gameplay

thinly-veiled console peasant thread

Anyone use Steam link and steam controller? Shit is great after the learning curve. I love how customizable it is and the technology works pretty good. Been using it for about 2 years now.

OPiss here. why bother? all modern games have native 360 controller support

Because most older game don't have controller support and there are a lot of games that don't support modern controller support. Also, steam controller is a million times better than a 360 controller in every way.

>older game don't have controller support

ah yes, there's an app called controller companion that lets you use 360 like kb+m but ofc no keyboard unless you use wireless kb.

>steam controller is a million times better than a 360 controller in every way.

Now thats where I disagree. every M$ product is complete utter garbage EXCEPT it's classic mouse and 360 controller

What the fuck? You're making this WAY more complicated than it needs to be

>Wireless keyboard/mouse, so I can be wherever I want
>Proper desk setup, with an HDMI cable from the PC to my TV, set to duplicate the desktop, so I don't need to fiddle with anything, I just have to turn my PC on and I'm good to go, all I have to do is sit down at my desk or on my couch, depending on what I feel like, and that's literally it

It literally could not be simpler. I honestly don't know why more people don't do it.

My pc/console hybrid is 100% focused on gaming. Its a chore to use internet on it except for basic shit like torrentin.

I got another pc for multimedia and shitpostin

I used to do this until I got a good monitor. I still prefer the way my TV looks, but the input lag and response times are generally way worse on TVs compared to monitors... At least that's my personal experience.
I don't even use consoles on my TV anymore, it's all on my monitor. The people who say input lag and response time aren't noticeable or important are just as bad as the retards who say there isn't a difference between 30 and 60 fps.

>PC gaming on 64" 4k tv
>Refresh Rate is shit
>Can only reach a max of 60fps
>Only have a 970 (no strix) so no 4k
>Can only sit 2-3 feet away
Playing on a normal monitor feels like heaven compared to this but it's still pretty cool.

It's a good controller, but the amount of buttons you can map on a steam controller will always make it better. especially when it comes to FPS games. Gyro aiming is the best if you have to use a controller. And by using whatever application you're talking about you have to configure it every time you play a new game. But with the steam controller you pick the best community made template in the steam interface and you can play in under a minute.

>aim assist
next you'll just be watching others play

too much work
I use HDMI cable, and have wireless mouse and keyboard stashed near couch, nest to pad.
But I rarely use for "serious" gaming. For this, my custom-made desk and executive chair are far more comfortable.

I have a similar setup and most of the time I play on my PC anyway. Why?

Because the couch I have in front of my TV is too comfortable, so I "disconnect" a bit from the game. I can't play anything serious on the couch, it feels as if I had no influence on what happens on the screen and I get killed all the time. It's quite weird.

Does it happen to you too?

So tell me, how are you playing on your pc and lowering your wireless signal exposure? You are aware of how much radiation you're obsorbing via wifi and bluetooth shit the machine is beaming out, right?..

You've just shown you're about 12 years old, fucking lol. Fuck off

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Non-ionizing_radiation

You're late to Mass.

enjoy trying to read chat messages from couch

How cute. Did you know a few hundred years ago they didn't think smoking was bad for you either :)

Do you have any education on Physics or Biology?

god i really want to kiss her

I do the opposite. My consoles are connected to one of my PC monitors, I'll just do everything sitting on this one chair.

More than most, clearly

>spend 29 years looking intently at a bright monitor
>eyesight is shit now have to wear glasses

maybe i should have been using a TV 20 feet away from my eyes...

Should have picked up the steam link while it was on sale for 5 bucks. Makes things retarded easy to set up. Doesn't have to be a steam game and you can stream your full desktop as well.

You're clearly lying. Someone posted a little chart showing that can't possibly damage any part of your body. Stop lying.

my nigga

Didn't you post this trash yesterday also? Fuck off there's literally zero scientific proof in favor of EMF sensitivity and you're literally surrounded by it 24/7

I have a steam link and xbone controller, perhaps it's just because I'm too used to KB/M or just the games I've tried, but I almost never feel comfortable playing that way and have ended up back in the study playing on the PC itself. Couple of exceptions being walking simulators, and more recently NeiR: Automata, which I'm enjoying enough to persist with.
Wish the steam link was 4k though.

i do this too. 27" screen, but im thinking i want a decent 32". cant seem to find a decent one thats still 16:9. i hate superwides

>staring at a massive array of flickering lights for 12-18 hours a day for years and years
>there's no way your eyes can be damadeg from that

i'm pretty sure being outside and looking at actual sun is better for your eyes

>Set up my DS3 in 5 min
>Get a comfy chair

And that's it.

Are you retarded OP?

>most modern TVs don’t have DisplayPort input
why is this allowed?

>D
because its a meme port
