Nintendo's last truly good system (handhelds notwithstanding). I used to have a major hard on for the 'cube. I even got into tunneling Mario Kart, playing PSO, etc. Being home to the original and definitive version of the GOAT Resident Evil 4 is reason enough to own one.
However, after many years, I started to realize that a lot of the games on GameCube were just shittier versions of N64 games. SM64 is better than Sunshine, OoT is better than Twilight Princess, Perfect Dark is better than Timesplitters, Star Fox 64 is better than Assault, etc.
Over time, I found myself playing it less and less, to the point where I don't touch it anymore. I can still go back and have a blast with the N64 and other old consoles, but outside of a few games like RE4, there are better alternatives to what's on the cube.
