Drift Stuff

I barely play any racing games. Are there any that have particularly good drift mechanics?

Either official Initial D games or other games that give the same kinda feeling of sliding round corners and shit.
Eurobeat isn't necessary but a great bonus.

So this is what Sup Forums has become.

Mario kart 64 through 8 deluxe

NFS 2015 could be good for drifting if you tweak it right. But it sucks for driving straight.

The Initial D Arcade Stage games are fantastic games. You should definitely play them.

It's also an incomplete mess and the people online won't drive how the game expects them to. They will grab the fastest car and slam into every corner and still win.

Kaido racer 2

That too

Forza Horizon 3. You can even set up a full Eurobeat soundtrack on the pc version.

Assetto corsa.
Since Kunos unfucked the physics it's probably the best driftan game out there.
You can get just about every Initial D car through either official DLC or mods, and there's a multitude of touge runs to download.
There are even Formula D cars and courses.

Somebody even made an Initial D Arcade Stage 6 hud mod:

Absolute Drift

this

Ridge Racers it's really easy to drift as that's what the whole game us about.

Tokyo Xtreme racer Drift 2 Or Tokyo Xtreme racer zero

Is there a recent RR game that's not on a dead console or mobile BS?

Outrun 2 is best.

this game is super trash, dont buy it lol
nooo content at all

drifting is a shitty meme and has ruined racing games forever

...

Wangan Midnight Maximum Tune

>no home ports
y

Is Drift Stage ever coming out, Sup Forums?

>Assetto corsa.
Am I being meme'd or is this really a good game? It's like $20 on steam.

Wow, you're fucking retarded.

>I didn't listen to Eurobeat the post

Burnout paradise

It's a joke. Not a great joke, but it's a joke. Gas can also mean fart, that's the joke.

I really recommend emulating Daytona USA2, shits is a masterpiece

Okay, but under the context would it make sense blarp post? And no, that's not the joke, he was making a reference to this you stupid fuck:

Not being memed, just be aware that it's a pain to drive with a controller. A steering wheel is recommended.

It really is good. But keep in mind that it's a simulation. Without a wheel it's less fun.

the joke was made by the second poster not the first you fucking mongoloid we all know that fucking song idiot
it was a shitty joke but u dont have to be such a braindead moron about it
kill yourself

Any GT between 3 and 6. The all feature the Initial D cars and with the custom soundtrack of 5 and 6 you can even play Eurobeat in the game.

Don't listen to the retarded posts trying to give you half assed games.

The arcade system for Initial D 6 AA got leaked earlier this year and the commies made an Emulator. It's got some bugs but it's still Initial D Arcade Stage for free, they've also got 7 AA X with card support in their patreon build of the Emulator.

Google TeknoParrot.

>tfw no PC good enough to emulate.
At least my local arcade has an 8 machine. Is it worth it? Is there good eurobeat?

I see. What is a good arcade alternative to AC? preferably something with regular people cars, I don't care for sport/luxury models.

8 gameplay wise is alright and music wise it has Ken Blast so that's all you really need.

Is the gameplay in 8 worse than the previous iterations? I've only played the PSP port of 3, I understand the gameplay has changed a lot since then.

Try Auto Modellista, it has pretty fun drift mechanics but the controls are floaty

How do I emulate?

Supposedly the japanese version plays better - they changed the physics for the international release.

Worse? No, they're all great just tuned differently, but they're alot different when compared to home console releases as they're built for actual steering wheels.

WHAT THE FUCK

Forza Horizon 3 is more arcadey and allows you to customize and paint your vehicles, so you can create your own drift machines in-game.
It has no mods though, and no Initial D stuff other than whatever music you provide yourself.
Grid 2 has some really fun arcade style drift racing physics, but it's lacking in terms of normal road cars and the presentation is unbearably obnoxious. Also no mods to be found.

>you have to listen to eurobeat to drift
>never played NFSU: the post

Supermodel

Drifting is for faggots

Track mania even tho its pretty arcadey

Densha de D would be my recommendation.

It's not even that obscure. It was run at GDQ this year.

NFSU2
It has an unusually detailed tuning system, so you can set up your car to handle exactly how you want it to.

This. Nothing beats drifting around corners with all that beautiful scenery.
