Gwyn did NOTHING wrong
He was a true hero
Gwyn did NOTHING wrong
I hate how the great lord great sword isn't on fire when the player uses it.
gwyn as anti-human
>Casting out his heir
>Raising gwyndolin as a trap
>Forgetting about the pygmy
>Lord of sunlight
>Doesn't do a single lightning attack
At least Soul of Cinder got it right.
It's cause he's hollow dude. That's the reason the Soul of Cinder has a lightning attack, because a piece of Gwyn's soul is in there.
So actual Gwyn can't shoot lightning but something else a piece of his soul can? u wot m8
miyazaki did say that everything after anor londo was a rushed, incomplete mess
Nobody was wrong. Everyone was a victim of circumstances.
>cycle of oppression against mankind
>nothing wrong
I want Darkmoons out of my game
He didnt cast out his own son. The son was cast out after Gwyn had linked the fire.
humans are literally monsters born in the abyss, they are pure evil
gwyn was perhaps too merciful by letting them live
Is Gwyn Santa Claus?
>Raising gwyndolin as a trap
/ourguy/
The Gwyn you fight at the end of Dark Souls is soulless, he's a husk. Soul of Cinder contains the last piece of Gwyn's soul that he gave to the fire, in a desperate attempt to keep the age of fire/age of the gods going.
Gwyn literally caused the cycles to start.
He cursed all humans and created the hollow scourge.
He allowed a blind scaleless dragon to do god knows what in a tower near his house.
He turned his son into a trap.
Idk, he did a few things wrong
Name one (1) thing Seath objectively did wrong
he casts out his son, after he is saying that murdering all dragons is wrong.
While he has a half dragon half human child
*Enslave your race*
Fuck off, Vaati
Destroyed his own means of immortality
Wait. How did Gwyn and most of his soldiers live so long?
He was a scalelet
He didnt cast out his son. Its litereally a mistranslation by the english translation. In japanese text its clear he was cast out after gwyn linked the fire.
gwyn and his soldiers were pretty much gods
they don't die of old age
>t. seath
oh I don't know, kidnapping and torturing people just so he can try to be immortal and prove that he's a real boy dragon and not some scalelet who betrayed all of his brethren
>kidnapping and torturing people
>betrayal
Those are not objectively wrong
>Race traitor.
>Race mixer.
>Beastiality.
>Kidnapping.
>Mengele-tier experiments on kidnap victims.
>Dies like a bitch despite immortality.
>objectively
Also, Chosen Undead murders pretty much everyone so that's not an argument
...
They objectively are wrong in Seath's case however due to his mephitic motivation.
he stood between me and the ending
and that's unforgivable
Not an argument
>objective
>in this case
That's not how this works
There was no Abyss when Gwyn did what he did.
>Betrayed his race out of sheer faggotry, jealousy, greed.
>Race-mixing with other species is inherently wrong due to eugenics and producing disadvantaged offspring, who unsurprisingly went nuts due to being a product of beastiality.
>Kidnapping for selfish and vain pursuits.
>Experimentation for selfsh and vain purposes.
>Didn't have the skill or intellect to defend himself—not street smart.
So his father went linking the fire and then he was cast out from the air.
Becomes allies with the archenemies of his father and everyone else..but was not cast out from his father.
He was definetly cast out from his father, but probably before gwynn decided to link the first flame. He was against it, gwynn casted him out and went linking the fire. Gwynn wanted his age not to end and his son realized that shey should revert back to the age of the ancient gods.
No matter how often you repeat yourself, those points aren't
>objectively
>gets bullied
>decides to betray its own race and kill everyone.
>what´s wrong with that?
>objectively
He lost. I'd said that's as objective as you can get. He had a clear goal which he failed to achieve, and got bested by a mortal.
if you claim that kidnapping, torture, and betrayal are not objectively wrong, then I can't argue with you.
Do you also claim that killing people isn't objectively wrong? Because Seath did that too. How about robbing people of their agency by turning them into mindless creatures that are his slaves? That's what the snake people are.
Let me guess, those aren't 'objectively wrong' either right? Hence 'le edge mayamay'
Not making the primordial Crystal invisible, and not making himself invisible.
I dont really care about your fan fiction vaati. The japanese text pretty clearly indicate he was cast out after Gwyn had linked the fire.
>dragonloving traitors
>fuckyeah world's best dad
>lol who cares
You can't talk ethics objectively, it's noncognitive—but we accept that when we discuss ethics. When you say "hurr durr it's not objective", we already know, so when you load the question with """(((objectively)))""", you delegate it to an unprovable netherworld. If you're willing to employ that then there's no point in discussing ethics period and makes your supposition—"You can't prove X did Y"—stupid and dishonest. If we follow your logic, I can kill you and your family for any reason and it's not wrong.
He was a coward who couldn’t accept the end of something old and the beginning of something new. What he did was far far worse than what would have happened had the darkness just taken over and ran it’s course like it normally does. As eventually, the age of fire would have started again. But noooo, this pussy couldn’t stand that idea and restarts the cycle and creates a new cycle of restarting the cycle. The results being a catastrophic mess because you don’t mess with the natural order damn it.
My very first post was about him not doing anything objectively wrong. You're not so smart, are you?
This, though, I concede. He fucked up big time here
>Comes back as Soul of Cinder
>Attacks 30% slower
What did Miyazaki mean by this?
He was the bull.
Priscilla probably didn't care for him.
The whole point of ending the age of dragons was so things can finally die. They lived incredibly long but I’m sure they could still die of old age. The reason their alive is because they’re hollow.
>Halfbreed Priscilla origin story.jpg
>Gwyn did NOTHING wrong
>Curses Humanity
>DRAGONED
>SCALED
No—your very first post was a loaded bullshit supposition premised with a hidden axiom:
>hurr durr you can't """prove""" it objectively because ethics don't fall into objectivity
Usually when someone makes that question, you deep down hope they don't go full retard.
>priscilla was actually the love interest of gwyns first born
>gwyn casts out his son and seals priscilla into a painting
>priscilla had a child, trannyboy finds out takes care of her because priscillas world is dying.
Now this makes much more sense than him beeing ocelotte.
Stop arguing with someone who keeps using the word objectively to argue. What a waste of time.
Atleast SoC isn't parryiable, right? I actually don't remember correctly.
Embarassing samefag
I've forgotten the entirety of DaS3 unfortunately.
the abyss is the paradice
>Now this makes much more sense than him beeing ocelotte.
what? whothe fuck has that idea? Ocelotte is simply the child of Ociros (spelling?) and the queen of Lothric (likely Gwyn's daughter)
Hes called lord of cinder when you fight him retard. He lost his lightning powers from keeping the first flame lit for so long. You never face gwyn at full power.
He isn't. The problem is more than his health pool is fucking minuscule and he dies so fast that he never even uses half his moveset.
Yep, you can't parry him.
Oolacile
>SCALED
>Seath the Scaleless
Dumb fuck
Seathe is a cuck in the dragon society
weak final boss
>cuck in that picture is a human
Dumb fuck
>Forgetting about the Pygmy
Except he didn't, he kept the Pygmies in check by sending out his youngest daughter to keep them locked away within a never ending dream land prison hideaway so they wouldn't influence history.
one user who loved das3 tried to explain. That trannyboy got the son of oceiros and just raised him and told him that he is his big brother.
Because he is also a dragon-like thing.
Autism
>Gwyn literally caused the cycles to start.
Try again. Gwyn was just the first to hold back the oncoming age of dark.
Pic related is the true antagonist of the entire series, she started the entire thing and we will never ever get to fight her.
It's either that or people complain about damage sponges (Midir for example).
>we will never ever get to fight her
Bed of Chaos.
The health pools on Souls bosses have been getting bloated as the power creep gets bigger in each game.
"MUH PREPARE TO DIE" from Namco/From unfortunately.
>Forgetting about the pygmy
Pic related basically proves he didn't though.
They even all have crowns when Gael is busy devouring them. Gwyn clearly made them kings.
Midir would be fine if he wasn't a massive fucking dragon that only took damage from a weak point that has a tiny window of vulnerability. The fight's just bad, and the only reason people talk it up is so that they can feel better about it.
Outside of Midir, DaS3's health pools were really small, so I don't know what you mean. You can bully a lot of bosses down by just hitting them a bunch of times and then riposting.
Presented the one thing that gave him immortality out in the open. Glowing. Reachable by foot. Destructable in 1 hit. What a dingus
>"The Witch of Izalith attempted to duplicate the First Flame from a soul, but instead created a distorted being of chaos and fire."
Bed of Chaos isn't her. It's the thing she created by mistake.
>she started the entire thing
no, she attempted to reignite the first flame AFTER it had already faded. That created the chaos flame, and had nothing to do with the hollow curse.
Ringed City literally confirms that Gwyn placed the darksign on humanity in an attempt to prolong the age of fire, thus causing the entire plot
I mostly agree with you guys, but my poikt wasn't about hp in particular, but that people will complain no matter what they get.
>boss has rather low hp
>"what a pushover, lmao no challenge"
>boss has much hp
>"wtf damage sponge, artificial difficulty!"
Kind of the same with DaS2 and DaS3, people often complained about DaS2 being no proper sequel but then also complain about DaS3 being fan service.
Maybe it's just my impression, but I feel like From gets shit on for almost anything that isn't completely perfect.
she didn´t started the cylces you mong, what she did was making everyone in izalith into demons and releasing the actual chaos(flame). That´s the reason the ivory king was deep inside a lavapool.
If from didn´t wanted to shit out a rehash souls just go get out of the contract from bamco, souls3 would be about this. They hinted it the last dlc in souls2 and in souls3 there is no lava.
Actually they hinted every new game in their franchise with the last dlc. Abyss shards -> Nashandra and now Old Moonlight -> Kingsfield 5
>Ringed City literally confirms that Gwyn placed the darksign on humanity in an attempt to prolong the age of fire, thus causing the entire plot
Where is this specifically stated or alluded to?
Problem is they made several really good games that take a lot of effort to get right. So the bar is really high.
I think there's too many choices in terms of character development and equipment. It works against them in terms of balancing the game. It's why BB's balancing is spot on IMO.
the armor of the ringed knights. one of the pieces talks about how Gywn placed the symbol on them, and you can see it on the set as well. There's also some shield (the dragon head one?) that talks about how Gywn basically used them as cannon fodder and then doomed them afterwards
Outside of a two or three bosses, most of BB's fights are on the same level as most other souls bosses. When I played BB I also felt like it suffered from most of the weapons feeling the same, even when they have wildly different movesets. Stakedriver ended up as my favorite weapon, but only because I liked the idea of it, not really because it felt like it was so set apart from the other weapons.
