What are some really well designed enemies?

Pic absolutely NOT related
>*Spawns a fireball turret too high for you to reach*
Here's your level, bro
*throws a dagger*
no problem sonny boy
She can stamp me any time
Wait ok I've slain and ran from countless jailer's. Is the peace sign on their poker legit? I literally never noticed that. I love it.
It's not a peace sign, look more carefully.
>*leads black k***ht to kill all of them*
I think what I really hated about this enemy is that it was pure trial and error. I died to one only once the entire playthrough, because you have no idea it can do that until you see it, and then it's too late.
But then you'll never fall for it again, so it might as well not even be there.
The thing I hate about it is that it's basically a walking beacon that does free damage at all times and reduces healing by 100%.
In Nioh that jailer would have had his weapon bounce against the wall instead of phasing through it.
That's Dark Souls for you. Enemies can swing weapons bigger than you through anything, but if you barely touch a wall, chair, or tiny piece of decoration with a weapon, you're stunned and recoil.
just don´t use estus, they pretty much oneshot you anyway and all the free damage isn´t damage if they just deplete an empty health bar
>Mercedez-Benz sign
What did he mean by this?
Soldier heartless are a personal favorite
It blows my mind that they solved this issue in DaS2, but it came back in BB and DaS3 in full form.
...
Why does that mask look like Putin?
Still have no idea how they apply their health drain effect at range
I get that they can poke you, and that they have an aura signified by the gas, but the effect area for the ranged one has no indication whatsoever and seems to just be whenever they even look at you
As long as you're in their line of sight it affects you. People tested this by spawning them across the bridge to Irithyll and running across.
>*Blocks your path*
Jesus, watching this actually upset me. Thats completely unacceptable for a game released just last year.
>teleports behind you
>tanks everything except mesa
Here's your stunlock bro.
*blocks your path*
Never realized Air Soldiers and Soldiers were the same heartless but in different outfits. Despite the name I just figured this out now.
This happens all the time in BB and DS3. They kinda fixed it in DS2.

I feel like DaS 3 had the worst clipping in the entire series, enemies with whips or chains felt completely broken the last time I played, hitting me trough walls and floors constantly
It’s clear that there was a collision detection with the wall from the sparks when the jailers attack went through. Only thing I can think of is there wasn’t an animation for that event so the attack just registered as normal. Shouldn’t have done damage though.
>k***ht
lol
Yeah, I noticed it in-game, thought it was fucking hilarious.
