GBA was pretty forgettable. 80 percent of its library was ports of old snes games or console games.
This is considered a hidden gem, right?
Also, this.

>"I have never played GBA." - some faggot
sugoi monogatari, onii-chan
Fucking hell, found this game, ogre tactics and advance wars 2 thrown into the bargain bin in my city, they were my absolute shit. Was Yggdra Union the one where your weapons would degrade?
I'm sorry what game is this?
...
Lady Sia
He's somewhat right, a lot of good GBA games are ports
This game was masterpiece.
Yggdra Union
tfw i never finished the 2nd one cuz the SD on my phone died around the endgame
I wish the dungeon crawling one get english translation.
A better version released for PSP
I hope you played the original too.

I so like this aesthetic. For me it just screams of 00's happiest expectations for what's in bag for the future.
second one is much better
game is actually hot garbage but damn i enjoyed it enough
It's a decent Metroidvania
Not as good as the original, but alright by itself.
what were the improvements in the psp version
This game isn't underrated at all, it gets a lot of praise whenever I see people talk about it.
Best GBA game.
graphics and music, I think there's some extra characters you can recruit as well
>never owned a GBA
>don't get a nostalgia bonus when trying to play most of its games
>still get a bonus from GB and GBC, though
So the original is inherently better. I tried to play the e-reader levels from Super Mario Advance and the whole game played like ass. How do you even fly? As soon as you the jump button, the run button unpresses by itself.
>Any summon night on GBA
>Underrated.
Just because poeple don't go doing threads about them doesn't mean they are underrated hajimari no ishi the best.
>tfw I played this
>I wish dash wasn't tap two times in one direction
>upgraded all the wrong stats
>I got stuck on ng+
>too lazy to restart
Units recover HP when they level up instead of just from spending your consumables/equipment and there are way fewer restrictions on special attacks.
Yes it is.
bruh i've never herd anyone in or outside of chan who actually knows what a summon night is
...
>you will never be 1v5'd by Gulcasa ever again.
Why is the GBA pinball so good?
I came uppon this game by chance the other day and I had a huge flashback. I used to play it all the time and completely forgot about it, but it perfectly explains how much I'm into XCOM these days, it was actually made by the creator of XCOm as well.
is it like xcom
Every GBA port is shit and inferior to the original because they had to brighten up the colors to make up for the system having the worst screen of all time, not to mention the horrible soundchip. There's a reason people had to make patches for emulating to restore the original visuals/sound, it was that bad.
...
>tfw most of Sup Forums wasn't old enough to remember when the GBA came out
>tfw most of Sup Forums has never owned a VBA in their life
>tfw most of Sup Forums is literally just euphoric redditors who emulates the games
>tfw most of Sup Forums has never even owned a ps2, let alone a ps1
Fuck!! Why do I come here??? It's been 7 years and i know I'll never leave.
This game wasnt that great but the soundtrack is probably one of the best on the system.
George no Kitaro had a bitchin’ action platformer for the GBA made by Konami. It’s so fucking good
It's exactly like X-Com, except maybe destructable terrain, I don't remember it being possible. I guess it resembles X-Com more than XCOM does in some sense. I've just started it on a emulator, still doing the tutorial and I can actually see how changing X-Com's UI to resemble Rebelstar would improve some stuff in the game.
Because once in the blue moon
some faggot posts a okay thread
And the it goes to bump cap.
Or you buy a new game, at release, and you need some sort of outlet.
Came here to post this. My favourite handheld game of all time
>VBA
Truly underrated.
I was set on buying a GBA, but my parents told me that they didn't think it was such a good idea, essentially banning me from using my own money on a GBA.
I so desperately wanted a replacement for my problematic OG Game Boy, but nope.
Now I have an N3DS and a Switch and can spend my own money how I darn well please.
(I'd play GBA games on VBA, they got GBA emulation down super fast. Too bad the GBA has always had fucking terrible audio that plagues every single game on the system, really hurts it to this day)
came here to post this
amazing movement system
I fucking love the style of all the Dept. Heaven games, but the only one I was ever able to get really into is Knights in the Knightmare. Probably the best, but I wish I had the attention span to wrap my head around the others.
I own riviera for GBA, maybe I oughtta give it another chance. Though it doesnt help that my shoulders buttons are broke
>Now I have an N3DS and a Switch and can spend my own money how I darn well please.
yeah, fuck you mom and dad!
What makes you say this?
If only parents were infallible.
Fucking retard bastard, I was young enough to remember buying a damn GBA for the first time, my first game I bought for it was a Wario Land 4 and my sister got Spongebob Revenge of the Flying Dutchman. I even remember it was dark as hell trying to play it at night too. In fact we both had our own GBAs. I had the platinum one and she had the purple one. Trying to assume im some sort of faggot with no games growing up nigga please
>be south american
>nintendo hates you and never able to get your hands on a GBA
Fuck those gooks, everything nintendo was emulated for me
>7 years
You are like a little baby.
Start complaining when you make to the 10th year.
I'm just like it, problem?
It was a decent beat 'em up.
Even my colombian ass could buy GBA games in stores, where the hell did you live? Bolivia?
Islas Malvinas
I bought a GBA back in 2002 just fine. And then only ever played pirated cartridges because the games were hard to find and prohibitively expensive.
And I thought Argentinians had it easier than us Colombians.
son argentinas.
>tfw Mankin anime remake never ever
did you find the game tough or was it just me?
Why did they change the name to jet grind radio again?
Pretty easy imo. Then again, whenever I got a new weapon I'd just going to practice mode until I got the overdrive for it then continue
I don't think any Argentinians actually live on the Falklands.
